No offense ladies. This is just an observation. It seems like, at least in western society, women are starting to catch up to men as far as perversion. Aside from prostitution, or porn itself. Women are becoming a lot more "like men" as far as sex. I find more and more women are becoming receptive of their assigned role in the modern era porn-fantasy. Say for example, years ago many men toyed with the fantasy of fucking a woman in the ass and their was always a backlash against such men. Now, many young women seem to fantasize about being fucked in the ass. Years ago, men toyed with the fantasy of making a woman their personal sex slave, now many women carry on about how they fantasize of being a sex slave. Women now seem to WANT to be that girl in the porn video. Their sexual desires are every bit as male-centric, as any man's porn collection. Women want to be sluts, whores, fuck toys, slaves, etc, these are their fantasies and they are becoming more vocal about it.

Did women collectively at some point in time, decide to give in and say "if you can't beat them, just join them"?

Or have women always felt this way, but simply were sexually repressed?

In that case would you say it's true, that women's sexuality (or many women's sexuality) is in fact defined by male desire? (i.e, a woman's sexual desire is simply a function of fulfilling a male's sexual request).

I have heard in the past, porn critics saying that this idea is fabricated by porn, but I'm starting to think that at least a certain percentage of women are naturally pleasers, who don't care much about physical pleasure as they do just pleasing and performing for a man.

A "certain percentage" of women can be ANYTHING, when you're considering the group as a whole. You posed a question "in general" that has no meaningful answer. Of COURSE some women are "pleasers" ... and some are "takers"... and some are "pleasers" one day and "takers" the next. The only answers you can get here are from individual perspectives based on individual experiences. DUH!

It seems to me quite obvious that the changes in how women's sexuality is perceived, BY MEN, is merely a side-effect of women no longer being subjugated by men - at least, not legally any more, and in practice not as much as they used to be. Women, like men, are capable of enjoying sex for nothing more than the physical pleasure it brings ... so why the hell shouldn't they?

Well, for many years the reason they should not is because women are property, not people, and if they are used by anyone other than their rightful owner they become soiled goods. Now that we no longer consider women to be property*, that argument makes no sense whatsoever.

In practice, many societal habits based on that presumption are so deeply ingrained that a mere century hasn't been enough time to eliminate them; even I can't get out of them without conscious effort. Hell, even most WOMEN cannot get out of them without conscious effort.

 

It also doesn't seem to occur to him that a certain amount of men are, also, natural pleasers. I would love to know where you got your data. Believe it or not, a few years ago we got the right to vote, hold a job, run for political office, live alone if we wish, become a member at a private golf course and play any day we wish, drink, smoke and watch porn.
