Incubus, I think this may actually be your most genuine, thought provoking post I've read. And please, be aware this is in no way a flame. I agree that there were certain circumstances that occurred and that there was a prior relationship between this young woman and these bags of shit. But, under no circumstances, does anyone have the right to violate another human being the way these two violated and tortured this woman. There is no excuse, there is no back story. No means no.

I've always hated how loosely rape has been defined (forcing a sexual act on a person without their consent). The reason being is that I've heard countless stories where half way through having sex, the girl says no when in the first place they said yes. Now it may be easy for a girl to stop at will, but guys don't think the same way as girls do. One yes mean until he's done in most cases. But the people involved pleaded guilty in this case...

In terms of what happened to this girl, maybe she was a massochist and liked the pain, it just got a little too out of hand. It does disturb me that she had a relationship with one and was friends with the other, I'm a little uneasy about that part. But, hey, they say that if you get raped, chances are it will be by someone you know.

Again, I don't really want to start anything, I'm just sayin is all...

 

That's crap, dude. This idea that guys can't stop if a girl says no is not only crap, it's insulting to men in general. We are not mindless animals who can't control ourselves. I'll admit that it sucks. I've had sex cut-off in mid-stroke before and it is not fun, but it's not so traumatizing that I have to force my partner to continue just so I can bust a nut.

Okay, I'm sorry, let me reword what I said, A guy is reluctant to stop and doesn't neccessarily want to. I just find it crap that after you say 'yes', a few moment later you say 'no'. that's all I'm really trying to say, I hate indecisive people.

 

Not to agree with your post in its entirety but I do think that it crying rape can sometimes be compared to a witch hunt.

In high school there was a guy accused of raping this girl. He got the living fuck beat out of him, almost lost an eye, and was ostracized from the bulk of the school. About a year or so later I got to talking to people who were actually at that party (many stoner types that didn’t have a big voice in the school) who all independently said basically the same thing. They were all at a house drinking and getting high, the two of them were making out and she was playing with his cock in front of everyone, she asked him to go to the other room where everyone could hear them fucking. Afterwards in a drunken stupor she went walking home. Evidently she passed out on the side of the road where she was picked up (that was the part of the story she gave that was probably true) and then had to explain to her parents what had happened.

Yeah, I agree, rape gets tossed about way to easily and the problem is that it's so hard to prove. Unless there is physical trauma, it's he said/she said. The same goes with sexual harassment. I saw a great comic a while back that had guys talking about it around the water cooler. The guy said "basically I just avoid all eye contact and always look at the floor."
