I'm anonymous on all these story places. Since I started posting on the Internet in 2009, I've always let my readers judge from my writing. As of today it's running around 60/40 female. I saw him make some good/nice comments , as mentioned above , but in my opinion , totally negated them with the stupidity of other comments.

Half the country loved the inauguration speech. Half are ready to declare civil war.

Half the country voted for the man. Half did not.

Eight years ago, the antipathy was the same. After all, Barack won by the slimmest of electoral margins. But people opposed to him pretty much resigned themselves to the change and gave him a chance. There was nothing like the disarray we are seeing this weekend. I'm not that old, I grant you, so the sixties were before my time. But I don't recall anything like this. It is disconcerting and sad.

And pointless. Obama's legacy is going to be rolled back. Now matter how much his supporters wish it were not so. And there is no one to blame but Barack himself. He was a poor leader who could not compromise. Virtually all of his "accomplishments" were extra-legislative summary judgments. Not only does this mean they are not sufficiently supported, but it also means they can be nullified with remarkable ease.

So what does that make all the chaos this weekend? Hubris. Tilting at windmills. Like I said: sad.
