I have my thoughts on that. A sacraficial sock account is given free reign. A series of threads are created, activity is generated. For moderation to be seen to be done the account is banned. It's a cyclic thing. Just like the other monotonous political crap that is generated on a regular basis. Throw in a few "I want my account deleted" threads, "this site sucks" threads and you have the makings of a GD front page.
