I think Joe is right. The Forum was much better when trolls and spammers took over every thread and flooded it with distracting nonsense and abuse.

Also, it was more fun when members could be stalked and harassed by the angry and mentality unstable.

My point has to do with the fact that there's really no 100% sure way of proving that a poster is really a girl. OTOH it's most likely that a poster is a dude. Especially when said poster has always said that he was.

I could get lots of comments in a thread if I just pretended to be a chick. Just like in 99.99% of the threads posted here by chicks who are really dudes. The fact that I don't do that---even though I'd like to have some fucking responses every now and then---is prima facie proof that I am really what I've always claimed to be.
