So if you've read a few of my previous posts you'll know I hooked up with a coworker I hated at the time. We've been fucking ever since. And great sex was all it was. But after I went to this family thing with her (her family) and I sort of put her in her place, called her on her shit, what have you, she's been behaving differently, around me at least.

She's actually been polite when she didn't have to. The sex is still great.

The problem is I'm not sure if this is just some act or if she's actually trying to change. Why would she go with this sort of deception? If I had to guess it'd be to lure me into a situation where she could sucker punch me, figuratively of course. On the other hand she's been the one pursuing me, initiating our encounters, etc.

 

Maybe you gave her a reason to soften and let her guard down to be who she really is?

 

That's a great point.

There is always the chance that the rude, pushy persona, was her armor against getting hurt. She may truly care about you, and is now willing to put herself out there for you.

That would make it your turn. Give it a chance, or push her away? Both have risks.

No, generally people don't change, at least not the way you seem to be wondering/asking. Leopards don't change their spots. People can and do change. They rarely do it when pushed however. They have to want it for themselves.
