Think about this: as Derek Chauvin and his fellow officers ended George Floyd’s life over the course of 9+ minutes, Chauvin’s sunglasses remained perched atop his head, undisturbed. This killing was calculated, cruel, callous and even . . . casual.

Jurors in Derek Chauvin case touched their necks as doctor explained how George Floyd suffocated

Dr. Martin J. Tobin (photo: screen capture)

Award-winning pulmonology expert Dr. Martin J. Tobin testified in the Derek Chauvin trial Thursday, walking jurors through the physical impact of what the former office did to George Floyd.

According to the pool report from reporters inside the courtroom, jurors followed the doctor's instructions, feeling their necks and the back of their heads to understand what he was describing.

"Mr. Floyd died from a low level of oxygen. And this caused damage to his brain that we see, and it also caused [an arrhythmia] that caused his heart to stop," Dr. Tobin explained.

He further explained that compressing the hypopharynx (the bottom part of the throat) made breathing extremely difficult, like the only air he could get was through a straw. He was putting the majority of his body weight on the knee that was on Floyd. With an officer's knee on his back, Floyd was being squished between the street below him and the knee at the back of his lungs.

Chauvin wouldn't look at the images as Dr. Tobin walked through the specifics of what happened and how Floyd died.

Shocking body cam footage shows Black suspect say 'I can't breathe' as officer shoves snow into his mouth

Body cam footage was released this Thursday showing an Ohio police officer shoving snow into the face of a Black man who was being detained. At one point during the ordeal, the man tells the officers that he can't breathe.

John Turnure, who worked for the Akron Police Department since 2009, voluntarily resigned on March 31 while an investigation into the incident was underway, Cleveland.com reports.

Acting Chief Mike Caprez said at a news conference Thursday that shoving snow in a suspect's face is "not taught or trained by our staff."

"Mr. Hicks displayed behavior that would lead a reasonable officer to believe he was in an altered state of mind," Caprez said. "The Akron police officers in this situation had a duty to protect the victim of this domestic violence incident and were carrying out that duty when this incident occurred."

Caprez said that the suspect, 26-year-old Charles Hicks, has "significant musculature" and because of his "level of fitness" and his resistance to arrest, multiple officers had to pin him to the ground. While he was being held to the ground, Turnure could be seen grabbing a handful of snow and shoving it into the face and mouth of Hicks while restraining his head. Hicks is heard in the video saying, "I can't breathe," before officers flip him over.

Hicks and his lawyer are considering legal action against the city and allege that Turnure put his knee on Hicks' neck – an allegation the city "strongly refutes."

"The officer's shin is the part of the leg most likely in contact with Mr. Hicks' pectoral and deltoid area," Caprez said. "As mentioned earlier, pinning the shoulder in this manner using body weight is a trained and approved tactic which facilitates control of the subject without potential for injury. Evidence of a knee on Mr. Hicks' neck is not apparent."

Actually what is wore out is American patience with cops killing unarmed black people by choking the life out of them

And conservative/Republicans are the party of racism and treason. Which they prove every day including here.

How many blacks have been chocked to death by police this year?

The thing is if Floyd was not committing several crimes the police would have never been called.
If Floyd would not have resisted arrest he would not have been on the ground.
If Floyd would not have used so much drugs and lived a druggie life his heart would have not stopped.

Chauvin was a large man, nearly 145lbs. Floyd was a much larger man.
If Floyd was not so fucked up and in such bad health he would still be here.
I would hate to admit that such a little police could hold me down.

I suppose if the police had never been there at all, Floyd would have died anyway. Apparently he would have walked outside of that store and fell over dead.

The crime Floyd is accused of committing should have resulted in a ticket and a fine. And if he had been white that's would it would have been. But because he was black the police threatened deadly force with their guns drawn at first contact. That is all to0 often the case between police and Blacks.

No matter what Floyd did, no matter how much he resisted, once he was subdued Chauvin should have put him in the car. To continue kneeling on his neck was criminal and Chauvin will get whats coming to him.

Most legal experts point out there was no reason to arrest Floyd. The should have just written him a ticket. But since they did arrest him legal experts point out even though he resisted getting in the patrol vehicle once they had him in the back all they had to do was shut the door and drive to the jail. There was no reason to take Floyd back out of the vehicle except they were going to punish and in fact kill him.

