The states didn’t adopt their shitty systems in a clear effort to send a message abroad or even to their neighbouring states; bring your kids to seek a new life, and we’ll take them from you. Maybe you’ll see them again, maybe you won’t. Maybe we’ll let them die, maybe we won’t. You feeling lucky, punk?

Another difference? Presumably, if kids die in foster care as a result of criminal negligence, failure to provide the necessities of life, etc, people are charged and convicted. Sure are headlines floating around on a state level.

Then claimed he had been in foster care, when anyone familiar with the process spotted how unlikely his claim was.

The plight of foster kids is much worse than migrant kids, but you are correct that no child should be neglected or die when it is preventable.

The difference is that those foster kids are American kids and we owe them our best efforts first.

And using migrant kids as political pawns exposes the generals depravity where trump is concerned.
