Distant Lover is actually the most successful troll on this entire forum and has been for years. And there are three secrets to his success. One is he pretends to be very polite while he says some of the most offensive and down right dangerous things in the world. Two he is incredibly persistent and can turn almost any thread and/or comment to his racist and white supremacist views. And three he can be very successful at getting other people to do his fighting for him.

Which is why I normally refrain from feeding the troll.

I disagree. But then I am not looking for prestige which would be pretty scarce on a pron forum anyway. My primary goal for actually more than 35 years is to battle the lie of conservatism as it is preached and practiced in this nation.. And I get personal satisfaction out of that just like I assume you get personal satisfaction out of your poetry. With one minor difference. I would never try and belittle your poetry even though I doubt you have any tangible rewards to show for it. But I could always be wrong about that. After all somewhere out there in some box in the garage are plaques and awards I won over the years battling the lie of conservatism. But I know that an award like that and 25 cents would get me a cup of coffee. So my personal satisfaction is my own reward. And that is good enough for me.,

I bet there are at least a half dozen stories on this forum where I explain how I was a Republican until I went into the newspaper business when I was about 30. And afer I was in the newspaper business for a little while I sat down one day and read the Constitution of the United States of America cover to cover.
