    And that particular parsing is just hilarious. Colluding is not a crime. But colluding with a foreign power that harms the United States of America is conspiracy and conspiring against the US is sure as fuck a crime. A big one. And it is the collusion that proves it.

    "Collusion" does not even appear in the letter of authorization. And Trump isn't even mentioned as a target... Its those associated with Trump's campaign... Which does include Trump, himself.

    4) Flynn's false statements...

    5) Papadopoulos's false statements to the FBI...

    Gates and Manafort’s indictments have anything to do with the 2016 campaign or collusion with Russia to help Trump, and neither of the offenses to which Gates has pled guilty do either.

    Just laundering money and bank fraud.

    Muellers letter making him special counsel for this indeed gave him wide latitude to investigate all things related to the election.

    So, if he wants to dig into all things Trump, that is authorized.
    He is expected to follow the evidence wherever it leads him.
    Which means we can expect him to also remark on the DNC and Clinton behavior during the election.
