Yeah, I hear yah. I rarely would do this in person. Though if I had a real good reason to do it, I'd do it and not look back. If she stopped me and then wanted to further the conversation, then so be it. If not, then at least I'd go out with no regrets. You know what I mean?

But I get you, and I think it's something everyone, man and woman should at least try in their life. Going up to somebody in a bar or in a club and being rejected is one thing, but completely revealing your feelings for a complete stranger can be incredible.

 

Same here, I can't help but to be. Wish is why I write. To release it, give the ladies a better understanding that I'm more then just a horny guy on a sex site who plays in the forums. lol

True it can be. I don't think it's a matter of feeling like a boss either, it's more of the feeling of knowing you can do it and not feel like a fool.

 

Yeah, but not all guys chase every woman they see. I think it's just getting to know them and wanting them to know, if they did need someone they can turn to. You can still be there for them as the good guy. If anything else were to come along in the process, it's cause you took your time to get to know them and understand their feelings. Respect them first before just chasing them like a T-Bone steak.

 

Oh I felt foolish then and I still do, but I have no regrets. And I'd do it again, WILL do it again, should the urge strike me. I just mean that it made me feel better than any drug ever could, I felt like the only human within miles who would put themselves out there for absolutely no personal gain. (I'm sure that's not true, and that there we're plenty of selfless people around, but my selfless act was to put myself on the chopping block and wait to see what would happen. There was no guarantee she was going to like it, in fact she could have thrown a coffee at me, who knows) lol

WAKE UP

Waking to a world that's fast asleep,
content with the beliefs we foolishly keep.

Sleepwalking through life filling our heads with dreams,
A world so full of shit it's bursting at the seams.

Such misguided hatred between our races,
too many people wearing artificial faces.

I was born a prisoner and knowledge set me free,
I cannot convince you,
open your eyes and you'll see.

Thanks, I was in a pretty dark place when I wrote that, so it's pretty negative. I find that most of my poetry follows a trend of negativity but I've learned to accept it as a way of getting it out of my system so I can stay positive.

 

Exactly the same way I write, to let it all out. No sense harboring it inside. I always feel better when I write.

 

Some of your posts don't give the poems titles, can you link me Euphoria and Summer Rain?

 

Sure, I'll do that. Yeah I'm thinking of making a new thread, then renaming all the individual poems I've done with the actual titles in the posts themselves.

 

Excellent line, and great poem. I hate to guess at people's meaning and I refuse to provide my own but I feel like you're trying to say that happiness or joy are always there, we just have to take notice. I like it
