Pelosi Says House Will Wear Masks Until Holdout Republicans Take Their Damn Shots
    WASTING TIME

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention made the big announcement Thursday that fully vaccinated people can head indoors without wearing masks. However, nothing will change in the House of Representatives until holdout members stop being babies and take their damn shots. The House speaker was asked by CNN on Thursday if she would change the rules after the CDC announcement. She responded: “No... Are they all vaccinated?” Pelosi’s spokesman, Drew Hammill, explained the decision to Bloomberg News, saying that it’s not clear how many members have taken their coronavirus vaccine shots.

All lawmakers were offered vaccines way back in December, but, as of last month, about 25 percent of House members hadn’t taken one. A CNN report out today about a survey of the House said all Democratic members said they were vaccinated, while just 45 percent of Republican reps said they took the shots. Last month, Pelosi complained about vaccine reluctance among the GOP, saying: “The Republicans come up to me and say, ‘Let’s shorten the time for votes...’ I said, ‘Well, tell your friends to get vaccinated...’ That would help—that would help a lot.”

Democrats claim spending bill is ‘bipartisan’, leave GOP out of presser

    OAN Newsroom
    UPDATED 7:49 AM PT – Thursday, May 13, 2021

Democrats are pushing their latest spending plan while claiming it’s a “bipartisan effort” despite the lack of Republican support. This came after a group of lawmakers and officials from the local to federal level gathered together to discuss the current infrastructure proposal.

The conference followed a meeting earlier Wednesday between Joe Biden and the congressional “Big Four,” which included Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), House GOP leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) along with Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y) and Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.).

Joining Pelosi at the post-game press conference was Rep. Peter Defazio (D-Ore.) and Mayors Eric Garcetti of Los Angeles, Levar Stoney of Richmond, Virginia and Quinton Lucas of Kansas City. None of those lawmakers are Republicans, but that didn’t seem to matter.

Pelosi asserted the bill would “absolutely” make it to the House floor by the Fourth of July break. Though her assurances are not indicative of a bipartisan effort as the majority party and specifically the Speaker of the House determines which bills and when make it to debate.

Legislative procedure aside, Pelosi may be celebrating a bit too early with both Garcetti and McConnell telling reporters that there was more work to be done, including agreeing on a definition of the word “infrastructure.”

***making this speech without a mask speaks volumes...everyone knows that wearing a mask reduces the oxygen intake, even this mostly incoherent, double-talk speech wasn't saved while not wearing that infamous mask...

Sen. Mitch McConnell urges Republicans to vote against Jan. 6 commission

    OAN Newsroom
    UPDATED 3:43 PM PT – Thursday, May 27, 2021

Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) is urging Republicans to vote against the creation of a Jan. 6 commission. Speaking on the senate floor on Thursday, McConnell argued against the formation of a bipartisan group that would be tasked with looking into the Capitol breach.

During his speech, McConnell continued to push that a commission is unnecessary because Jan. 6 is already being investigated by congressional committees and by law enforcement.

House Democrats passed a bill last week that would pave the way for the commission. Although, the measure faces an uphill battle in the Senate where it needs support from at least 10 Republicans in order to pass.

GOP leaders have strongly opposed the proposed commission, arguing its uncalled for and would prevent the nation from healing. Other Republican lawmakers further argued the commission would be a waste of taxpayer dollars and would be weaponized to go after Trump supporters.

A new citywide report shows that homeless tents and structures have risen by 285-percent in San Francisco's Tenderloin in the last four months. San Francisco Fire Chief Jeanine Nicholson tells ABC7 News there is a rise in homeless people coming from out of town.

San Francisco is paying $16.1 million to shelter homeless people in 262 tents placed in empty lots around the city where they also get services and food — a steep price tag that amounts to more than $61,000 per tent per year.

San Francisco estimates about 8,000 homeless living in the city. The $852 million budget works out to about $106,500 per homeless individual.

As soon as government becomes involved we know the cost will mushroom, service will plummet and the problem will get worse.
