I just replied to KrisnChad saying yeah, probably right that they bought Comey off. They need a scapegoat for Orlando, and now he's off the hook. Good deal.

But that idea presupposes that Comey was on the level until they could buy him off with the Orlando thing.

I guess because that's what I've been reading in the Wall St. Journal, ever since Obama appointed him. Straight-laced Roger Ramjet Eagle Scout type, a stand-up man of the law in the mold of Eliot Ness, etc, etc.

But maybe in fact he's just like Jarrett and Lynch and Axelrod and all the apparatchiks of the Chicago Machine who got Obama into power in the first place. Maybe the myth of Comey as a stand up guy has been pure Axelrod bullshit from the very beginning. Maybe Comey is as dirty as the rest of them.

The possibility of that-- no, I suppose the likelihood of it-- is very disheartening.

At this point all I can say is that I like Trump's "campaign strategy," if you can call it that. Tell voters he's out there, but don't spend a cent or lift a finger. Hillary Clinton in June: 20,000 ad hours nationally, hundreds of millions spent. Trump in June: ZERO (as in 0) ad hours nationally, ZERO (as in 0) spent on ads. It is fitting. Voters can either take him or leave him. They can vote to restore the country, or they can vote to let Hillary complete our transformation to Venezuela.

If people want to live in a third world banana republic, fine. Let her have it. Screw it.

Hillary clearly broke some laws with her direct negligence, yet, you're happy to be praising her about her new found ''above the law'' status.

As far as emails, I don't remember this kind of outrage over Bush's email scandal. He and his top advisors lost MILLIONS of emails, recovering 22,000,000 of them two years later.

 

I dont think that this is about 'lost e-mails', I think it's more about the 'Clinton above the law', and the FBI director ignoring the rule of law.

Along with the direct dereliction of duty, that placed this country's national security in jeopardy.

And of course, it's all Bush's fault.
