Donald Trumps win in 2016 was a very welcome event, why? Because it stopped the freight train that was threatening to overrun the country with anti-capitalism. Severe restrictions on free enterprise were hampering the US’s industries in competing with international competition on a level playing field.

During his initial two years, he did more to regain lost business that any one before him. What made the US the economic success that it was, was the ability for business to employ innovation and to capitalize on it. No government run industry has ever grown economic strength, as well as private industry.

Now, why am I glad he lost? Two basic reasons.

First, his bombastic, belligerent, personality was undermining his successes, particularly when he insisted on tweeting ridiculous claims of his brilliance. He became an easy target for more “intelligent” foils. Someone once said: “never start and argument with someone who buys printing ink by the barrel”, it’s also true of those who control the mass media of today. Couple that with the power and speed of social media and no one could ever win an argument. So in my opinion, he will never recover from his own belligerence.

Second, the left now has a tricky path to follow, after the economic and domestic conditions that were realized under Trump, they will be more cautious in making drastic changes. If they aren’t, another “Trump” could kill them in 2024. Of course initially there will be changes, they have to satisfy the faithful. But, I believe that cooler heads will prevail, particularly in Congress and in American industry.

It’s gonna be interesting, hope I’m still around to see how it works out.

 

I fear the influence of democrats in hast to undo Trump, lacking cooler heads just wont be a good thing for long term America interests.

Under Democrat presidents there has usually been more economic growth, more job creation and more growth in the stock market, just as I pointed out. Also, recessions usually begin under Republicans and end under Democrats. There is too much of a pattern to be dismissed as coincidence.
