Recently I replied to a poll topic about forced sex fantasies and mentioned a little fantasy I sometimes have about my wrists being tied to a bed and me being “used” as part of a love game. It seemed fairly innocuous to me until someone wrote and said: “Julia, you’re a dirty dirty girl!” That didn’t bother me at all (people have been saying that about me since I was at school), but it started me thinking:

When does sex become “dirty” – and is it so bad if it sometimes does?

 

The only way sex is 'dirty' is if you don't enjoy it or it'a being forced on you. I think 'naughty' might be a better way to describe your fantasy.
It better describes the fact that what you want to do is a little outside the norm. But as long as you got pleasure from it, don't let a little 'dirty' sex bother you.

In the sense that you mean it, I would define "dirty sex" as wanton, promiscuous, lewd, lascivious, obscene...in short, generally devoid of love, beauty, romance, tenderness...

Defined this way, dirty sex can be a wonderful, positive thing, stripped of it's deeper meaning, free of society's constraints and judgements, just fucking for it's own sake.

i think it becomes dirty when it gets to the point where a person just wants another person so bad that they just fuck their brains out so i would say it becomes dirty when it progesses from love-making to full out fucking

Forced sex fantasy is common with women. Traditionall sex roles have told us that we should enjoy 'being taken', and many of us do. There is nothing wrong with that.

The thing to remember is that the difference between a forced or even rape fantasy is that the fantasy usually relates to hidden desires of wanting to surrender, while rape is about pure violence!

Rapist typically have no desire on getting the women off, and only secondary desire on getting themselves off. Their primary goal is that of terror, violence, control, and fear.

 

IMHO, whether sex is dirty or not is a matter of opinion and (ahem) taste.

For instance, I'm not into scat, but I can take a bit of anal action. The dividing line can be very thin.

If you enjoy it (whatever IT is), and so does your partner, what's the problem?

"Dirty" sex

I think sex is dirty when you can't visualize it as enjoyable, for both of you. I learned, about 12 years ago, that I was limiting myself because I could not accept that a woamn wanted and needed pain as part of her enjoyment of sex.

I understand that now, but have never really met someone to whom it would apply. I would be very afraid, in that circumstance, that I would do something which would go too far.

For me, sex without an awareness of the initial parameters, is dirty because one person is using another. (Having said that, if the initial rules change in the course of events, that is amazing and beautiful.)
