Was reading a story today about a lady who lost her parents and husband to Covid. While reading the story, she stated that her parents were isolating and staying home and that she was bringing the groceries and whatever else they needed. She went on to say that she wore the masks and washed her hands and so on and encouraged everybody to do the same. The story went on to to the lady "speculating" that some random passerby knocked on the door without a mask and gave it to them. What a load !
By the time I was done reading the story. I became convinced the woman herself had given all three them the Covid as an asymptomatic carrier.

 

Democrat congressman ends opening prayer with ‘amen and awoman’

Rep. Emanuel Cleaver (D-Mo.) was chastised for ending his opening congressional prayer with “amen and awoman.”

Conservative critics were quick to slam the Missouri representative for assigning a gender to the word “amen,” with many saying the action is another example of “progressive ideology” being pushed on Capitol Hill.

“We ask it in the name of the monotheistic God, Brahma, and God known by many names, by many different faiths. Amen and awoman,” Cleaver stated.

Rep. Guy Reschenthaler (R-Pa.) claimed the Hebrew definition of the word “amen” is “so be it,” adding that it is not a gendered word.

Cleaver, an ordained Methodist preacher, supposedly disregarded conservative judgment. He tweeted that he was ”honored” to deliver the prayer, and asked God to bless the representatives with the courage to “defend our democracy and liberties.”

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich also chastised Cleaver and the progressives, saying “the radical madness has begun.”

The prayer followed legislation pushed by newly re-elected House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. She introduced a bill banning the use of gender specific pronouns in the House such as mother, brother and woman.

The measure is reportedly an attempt to be more inclusive, with Pelosi calling the package “future-focused.” It has faced heavy criticism from conservatives.

Calif. becomes less desirable for Big Tech and residents

It appears dozens of Big Tech companies are leaving California for other states across America.

According to a report Friday, many employees of major tech companies said remote work due to coronavirus restrictions led them to leave San Francisco for places where they say “life is easier.”

One big factor in the move was the continued rise of taxes in the Golden State, which makes states without income tax more desirable. California has one of the highest income tax levels in the nation.

“California’s top marginal income tax rate is now 13.3 percent, which is already one of the highest in the nation,” political commentator Ben Shapiro said. “The legislator is actively discussing raising it to 16.8, which on top of federal taxation means that if you’re in the top tax bracket you’re paying 54 percent of your income to the federal and state government.”

In the meantime, the number one place for these tech workers to move turned out to be Austin, Texas followed by Seattle, New York and Chicago. Austin has a healthy tech industry with tech company ‘Dell’ based nearby.

Companies like Twitter and Facebook have reportedly tried to sublet some of their San Francisco office space as office vacancy rates in the area have spiked more than 16 percent, which is the highest in a decade.

However, it isn’t only tech companies moving away. Ordinary California families are also finding new lives in other states.

Sahin Boydas, a former San Francisco resident and founder of a remote start-up, said he understands how the top one percent can be happy in California, but not so much for everyone else. The price of living is just one factor, as Boydas noted that selling his former three-bedroom apartment in the Bay Area got his family a five-bedroom house on an acre of land in Texas.

Additionally, a new population estimate from a December report shows more than 130,000 people left California than those who moved there. This marks the third-largest net migration loss ever recorded.

 

Police surround Calif. Gov. Newsom’s mansion

Riot police in California are protecting the mansion of Gov. Newsom (D-Calif.) amid threats of violent protests.

According to reports on Saturday, dozens of officers with riot gear were positioned outside the gate of Newsom’s Fair Oaks, California mansion.

Last week, Newsom deployed hundreds of National Guard troops and police officers to patrol areas around the Statehouse and Capitol Mall. This came ahead of expected unrest, which authorities predict could happen Sunday and Wednesday.

“We’re going to have enough California National Guard, Highway Patrol and local law enforcement assets,” Cal OES Law Enforcement Branch Chief Mark Pazin said. “To ensure the safety of the community.”

Some businesses in the area are standing strong by choosing to stay open despite warnings. They said they will try to deal with it the best they can.


So far, there have been no threats of protests outside the governor’s mansion.

Goya Foods CEO speaks out against left attacks

The president and CEO of Goya Foods spoke out against the left’s oppression of the American way of life. On Friday, Robert Unanue accused the political left of weaponizing COVID-19 to take away religion and liberty from the American people.

He argued the left is responsible for shutting down the economy and therefore the American spirit. Unanue also accused Big Tech of trying to cancel American speech and control Americans.


The CEO himself was targeted by the left and cancel culture over the summer after he came out in support of President Trump.


“We are all truly blessed at the same time to have a leader like President Trump who is a builder. That’s what my grandfather did, he came to this country to grow and prosper,” Unanue said. “So we have an incredible builder.”

Calif. wine country business coalition sues Gov. Gavin Newsom

A group of wineries and restaurants launch a lawsuit against California Governor Gavin Newsom (D).

The ‘Wine Country Coalition for Safe Reopening‘ filed the lawsuit Tuesday. It alleges Newsom did not provide scientific evidence to show outdoor dining is more dangerous to public health than other permitted activities.

The lawsuit demands the governor open outdoor dining or prove that it is unsafe. According to business owners, the state made a false claim that their decisions are based on science.
