  2. Hello,

You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

The pictures that you will send me for verification won't be public

    Best regards,

    StanleyOG.

Something for the rabid mouth-frothing idiots on both sides to get their knickers in a twist about .. and for the reasonable people (if there are any left) to discuss.

    Israelis: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-28437626
The UN will investigate potential war crimes and breaches of international law by the Israeli Army (while also, it must be said, condemning Hamas for its continual targeting of Israeli civilian dwellings.) Israel's response can be boiled down to "screw you, we'll do whatever it takes to defend ourselves and we don't give a crap about international law."

    Meanwhile the Palestinians: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-28450436
Red Cross relief workers attacked by a civilian mob in Gaza. Now I'm not actually sure if the Geneva Convention, or other international law, formally dictates that the Red Cross must be allowed to do its work unscathed, but right-thinking people the world over will condemn any assaults on them.

There shouldn't be any such thing as war crimes.
War should have no rules, it isn't a game.

Now seriously. Did anyone think a war in the Mideast would be fought "legally"?

    Those assholes been killing eachother for more than 2,000 years, and the best any one of them can come up with for a reason is;

Your ancient ancestor killed my ancient ancestor's goat, or raped my daughter, or stole my wife. I kill you!
    OR
The way you worship your God offends me. I kill you!

Let em have at it. I do not care.

If you want rules for war they wouldn't be any wars.
Just make it against the rules to kill anyone of the other side.
    Sounds simple.
As simple as the people who believe rules will be obeyed during a war.

War is not a game and thinking anyone will follow rules during war is crazy.

Ultimately in the end it will be this:

Israel will be castigated to no end for 'war crimes' while Hamas is given free-reign and declared 'victims of Israeli aggression' as is already happening in much of the world.

And yet we sentenced various German leaders to death for not following them. Even though the rules weren't written until after WW2, and applied retroactively...

There is a difference between genocide and a war crime. The Jews are not trying to destroy a entire race.

Some Germans were prosecuted for war crimes alone; some for genocide alone; many of them, for both.

Israel has been getting a free pass for the atrocities they commit, for years. Every time cease-fires are broken, it's them damned Palestinians; every time Israel fires a rocket at a hospital or school or wherever, it's retaliation for something Hammas did. Every time the Israeli's decide to invade Gaza, they "have good reason, and the backing of western governments" that allows them to do it.

So, tell me where exactly Hammas or Palestine, are getting this 'free-reign'?

There is no such thing as international law. It's a UN pipe dream that some countries obey some of time. And the repercussions for breaking international law depend very much on whether the US says it's okay to break the law.

Israel-Palestine discussion is not really that complex.

Israel has offered concessions to everything the Palestinians have ever asked for with the exception of the 'immediate and complete removal of all the Jews from the Islamic holy land (Or as it's more commonly known, Earth).' To which the country founded by genocide survivors decided to say "No, and if you threaten us, we will make you pay." And that they have.

Actually...Israel has as many instances of not even making it as far as the table to talk peace, as Palestine. They have are also guilty for breaking as many cease-fires, firing indiscriminately into high-pop areas.

I never understood "war crimes" either.

Sure, under the Geneva Convention, ordered militias agreed on a wink and handshake to treat POW's respectfully (do unto others and all that), but it all goes out the window when one is fighting an unordered adversary.

Look at Afghanistan. How many American POW's have come back from Afghanistan?

    One.

    A deserter.

    The rest were all slaughtered.

So, how much common courtesy does the United States owe Afghanistan in future conflicts?

    Less than zero.

The people making the rules should fight the wars. They could follow their orders very easily.
When anyone else is fighting a war they should be the ones making the rules.
You want to make the rules you fight the war.
