To clarify from your local transgender expert. They are transgendered or transexual male to females. There is a hormone regimen to change your body shape and grown breasts, but many of US have implants. To get the SRS you have to live female for a year minimum, some require two years.

Some of the girls do not elect to have it for various reasons, as one I know said about another: She is too attached to her cock (there is a joke in there somewhere, I think).

Another misconception: WE ARE NOT GAY. We are people who have female brains and male bodies. Some of us live both ways due to work requirements or family requirements.
There are also people who have male brains and female bodies. The SRS is much more difficult and not as successful for them. They are termed FtM's. Buck Angel is a prime example. He is totally male except for having a pussy.

Sexual Orientation has nothing to do with being transgendered, we can be bi, lesbian, or hetero, or asexual. About 30% off the mtf's are lesbian, 30% are hetero, 30% are bi and 10% are asexual (not interested in sex with anyone, maybe except themselves?)

Two mtf's having sex with each other are physically having gay sex since both have male organs, (pre-ops I am talking of), but mentally emotionally it is lesbian sex. Each considers the other as a true woman.

Two ftm's having sex with each other would physically be lesbian sex but mentally and emotionally male gay sex.

And if that is not confusing enough to you who don't experience such; an mtf having sex with a genetic woman (we call them GG's, genetic girls) is having physically heterosex, but emotionally and mentally lesbian sex.

We should be addressed and referred to as the gender we are living, not as our genitals are. Many of us are quite insulted to be called SIR if we are mtf, others will laugh it off. But it is common courtesy to use the apparent gender.

One thing that I discovered and all of know, mtf's are always tall, and ftm's are always short. There is a physical reason in the amount of the hormone that stops bone growth. We are born transgendered, but many of us do not realize it until later in life. Having your epiphany in the 40's and later is not uncommon. I believe that I am the oldest one.

I have never been so happy in my life or as pleased with the way as I look since I realized by true gender.

One more thing that I learned and all of us know is that mtf's are always tall, and ftm's are always short. The reason is the hormone that stops bone growth. We are born as transgendered persons with brains of the sex opposite from our bodies, and this hormone difference is one of the signs. Of course it does not mean all tall men are tg's or that all short women are tg's. But it is true for people who were born tg's. I know some mtf's that are 6ft 4inches.

How does this happen: the brain sex is determined earlier than genital sex, and both are governed by hormones available to the fetus, when one sex's hormones are predominate during brain formation, and the opposite sex's are during genital formation, we are the result. I think rightly so, this has been called a birth defect, but sometimes a well hidden one from ourselves. Many of us do not discover we are transgendered until the 40's or later. On the other hand some children know it as soon as they can talk. I think I am the oldest to have my epiphany (realization).

We can be called trans, trannies, Tgirls, transgendered, transexual, shemales,ladyboys. I dislike the terms shemales and ladyboys at least for myself because of the porno connotation and usage.

But I take no offense to trans, tranny, or Tgirl, and use them frequently for myself.

My desire and I think that of most of us not in the porn business, is to be accepted and live my life as a normal woman. (Altho I am a lesbian one, I still like girls only.)
