Oh, not defending violence or racism. But SIR as unpleasant as you are it is difficult to think anything positive about you. And that has nothing to do with race or sex or age.

      You're just an asshole.

You just gotta love the irony that a despicable is a raging racist bigot.

We thought the homophobic lady rejecting Pete Buttigieg after she found out he was gay was just a aberration. Apparently not.

A New Jersey cop sent sexually explicit texts to an 18-year-old woman hours after he arrested her, prosecutors say

    • New Jersey prosecutors said a police officer sent sexually explicit texts to an 18-year-old woman.

    • The New Jersey cop, Damien Broschart, is facing multiple charges and might lose his job if convicted, according to state prosecutors.

    • Broschart sent the texts just hours after he arrested the woman, prosecutors say.

A New Jersey police officer is facing charges after sending explicit texts to an 18-year-old woman he had arrested, according to prosecutors.

The Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office announced Thursday that Damien Broschart, 29, is being charged with cyber harassment. Broschart is an officer with the Neptune City Police Department who has been suspended from his role without pay.

Related: Why the NYPD's actual price tag is $10 billion a year

hindering apprehension of oneself, a law that prohibits people from interfering with someone's apprehension or prosecution.

If Broschart is convicted on this charge, he could face up to five years of prison time, prosecutors say. A cyber harassment conviction could land him a year and a half in jail.

In a statement to local news outlet NJ.com, Broschart's attorney said Broschart denies all allegations.

"I will evaluate the information gathered by the state when it is provided and formulate his defense accordingly," defense attorney Richard Incremona said.

If convicted, Broschart could lose his job, the prosecutor's office said.

"Although there is a presumption of non-incarceration for first time offenders with no criminal records in New Jersey, an emphasis has been placed on seeking resolutions on such cases that ensures that police officers who engage in criminal conduct forfeit their public positions," a statement from the prosecutor's office reads.

There is an accepted corruption and feeling of being above the laws that they enforce in most police departments, officers do not go into the job wanting to be corrupted but most end up that way because it surrounds them and refusal will get them killed if they refuse. If there is not a real change in their ways and culture then they need to be torn down and replaced.

This is why real police reform is so desperately needed. We can't have police that are actually worse than the criminals they are supposed to be protecting us from.

This kind of corruption is incredibly wide spread because its next to impossible to get rid of bad cops.

The police in America can break any law they wish, bully anybody they feel like and of course murder anybody for whatever reason anytime they want, using that "scared for my life" mantra. Not all cops are bad cops but in the end every cop will power trip their way out of trouble they cause...

Actually, that's not true. I filed an Internal Affairs complaint against a cop once when he gave me a ticket for doing what a nearby traffic cop had directed me to do, and he didn't get out of it. He had to rescind my violation and answer to exactly how he made that mistake in judgement.

Everyone should be entitled to due process, @thinskin , even working class women like me. We need to continue to reform the police departments here until that becomes a reality for everyone, regardless of your asinine condescending attitude that you know it all.

A better question could be: can blacks loot and burn stores with impunity?

The obvious answer is that they frequently can.

The result of this social experiment will be in soon. Murders are up in cities throughout the United States. No, that is not because of police brutality against blacks. It is because the police are being defunded and demoralized.

The next time your house is broken into, call 911 for a social worker to come over and talk the armed home invader into becoming a good citizen.

Oh, Shooter doesn't support defunding the police.
He supports more funding for police and in fact voted for an increase in taxes earmarked for law enforcement in the last election.
      It passed.
We're getting new cops and new equipment.

I think punishment for criminals should swift, certain, severe, and cheap. I would achieve the first two goals by increasing the power of the police, reducing the rights of the accused, and facilitating the appeals process. I would achieve the last two goals with the thorough exploitation of prison labor, the frequent use of capital and corporal punishment, and by ending educational and recreational opportunities.

Castrating convicts might be a good idea too. It would make them easier for prison guards to handle. It would guarantee that in the unlikely event that they survived decades of abuse and were released, they would not be able to spread their crime genes.

Also, in the underclass having served time in a maximum security prison is a status symbol. If the brothas in the hood knew that ex convicts had been castrated, I think those ex cons would lose a lot of status.

When I clicked on that website I went to the website for the Minneapolis Star Tribune, where the story came from. Every single comment I read condemned the Minneapolis City Council, including this one:

"Police have recorded 532 gunshot victims this year as of last Thursday, more than double the same period a year ago. Carjackings have also spiked to 375 so far this year, up 331% from the same period last year. Violent crimes have topped 5,100, compared with just over 4,000 for the same period in 2019." - RIP Minneapolis

Every single Minneapolis City Council member who voted for this outrageous policy deserves to lose the next election. By the election of 2022 I am sure the crime rate in Minneapolis will have risen further.

I doubt anyone seriously believes that defunding the police and spending the money on bigger welfare checks will reduce the crime rate. Defunding the police is a nihilistic way of punishing the police for performing a dangerous and necessary job.

The Left and the Dems in general sell misery. A happy, prosperous people don't respond to their age-old 'You're a victim! You need our handouts! sleazy bullshit'
Self sufficiency does not make for Democrat voters. The gains Trump made for overall American prosperity, and specifically for blacks in the last 4 years, will soon be gone.

Their message to blacks is: "Get back on the food stamp plantation we were nice enough to give you!"

So, more crime, less police, with no-cash bail and no consequences for looting and rioting equals a win for them, but a loss for America.

"You don't ever CATCH the carrot! You keep CHASING the carrot!"
