I've actually been in a car while being chased by elephants. Multiple times. They can be really, REALLY dangerous. They get very aggressive. On one or two memorable occasions, we were chased by the whole herd. Scary Shit. They aren't always like that, but you never know when there's a calf around, or the young males are territorial. We actually have marks on our one Jeep from a few months ago when my parents were taking a game drive and the car stalled and wouldn't start again at the worst time. There was an angry elephant and he managed to dent the body work before they finally got away. My dad had all the vehicles serviced after that, lol.

 

Well, I do need a new ironing board:

… and depending on how you take the cream filling it could be either an addition to your protein diet or it could be fattening in the extreme (for at least 9 months) and give some weight which is EXTREMELY hard to get rid of for at least 18 years.

I had to search STOBOR and it is a good concept.

Just wait for the jack-a-lopes to appear in the near future: if you think a cat-girl magician with a squirrel (who is a reincarnated druid) is crazy - try a magician whose spirit-companion is a jack-a-lope (and who loves opera, and named "Thunder Lungs")

 

I've never read Tunnel in the Sky... I don't know how many other RAH fans are on the forum.
