I would say I believe the official report, every major event in history has conspiracy theory surrounding it. I always try to approach things with an open mind but not to many theories I've seen or read into a little really held water with me.

Im a common sense kind of person and thats how i appoach this, i do not call it a conspiracy theory because that is a bullshit cover everything name used when people refuse to believe anything else is possible and believe the government report is completely accurate and true.

 

Here is what happened. A bunch of Muslims didn't like America for stopping the East Timor genocide, so they decided to attack New York and Washington DC. They hijacked 4 commercial passenger flights, and piloted those planes into important symbols of America and symbols of her government while shouting allahu akbar. 3 planes hit their target, 1 plane did not, after the brave passengers fought back.

Kind of like when all the evidence has been thoughly examined, all the questions about inconsistencies answered completely and 14 years later some folks still refuse to believe the truth because they don't trust the government.

One can argue that this cost the United States victory in the War in Vietnam. The War in Vietnam, like the First World War, and the war between Iran and Iraq, was a war of attrition. In such a war it is difficult to tell who is wining until the war is nearly over. After President Nixon resigned, Congress voted to end military support to the South Vietnamese government. This is what enabled the North Vietnamese offensive of 1975 to be sucessful.

Nevertheless, The New York Times and The Washington Post increased their circulation because of what they did. Daniel Ellsberg, Bob Woodward, and Carl Bernstein became rich and famous.

The New York Times and The Washington Post are full of reporters who grew up aspiring to emulate Woodward and Bernstein.

If there was any legitimate reason to doubt the Bush administration's account of 9/11, plenty of reporters would have looked into it. If the Bush administration, Mossad, or both had conspired to cause 9/11 this would be a far greater scandal than Watergate.

I get tired of the "False Flag" attack accusations. If the government was trying to break the American people, it had the opposite effect. We all came together, albeit for a few short years, and helped one another. If the government wanted an excuse to invade the Middle East for oil, they could have used one of the many reasons they have given us since the 70's.

American Airlines Flight 11, departing from Boston, was flown into the North Tower of World Trade Center at 8:46 a.m. United Airlines Flight 175, also departing from Boston, was flown into the South Tower at 9:03. American Airlines Flight 77, departing from Washington, was flown into the Pentagon at 9:37. United Airlines Flight 93, departing from Newark, crashed near Shanksville, Pennsylvania at 10:03.

Standing orders on September 11 dictated that, upon receiving a request for assistance from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) would normally order escort aircraft to approach and follow an aircraft that was confirmed to be hijacked in order to assure positive flight following, report unusual observances, and aid search and rescue in the event of an emergency.[1] The 9/11 Commission determined that on the morning of September 11, the FAA did not adequately notify NORAD of the hijackings of Flights 11, 175, 77 or 93 in time for escort aircraft to reach the hijacked flights.[citation needed] Notification of the hijacking of Flight 11 prompted the scrambling of two fighter jets from Otis Air National Guard Base, but they were not in the air until after Flight 11 had hit the North Tower. An erroneous FAA report of a hijacked plane heading towards Washington ("phantom Flight 11") prompted the scrambling of three more fighters from the 1st Fighter Wing at Langley Air Force Base, which due to "poor communications", ended up flying eastward, out to sea, instead of heading toward Washington, significantly delaying their arrival on the scene.[2]
