  3. Hello,

You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

The pictures that you will send me for verification won't be public

    Best regards,

Whenever I read about some bitch reading that book, then claiming they want someone like Mr.Grey, I crack my shit up!
MAYBE 1% of the women in the world would put up with a "Mr.Grey", and MAYBE half of 1% of the men in the world could be like "Mr.Grey" in every way.

Try reading the book. It's a quick read. And then talk to your wife about what she likes about it. This could be a good way to ramp up your sex life. You never know.

Give it a read. Try not to bash your skull in as you stumble over the terribly written drivel. Be sure the guns are locked up so you don't blow your brains out the thousandth time you have to read the word "mercurial" or hear about his copper hair.

It's a terrible book that women read and THINK they want to live a BDSM lifestyle. But Grey isn't a realistic Dom. And the relationship portrayed is laughable.

But if it gets your wife wet and gets you laid, who cares right?

I would point her to the stories section here. WAY better stuff, much better written. And by people who actually live the lifestyle.

As entry level BDSM the book has performed a useful function.

Guesswork but let's say that 10% of women have read the book. And 10% of those readers have put their turned on pussies to good submissive use.

    What are the consequences?

First, a lot more honesty about sex.
    Second, a lot more sex.
Third, a lot more great sex.

    What's not to like?

I haven't read the book since I value my brain cells, but keep in mind the book started off as a Twilight fanfiction. If it opened her up sexually, great, but you might want to take yourselves to someplace a bit more reputable if you're looking to delve into BDSM and the like.

Definitely don't take it as any more than a fantasy about BDSM by someone who's never been in the lifestyle and whose research consisted of a few hours on a BDSM website one day.

As a means of making people curious and serving as a launching pad into exploring the real BDSM scene, I think it's done a good service. But when people take it as a manual for BDSM, oh my God, is it horrible. Completely unrealistic.

It is a popular book because women can act out their fantasies through the pages of the book. However it gives BDSM a bad name as it is a poor representation

I saw online were a company from Britain called lovehoney, which is the biggest seller of sexual toys in the uk, got the right to market and sell a line of sex toys with the 50 shades name. Supposedly they are selling really well.but neither my wife or girlfriend have read the book so I cant comment on it.

I don't think many women read the book looking at it as steps to the bdsm world....or as you quoted a manual. I think it just forces most women to kind of step out of their comfort zone a little bit. As I would guess 99% of the women that read it has not even dabbled into the bdsm scene watsoever. And hopefully the book opened the door to explore the possibility to it if only in their mind for starters.

I'm guessing the percentages are pretty much the same as you, but that tiny percentage that does think it's a manual keeps showing up on the BDSM website I frequent thinking they know everything and wondering why they can't have the relationship of their dreams without working at it or paying attention to safety and consent.

Well they are uneducated and have alot to learn. I can't pretend to know everything about the BDSM lifestyle. I do know the book was a hot read but no where near...touching the BDSM lifestyle. I've tried to dabble a bit in it with my husband. But I do research it alot and it intrigues me.

It may be poorly written simplistic drivel, but it works better than tequila at getting the average American housewife all worked up.

50 Shades, in my opinion, is drivel. It's someone's attempt to write a more modern version of The Story of 'O' but wasn't able to keep the feel of of the situation. And the other two books were rushed so that ruined them as well.

I don't know if she did any research into the BDSM lifestyle, but I wouldn't doubt it if she had not.

I know a good sized group of people who are into BDSM and they all said the same thing...She just doesn't get it. She had missed the whole point of BDSM. Etc.

Boiling all my rants down into a signle sentence....

It is badly written mommy porn which isn't even worth me using to wipe my arse.

I say, if she's getting aggressive, read the book and find out why she's liking it so much, then, read The Story of 'O' and become her Mr Grey. Get in touch with people in the BDSM community in your area and learn what you can. Take her with you and explore it for real. But remember, once you open that door, it can never be shut again because it will reveal to you that which you hide from even yourself.

I took a few tentative steps a few years ago. I have been changed because I saw things in myself I didn't know were there. I want to experiance more, but I know that my wife isn't ready for her own exploration.

For now, I patiently wait for the day when she will say she wants to take that first step.

Whenever I read about some dumbshit talking about that book basically admitting to reading it, I cannot say whether or not he is like the "1% Mr.Grey." What I can say is however it very likely means he hasn't even the slightest inkling about D/s, M/s, BDSM, etc. in that if he is reading about it, he's not doing it.