The police expert stumbler is incorrect.
Once someone is arrested putting them in the car isn't always the end of it.

They had no reason to stop him in the first place other than he was driving while Black. But at least they didn't shoot him or choke him to death.

Virginia Police Held a Black Lieutenant at Gunpoint and Pepper Sprayed Him Over a Traffic Stop, Bodycam Shows

Police in Windsor, Virginia, pulled their guns on a Black and Latino man immediately after pulling him over at a gas station for a traffic stop, according to body camera footage of the December 2020 incident. Second Lieutenant Caron Nazario, a member of the U.S. Army Medical Corps, was still wearing his full uniform en route home from work in his Chevy Tahoe when he asked, “I’m serving this country, and this is how I’m treated?” The officers later pepper-sprayed him, kneed him in the legs, handcuffed him, and threatened to bring charges against him if he complained about their conduct, according to the footage and Nazario’s lawsuit. He has sued the officers, accusing them of racially profiling him. They say they pulled him over because he was driving without a license plate, though he had temporary plates taped to his window. They said they used force because he would not exit the vehicle. When Nazario said he was afraid to exit the vehicle, an officer responded, “Yeah, you should be,” according to video Nazario took of the encounter.

Lawsuit: Virginia police officers threatened man during stop
    TOM FOREMAN Jr.
    Fri, April 9, 2021, 3:28 PM

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (AP) — A second lieutenant in the U.S. Army is suing two Virginia police officers over a traffic stop last December during which the officers drew their guns, pointed them at him and used a slang term to suggest he was facing execution before pepper-spraying him and knocking him to the ground.

Body camera footage shows Caron Nazario, who is Black and Latino, was dressed in uniform with his hands held in the air outside the driver's side window as he told the armed officers, "I'm honestly afraid to get out.”

“Yeah, you should be!” one of the officers responded during the stop at a gas station.

In a lawsuit filed earlier this month, Nazario says his constitutional rights were violated during the traffic stop in the town of Windsor. The two sides in the case dispute what happened after a second police officer joined the first one in the stop. At the time, Nazario was coming from his duty station and going home, attorney Jonathan Arthur told The Associated Press on Friday.

“Graduated from Virginia State University. He was commissioned out of their ROTC program. He's an officer in the United States armed forces,” Arthur said. “These guys decide to do this to him.”

Asked about Nazario's condition after the incident, Arthur said, “He's definitely not doing too well.”

Windsor Police Officer Daniel Crocker radioed he was attempting to stop a vehicle with no rear license plate and tinted windows. He said the driver was “eluding police” and he considered it a “high-risk traffic stop,” according to a report he submitted afterward and which was included in the court filing.

Arthur said Nazario explained at the time that he wasn't trying to elude the officer, but was trying to stop in a well-lit area “for officer safety and out of respect for the officers.”

Another officer, Joe Gutierrez, was driving by when he heard Crocker’s call, saw him attempting to stop the SUV and decided to join the traffic stop. Gutierrez acknowledged that Nazario's decision to drive to a lighted area happens to him “a lot, and 80% of the time, it's a minority,” Arthur said, quoting the officer.

The lawsuit says by the time the two officers reached Nazario's SUV, the license plate was visible in the rear.

Nazario drove his SUV to a well-lit gas station where, according to the lawsuit, the two officers got out and immediately drew their guns and pointed them at Nazario after they got out of their cars. The officers then attempted to pull Nazario out of the vehicle while he continued to keep his hands in the air. Gutierrez then stepped back and pepper-sprayed Nazario multiple times as officers yelled for him to get out of the car.

“I don't even want to reach for my seatbelt, can you please? ... My hands are out, can you please — look, this is really messed up,” Nazario stammered upon being pepper-sprayed, his eyes clenched shut.

The officers shouted conflicting orders at Nazario, telling him to put his hands out the window while also telling him to open the door and get out, the lawsuit says. At one point, Gutierrez told Nazario he was “fixin’ to ride the lightning,” a reference to the electric chair which was also a line from the movie “The Green Mile,” a film about a Black man facing execution.

Nazario got out of the vehicle and again asked for a supervisor. Gutierrez responded with “knee-strikes” to his legs, knocking him to the ground, the lawsuit says. The two officers struck him multiple times, then handcuffed and interrogated him.

The traffic stop was captured on Nazario's cellphone video, and the body-worn cameras worn by Crocker and Gutierrez, according to the lawsuit.

