Sanity, calm down and look at what you wrote: Look at the first word of your first sentence. "Illegal." That is a prima facie assertion, and it is the rub.

You are talking about a 220+ year old law that has never been used to convict a single person.

The most puzzling part of this whole narrative is the way the Washington Post is trying to take credit for Flynn's ouster. The notion that it took their investigative journalism and their moral courage to force his removal.

The interesting thing about that claim is that if the Washington Post had expressed a single shred of interest in Hillary Clinton's conduct at any time over the past twelve years, she never would have gotten as far as she did, and all the snowflakes who are outraged over President Trump certainly would have had more palatable choices last November.

If it could be shown that Trump worked with the Russians to undermine Hillary's campaign, no. Not treason.

I'd say that if it did happen, he was just using resources available to him to expose truths about Hillary's conduct that she is hiding and that our media won't report.

But not treason.

Any more than it is treason that Hillary, the DNC, and the media colluded to take down a presidential candidate who had a better chance of beating Donald Trump than Hillary did. (Bernie Sanders, of course.) And that isn't wild speculation. It is fact. A bunch of people were even fired over it. But treason? Naw.

Because the new story in the WSJ this morning, exposing the fact that NSA is now actively withholding classified information from the president, if corroborated, will be tried as a treasonous offense.

And the leaking of classified information to the media by NSA and CIA in a purposeful campaign to undermine the presidency, as has been happening, is also treason and will be tried as such.

Moreover, this does all go right back to Obama. Because on his last day in office, by executive order he vastly expanded the powers of the NSA. No-- correction, not be "executive order," but by untracked "executive memorandum." (The majority of Obama's executive orders were actually not executive orders... they were "memoranda." Which is why Stumblina can report from Snope that his Messiah didn't issue more executive orders than many other modern presidents.)
