Axios Jonathan Swan reported in February that Boehner’s recording of the audiobook version of his new memoir — On the House: A Washington Memoir — included his unvarnished thoughts about fellow Republicans. Swan followed up on Friday with an audio snippet ending with, “and Ted Cruz? Go fuck yourself.”

The leak is likely the most non-traditional element of a promotional campaign designed to bring attention to the former House Speaker’s new memoir. Earlier on Friday, Politico published an excerpted essay from Boehner’s books that included very piqued condemnations of Fox News conspiracy “nuts” like Sean Hannity as well as harsh criticism for current GOP congressional leadership.

Ted Cruz hit with multiple complaints for ‘illegally’ using campaign funds to shill his book

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) is facing ethical and legal investigations over his controversial decision to use campaign funds to hype his new book.

On Tuesday, the Campaign Legal Center (CLC) filed two complaints over Cruz personally profiting from the scheme.

"Cruz receives royalties on book sales, so using campaign funds to promote the book violates the ban on using campaign money for personal gain," the good government group explained.

Cruz received a $400,000 advance and receives 15% royalties on hardcover sales. His campaign, Ted Cruz for Senate, spent $18,000 on Facebook ads promoting book sales.

"Because Cruz receives royalties from book sales, his campaign crossed a legal line by spending donor funds on Facebook ads promoting sales of that book," CLC's Brendan Fischer explained.

And the full extent of the scheme is not yet known.

"We don't know how extensive these violations might be because any similar ads that Cruz may have run on platforms other than Facebook or Google are not publicly available," Fischer explained.

One of the complaints was filed with the Federal Election Commission (FEC). The other complaint was filed with the Senate Ethics Committee.

This could be the shortest opinion piece in history, since that single word pretty much accurately sums up the topic of systemic racism and white supremacy in America today. There really is not much more that needs to be said with regards to that false narrative that is being proclaimed all across the country by the party of the ‘woke’, the Socialist-Democrat Party, and their supporters in the news media.

Yes the history of slavery and racial prejudice did indeed exist and certainly is a stain on America’s heritage. But for most Americans the subject of racial division in our nation had become a thing of the distant past. For a few decades now Americans for the most part had rid themselves of racial prejudices. They no longer paid any attention to the color of one’s skin n their daily life. Dr. King’s hopes for a color blind society had finally arrived for most Americans.

Washington D.C. student Noah Mitchell ambushed Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) and Rep. Madison Cawthorn (R-NC) at the Capitol, asking if they enjoyed their most controversial trips.

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) joined with Sens. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) and Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) on Thursday to sound the alarm about something that likely won't happen: increasing the size of the Supreme Court.

After Republicans stole a Supreme Court seat from former President Barack Obama after Antonin Scalia died, Democrats are demanding retribution by adding seats to the court to reestablish a balance in the court. It's something that President Joe Biden said that he would think about, but it isn't likely to happen, because it would require passage from a divided Senate.

Still, Republicans held a press conference sounding the alarm about the proposed bill. The ironic moment came when Cruz proclaimed that when the GOP was in power they didn't pack the courts. It was a claim that drew outright laughter from anyone who experienced the years of court-packing under former President Donald Trump.

As KFile's Andrew Kaczynski fact-checked, the Texas senator said in 2016 that Republicans "wouldn't or might not confirm Clinton nominees for SCOTUS because, 'there is long historical precedent for a Supreme Court with fewer justices.'"