“These cameras captured footage of behavior consistent with a disgusting nationwide trend of law enforcement officers, who, believing they can operate with complete impunity, engage in unprofessional, discourteous, racially biased, dangerous and sometimes deadly abuses of authority ...” the lawsuit says.

The AP reached out to Windsor police for comment, but an email was not returned and their voice mailbox was full. No one answered the phone at a number listed for Crocker on Friday.

Crocker and Gutierrez still work for the department, the town manager told The Virginian-Pilot of Norfolk. Windsor is about 70 miles (112 kilometers) southeast of Richmond.

This lawyer for Nazario needs to hygiene...I'm damn sure I wouldn't want the likes of him representing me..the lawyer couldn't make a rational argument for Nazario..other than using the race card.

I'm confident that Nazario didn't follow the commands of the officers...so this is what the results are...race card.

I've personally seen exactly what you're referring too hereHarleyFan3343 , I seen it as far back as 2008....it will get much worse before it gets better.

Systematic racism does not exist in this Country, what does exist is racism, racism from the blacks, and all races for that matter, and it will likely get worse due to exactly what you're referring too.

The Racial division has been on the rise since '08....Trump was attempting to slow that rise down...however the black racist wouldn't have it.

The Black Community has been indoctrinated, and have profited of off racism and will continue to do it until the black community educates itself about the Race war in the U.S.

Watch the video because he was trying to do what they said but there were 2 officers giving different commands at the same time, they could see his hands and he told them that he did not feel safe removing his seat belt and asked the to do so which was when they pepper sprayed him, he was not resisting in any when he took a baton to the side of his knee. But you losers keep defending their actions, one of the police officers involved said that the other was wrong in his actions all over a paper plate. Yes kids that is why he was topped, the paper plate was taped inside of a window on a vehicle he had just bought that was obscured because of window tint and he was assaulted by police officers. It does not mater if was white or whatever, he was serving soldier that was assaulted but a pussy piece of shit with a badge that should be in prison for his crimes. But keep defending those that do wrong because I will stand with the ones that do right.

Two sheriff deputies shot in Utah (yahoo.com)
Two sheriff deputies shot in Utah
Both deputies were shot in the face while on patrol outside the jail complex, Rivera said.
The suspected gunman, whose identity was not immediately known, was killed during the gunfire exchange.
Both deputies were taken to the hospital. One was to be released with a bullet graze to his face, and according to Rivera, the other remains in critical yet stable condition with a gunshot wound to the eye.
The motive behind the shooting was not yet clear.

ROSIE RIVERA: I just left the hospital with our two deputies. One deputy is going to be released soon in stable condition. He was shot in the face.

And our other deputy is going to remain in the hospital in critical condition, but stable. He was shot in the eye. Right now, we just ask for our community to pray for our deputies and all of our Sheriff's Office family. This is a tough time.

We do know that our deputies were doing proactive patrol this morning. They encountered an individual, just on the grassy island north of the parking lot of the Sheriff's Office building. We were not quite sure what happened with the encounter, but we do know that shots were fired. And the individual that was involved is deceased. He's approximately 30 years old.

And yet the GOP bitches still defend their actions. They called it in as a felony stop for a minor traffic violation because hey could not see his paper plate that was put in place by a dealership. Pepper sprayed, dragged out of the car, and assaulted and some how he was in the wrong?

National Guard Deployed as Protests Rage After Minnesota Cop’s Killing of Black Man

A Minnesota cop shot and killed a Black man during a traffic stop Sunday, sparking overnight clashes between protesters and police in a suburb not far from where ex-officer Derek Chauvin is on trial for killing George Floyd. The Minneapolis Star-Tribune reports that Brooklyn Center cops pulled over Daunte Wright for a violation, discovered he had a warrant, and tried to arrest him. Police say Wright, 20, got back into his car, and an officer shot him. Soon, scores of protesters gathered at the scene, where officers fired non-lethal rounds after police car windshields were broken. Later, more than 500 people faced off against officers in riot gear outside police headquarters, the Star-Tribune reported. The Minnesota National Guard was reportedly deployed in the early hours of Monday morning to face down the protesters, and Brooklyn Center Mayor Mike Elliott ordered a citywide curfew through 6 a.m. In an early morning video statement, the mayor said: “We are going to make sure that everything is done in our power to ensure that justice is done.”
