Obama Derangement Syndrome

Most of this is an interesting explanation of how ballistic missiles work. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that snowleopard3200 is more informed on at least one subject than I had expected.

Then I encountered the last sentence, "Given the treasonous actions of the Obama-admin, I would not put it past them to have already sold Israel's defenses down the river with Iran."

There it is: a clinical example of a symptom of Obama Derangement Syndrome. There is little point in trying to reason with someone who suffers from this milady. Therefore, my comments are reserved for those who are not afflicted.

First of all, President Obama would have no conceivable motive in sharing Iron Dome with Iran. Second, the only American president who has actually given weapons to the Revolutionary Iranian government was Ronald Reagan. Nevertheless, Reagan remains an iconic figure on the American right. Reagan's treasonous assistance for Iran was forgiven, and is nearly forgotten.

 

DL, I haven't agreed with you since... well... forever...... but that last paragraph (not your own, but the one you quoted) struck even yours truly as a little loopy.

One other thing: Iron Dome has no surprises. It is what it is. It is not SDI. It is a quantitative and to some degree qualitative improvement over the Raytheon anti-missile systems that have been shielding tactical theaters in the Middle East for the past 12+ years. But they don't make popcorn, they don't handle cab fares, they don't conjur rabbits out of hats, and they do not defend against ballistic missiles.

 

No, you didn't. You keep insisting on your right to choose whoever you want to fight, but never once have you been willing to say that Jordan is also in the wrong.

 

Our support for Israel is ultimately mercantile. Heck, there are more anti-Semites in the United States than anywhere on earth outside of Mecca, but we'll still do business with them.

And if the Palestinians would only get with the program and embrace modern civilization as full-fledged Israeli citizens, the benefits of that relationship would trickle down to them, too.

The Christians in Israel are living large. The Palestinians could be, too. But they choose to live in squalor instead, and they choose thugs to govern them. Bibi Netanyahu could be a friend to the Palestinians, if they would only let him.

Now, if you want a solution, get Hamas to stop firing rockets and Israel to stop firing missiles, and get both sides to take a look back at the LEGAL position of the land, as laid out by the United Nations.

If you're a Palestinian, there's not much you can do to get Israel to stop firing missiles. The Israelis, and Israel's allies, chief among them the USA, will have to do that. But if you are a Palestinian, you can damn well do something about getting Hamas to stop firing rockets.

 

i honestlly didn't know that u were looking for this line itself , i thought u were just trying to say go fight jordan too , that is why i told u before what i said in my previous post , come fight the war for us and give us our land back

i am already having this discussion with someone from the forum but outside the forum , we both trying to prove our points if the UN , the prim minister or whoever had the right in the first place to take a land away of some people and give it to others to call it theirs , just coz it is the UN it doesnt make it flawless and always right

that is what the whole discussion is all about , if either convinced the other i'd see ourselves getting somewhere

the whole area was once called Israel when Mouses was a prophet back then , then the pharaoh chased them and u know the story . there were ppl who stayed there they were still the real owner of the land too , they just didnt believe in Mouses , many many many years later those ppl became Christians and then Muslims , welcome to evolution , egypt had the same thing over the years it is used to be called different things , so is Kingdom saudi arabia , even spain , so is TONS of places , just coz u conquer , name urself of an old name to the place it doesnt make it urs
