Congrats on catching ShakeZula's entire post before he/she deleted it and told you to sod off.

Of course by ShakeZula I mean the thing that logs in as ShakeZula, on occasion, to fuck people.

 

I see in another thread a mod has proudly and loudly edited a post to remove the name of another site, because 'that's not allowed'. The post wasn't promoting the other site, just mentioning it to be helpful.

This is the Why.

Nophest/ILMJ seem to spend 2 seconds a month on this site. During that 2 seconds they may or may not casually issue some new edict. They have zero respect for the mods or anyone else on here, but we seem to have a pack of dogs gagging to obey their every command, however silly and however it affects their fellow members.

There are a lot of mods now and with their friends they to some extent are the CAW clique. But they are willing agents for the despicable owner and they delete stories.

Think about it. You slave over a story and a fellow writer deletes it. Alienating hardly covers it. You can't expect them to come and have fun with you in the forum.

Although the deleting has stopped, for now (apart from pedo I hope, that has consistently been banned in the story submission page) there's still the feeling that when ILMJ reappears with some new rule the CAW clique will again take up arms against their fellow writers.

It brings out the worst in some of you.

Mods you need to start thinking and acting for yourselves. Nothing bad will happen if you do, honestly. Reconnect with your fellow writers instead of feeding a power trip off them. Do what you believe in, and nothing else, then the forum will rebuild itself. ILMJ won't even notice.

 

Probably doesn't help that people spend more time bitching about the rules than actually reading and commenting on stories.

 

Some of us were burried alive and we keep ringing the bell but no one comes to dig us up.

We don't comment on the stories, that's why

I scrolled through the offerings, bypassing 'Impregnating my mom" and such like ( yes I do have limits) and settled on a story by LOannie and one by good old Snow.

In days of old Emmerson or I would have commented- most likely him. But the thing is someone would have noticed. Someone who have said something.

Up or down, right or wrong we bloodywell said something; they got recognition.

Now they're reduced to bumping their threads to get a response to all their hard work.

So if we want the forum to come alive and for us to see creativity here once more I have one word: respond.

(I'm going back to Snow's story now- it's really good and I'll revisit LOannie's one after- it's hot and I'll treat it as the dessert to Snow's main if that's OK with you guys.)

 

IMHO, and I have said it before and others have here too.

When people visit a site such as this, they join because they like what they see. Imagine seeing a car for sale but when you go to buy it, the owner has changed the wheels for rusty ones, removed the air-con, painted it shitty brown and had lied about the mileage. Would you still want it?

XNXX has had a similar fate. When I first joined, the banter was incredible, the bitching was fun but more importantly, there were hundreds who would regularly read and comment on your stories. The critique was helpful and encouraging. Unfortunately, things then changed. The bitching became nasty, deliberate and vindictive voting down of stories,factions seemed to form and if you didn't bow down to some of them and lick arse, you were a pariah. The most prolific writers slowed down and the new writers had no encouragement whatsoever.

Yes, the rule changes were annoying to some but the biggest change is how little support WE gave the new writers. I write on a site where the readers cannot leave comments but I get 4 or 5 times more emails on there than I ever did on here. I get feedback, comments, suggestions, criticism and praise. I love it, just like I used to love XNXX.

It is sad, very sad because I made some good friends here. The rule changes and attitude of the owners is now driving the nails into the coffin and it's not the rules themselves per se, but the manner in which they are delivered, the lack of consideration towards the members and the apparent disregard for the (unpaid) Mods.

XNXX was fun, but please remember to send flowers to the funeral.

 

Thanks for noticing my story of the Chronicles of Elsa, I have wished more people would respond.
That has been one main concern of mine, for without commentary, I have no idea how the story is being received.
