My only opinion of him... well let me put a plural on it.

Since I don't watch much TV, I've merely known him as a shrewd businessman.

But occasionally he's used his money to get on a soapbox and rant, and when he's done that, I've thought of him as kind of a bully and a buffoon. For instance, when he went after Obama for the whole birth certificate thing. Eventually he had to show his hand, and he had nothing (in terms of a smoking gun), so he made himself look ridiculous.

Given the history, I don't think he's ready for prime time, and I don't know if I could vote for him... even if it came down to Trump vs. Clinton. (In that case I'd probably write in or go Libertarian.)

But I'm just calling them as I see them, here. The guy held his own last night, and all the knives were out for him. It's only going to raise his numbers. Meghan Kelly's attacks backfired bigtime.

The spotlight glare is part of what made him look ridiculous, so of course he's gonna be paying big money this fall for some coaching before he goes public again. But compare him with Rubio, Cruz, Huckabee, and all the others who had runny mascara over their orange cheekbones!

Here's a seventy-something guy who works so hard, 24-7, that he told the stage crew and makeup artists to screw.

Ben Carson's never held public office. Not even water commissioner. I just don't see how he could go the distance.

That doesn't mean I wouldn't mind having him as president. I'd definitely vote for him. But I just don't think he can go the distance. I hope I'm wrong. It's remarkable that he was up there in the top ten contenders, and he's a nobody. His only fans prior to last night were political junkies, so who knows? It's a long way to next November.
