the main thing about it would be the reaction time of which they would fire,and the type of rifle there using, the fastest rifle travels at about 4500 ft per second, the fastest bullet in the world, a quick and easy example also a .38 special is about 1800 ft a second, the other question is a missile also depends on the type for it, some new missiles are looking at like mach 5, but those arent out yet, bullets would not catch those, no question, as of right now, the typical missile travels at about the maximum speed of a bullet, so i wouldnt the bullet to ever catch up to the missile, and if it did, it would be another problem of whether it would do anything to the missile, most bullets will only travel a certain amount before stopping, so it would most likely never catch it and just stop, thats the best i can do lol
