• Former CIA director John Brennan delivered a brutal assessment of President Donald Trump on Friday, capping off the most tumultuous week the administration has seen in months.
• Trump is "unstable, inept, inexperienced, and also unethical," Brennan said in an interview with MSNBC.
• Brennan said he has gone from being "angry" at Trump for his words and actions, to a state of "deep worry and concern" about what he described as a lack of leadership in the White House.
• Brennan's comments follow a week that saw an avalanche of troubling headlines about top Trump aides, the Russia investigation, high-profile White House departures, and a widely criticized policy announcement that prompted near-immediate global backlash.

 

I think it would be a better idea to respect the concerns of Trump supporters who are not rich. Immigrants depress wages. Hispanics have lower crime rates than Negroes, but higher crime rates than whites.

What the transgender rights movement is all about is allowing boys who claim to be girls take showers in gym class with real girls. I do not think they should be allowed to. Homosexuals who want to buy wedding cakes can find plenty of bakers who will bake their cakes for them. They should leave Christian conservatives alone.

Many Democratic politicians, including Hillary who I voted for, talk about letting criminals out of prison. Like Trump supporters I want to put more criminals into prison. I want them to be kept there until they are too old to be dangerous. I want them to be treated more harshly.

Affirmative action advances non Oriental minorities and women to positions where they cannot perform adequately. This reduces the effectiveness of organizations that practice affirmative action. Needless to say, it discriminates against white and Oriental men.

Beginning with the election of 1932 Democrats had majorities in both houses of Congress more often than not. A trade war is likely to hurt farmers because American agriculture is probably the most productive in the world.

I would like to eliminate the Electoral College. Nevertheless, I think a highly polarized time is a bad time to make major changes in the Constitution.

 

Ex-Trump campaign aide Sam Nunberg described White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders as “unattractive” and a “fat slob” in an interview with Spectrum News NY1 yesterday, one of the many appearances he made during his spectacular media meltdown.

After Nunberg received a subpoena from special counsel Robert Mueller on Monday, he turned to cable news for a series of bizarre no-holds-barred interviews. He dared the feds to arrest him and declared he had a sneaking suspicion that Trump “may have done something during the election,” among many other controversial and sometimes contradicting statements.

But perhaps the lowest point of his night was when he called into NY1 to bash Sanders’s physical appearance. Speaking to anchor Josh Robin, Nunberg said: “She’s a joke. Okay fine, yeah, she’s unattractive, she’s a fat slob. But that’s irrelevant. The person she works for has a 30 percent approval rating.”

He added: “So if she wants to start attacking me, she can do that. That’s fine. But we know it’s a joke. Everyone knows it’s a joke that she’s working there.”

Nashville mayor Megan Barry pleaded guilty to felony theft and resigned in disgrace Tuesday, but “NBC Nightly News” left out one key detail - the one-time rising Democratic star's party affiliation.



“In Nashville tonight, a bitter public farewell from the city's now-former mayor after an extramarital affair with her bodyguard led to a swift fall from grace. Megan Barry resigning from office hours after pleading guilty in court to theft of property, accused of taking city funds,” anchor Lester Holt said before tossing it to correspondent Kerry Sanders.

Sanders never mentioned the fact that Barry is a Democrat, but did point out that she smiled in her mug shot and was “once popular.”

Barry’s political demise came more than a month after she admitted to having an affair with Sgt. Rob Forrest, the former head of her security detail. Forrest, who was also married, resigned in January. As first reported by the Media Research Center, Barry’s party affiliation wasn’t mentioned in the “Nightly News” segment that lasted over two minutes.

Reliably liberal news outlets like NBC have a habit of leaving out the party affiliation when a Democrat is under fire, and inserting it prominently when the troubles involve a Republican.

“After going through a timeline of Barry’s affair and the things both she and Forrest spent taxpayer funds on, Sanders appeared to make an attempt at getting viewers to sympathize with her by noting the death of her son last summer,” MRC analyst Nicholas Fondacaro wrote.


The MRC pointed out that Holt mentioned the party affiliation of former Missouri Gov. Eric Greitens when he was forced to resign earlier this year, referring to him as a “GOP rising star.”

“It’s just another example of a liberal news outlet defending the Democratic Party brand from blemishes,” Fondacaro wrote.

Barry pleaded guilty March 6 to felony theft of property over $10,000. She was sentenced to three years' probation and ordered to reimburse the city.

In court, District Attorney General Glenn Funk said had the case gone to trial, witnesses would have testified that between March 2016 and February 2018 Barry caused as much as $60,000 of Metro Nashville city funds to be expended unlawfully.

Metro Nashville Police records show Forrest's overtime more than doubled in the budget year after Barry was elected in September 2015. Barry said the affair began in spring 2016, according to an affidavit.

CBS and ABC both reported that Barry is a Democrat when covering the story on their newscasts.

NBC News did not immediately respond to request for comment

I thought I was going to fall out of my chair laughing at this tonight. I always enjoy watching Rachel Maddow but tonight was just a romp down memory lane because good ol' Senator John Stennis was just one of my favorite episodes of the whole Watergate Saga. He was the guy that was supposed to listen to the Watergate tapes, compare then to the transcripts Nixon was offering instead of turning the tapes over to the special prosecutor, and certify that they were true and accurate representations of what was on the tapes.

And then as soon as you saw him of TV you would be going WTF??? is that guy even alive? He was just ancient, was barely recovering from a heart attack that had nearly killed him, and was as deaf as a post. I had never seen a bigger farce in my life. And all it did was piss Cox off worse than ever.

It was just brilliant the way Maddow trolled Trump and his legal team with Stennis and I will be watching her again on the re-run just to get another kick out of it.
