Hey guys, so where do you take a girl on a first date? I guess a dinner and a movie is always a safe bet. Any other options?

It is convention for a guy to decide where to take the girl if he is the one asking her out. But girls, is it okay if a guy asks you for suggestions?

Of course it is okay to ask her opinion as you have a better chance of her saying yes if it is somewhere she wants to go or something she wants to do. Also good way to get to know someones character fast is working with them so find a project in the house or yard. I just love it when a man does stuff for me around the house and it seems to come so effortlessly to him yet a job I would struggle with, that is not only a huge turn on but just good gentlemanly like actions which leave an impression.

 

Where you should take a girl on a first date, to some extent, depends on if she is somebody you have known for an extended period of time, or if you just recently met her. If you have known her for a while, use your knowledge of her interests to your advantage. If she is a big fan of a local sport team, maybe take her to a game(if it is reasonably priced). If she enjoys doing something more active, maybe miniature golf or a hike and a picnic.

Of course, if this is somebody you just met, make the smart, safe decision and just do the dinner and movie.

 

why not just sit down in a quiet of the way place and talk?
you know get to know eachother and connect

 

I would say a quiet bar/ restaurant to chat and get to know her, not a movie as all your doing is sitting next to her feeling akward wether to grope her or not.

 

Some place where they play load music so you don't have to talk.

 

If you are attracted to a co worker, a luncheon date is a good way to start. It is not quite officially a "date" so neither of you are committing each other. That way you can see if you enjoy talking to each other, and if you have things in common. A good second date would be a dinner date after work.

You should sort of ease into the situation. Asking a woman you have hardly talked to to attend a movie, a play, or dance with you is rarely a good idea.

 

I took my wife to Washington, DC to the National Zoo. It must have worked, she became my wife.

 

If it's someone you just met I would say dinner is good no movie though. I love when guys ask what i would wsnt to do. It shows thwy are interested in my opinion. I love afternoon date's and it takes the some of the pressure off. Go bowling or ice skating so you can talk and have fun too.

 

Take her to the golf range....

 

I love to golf so that's a great first date

 

Just don't take her to the bar you hang out at........

@Amalia614 I am not a big fan of golf. But I wouldn't mind taking you out to a golf course for a date since you seem to like it so much. But I would probably suck at it and you would end up beating me. Would that be a good thing or a bad thing?

 

Zoo sounds like a fun but slightly childish idea. But you seemed to have pulled it off. Maybe I would give that a go in the future.

This is a really excellent idea. You and others will really get some useful information here. Be sure to use it wisely.

 

This is a good one if someone is looking for a fling. But if you are looking for a serious relationship, I wouldn't recommend it.

Thanks for the tip. Now that I think about it, taking a girl to the cinema seems to be a poor idea atleast as far as first dates go. But girls do like the movies, especially the chick flicks. What kind of movies do you like?
