I do admit that I don't like the things that I mentioned in my OP.
However, the fact of the matter is that every single forum on the net has the same kind of things to a greater or lesser degree.

So if I'm going to be on any internet forums I'm just going to have to live with it.

You need to chill, JD. Some people are born to fit in, others like playing the outsider role. You strike me as someone who likes being a bit of an outsider. I don't say that negatively...I think I'm like that myself. I see people here getting VERY close to each other, not just hear, but "in real life". That's interesting to me, but not something I'm likely to do.

But if that's what YOU want, you probably can...you just have to be nice and friendly and open, and it'll probably happen.

This is off the subject...but you know what I think is odd? When people here start calling each other by their real names. At least, I assume that those are their real names. I can certainly understand why you might get to that point in PMs, over the phone, in person, etc...but it always jolts me when I see it on a public forum.
