That morning Roxanne Xenia Thompson woke up all giddy. Knowing that it was today she would hop in the new car her father had given her, as a gift for both her eighteen birthday and her high school graduation with high honor. He promptly accepted and promised to show her some good times along the trails. Needless to say, she was overwhelmed and anticipated their first tryst to come.

This took me two tries to figure out. I feel stupid now.

In my first read, I was thinking about a pet peeve of mine... making the male character too amazing and awesome.

When I figured out what was going on, I had to laugh at myself. Of course Sean Doolittle was so awesome!

Good job talking about how much fun a S.D. can be! I have never climaxed doing it, but they sure are fun!

A few little nit picks, and some may not even be correct. When talking about height, you refer to her "five foot seven inches frame". I may be wrong, but I think in that tense, you would just use inch. (I am afraid this might be a regional thing, and I am wrong.) I would say she was five foot seven inches, or, her five foot seven inch frame.

You said that she felt herself get wetter than ever before... I think that "getting" would have been a better choice.

If English is really not your fist language, this is amazing! I would say this is better than anything I wrote when I started writing, and English is my native tongue.

This was fun, and I enjoyed it very much!

Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed it. I had a lot of fun writing it. I seem to have lost my editor/proofreader along the way, so I had to finish it on my own. But I will be forever grateful for the help he gave me. But life as it is, called him to other priorities, which I respect. We've been friends for a long time and always have remained accepted the other needs.

 

Yep! Skip Doolittle. Winter coming and the three letters clue must have made it easy to guess.

 

I had to read all the comments to know what the object was. Yet I still couldn't picture it out. Probably because I've never seen those objects in real life. But I did imagine it as a true male so that means the description was really effective.

I checked the likes on this story and out of 7, 6 are from women. Is there a message here? Do I do a better delivery when I write with a woman perspective? LOL Maybe my feminine side is stronger than I thought, poor me. LOL

 

Interesting tale. I see you list Eastern Canada as your location. I get the feeling that English isn't your first language, so perhaps you are in Quebec, which would explain that (French vs. English). Knowing how difficult I found foreign languages in school, I applaud your efforts.

A good proofreader would have made a difference. There are many instances of incorrect tense and other grammatical boo-boos. Hopefully your friend will be around for future work.

As for content, I liked the story. I didn't guess what it was, only the reveal pointed it out for me.

I think I misunderstood the directions because I thought you needed to "speak" and see things from the object's perspective, not just write a story that included an object. I thought the personification aspect was to make the object appear human. I did not write my non-entry that way.

Anyway, fun stuff! I like jet skiing and will be going sometime later this month!

 

You hit the nail on the head. I was born in Montreal and now live in a suburb, Chateauguay. About the verbs tense, most were review by my fully bilingual friend. Maybe, it's the Canadian English that makes it different from American English? Thanks for pointing it out. I'll see if I can find a good proofreader, since my French native language might interfere with a good presentation.

This is my second read and I agree it filled the brief. It was well concealed what the item was.
I like @mlc101n ( ) thought it was a motorbike, so well done for keepjng me guessing. I sussed it when you mentioned wave after wave and jumping up and down, holding on with both hands, that was what gave me the final clues.

Ok, there were a few mistakes I noted, it should have been eighteenth birthday, it should have been honours and it should be crotch, not crutch. I also agreed with the point about the inch versus inches and the getting wet / wetter phrases @Little Miss K ( ) Picked up. But these and some of the way your sentences are construced (seemingly a little stilted ) are probably to your language differences. You write so well for not being a native english speaker! I have to say a massive BRAVO for that!! .

I do like the way you used that ambiguosity of the wave after wave being from her orgasm or coming from the water. Clever! The way you did it and some of your other details fudged it not being a real guy. It had a good flow, clever explanations and some very good sexual descriptions.

Good entry that as i said covered the brief for me , I take the personification as making us think the "item" is human , giving human feelings and having realistic outlook put on it.

Thanks for pointing out those mistakes, since I already started on the sequel of Skip Doolittle. I'll correct these to make sure part 1 and 2 flow well together.
