My parents, my siblings and my first employer, a Jewish storeowner, who taught me that honesty was the best policy.
After my teens it was my children, then came my second wife and my life’s formation was completed.

 

I would say that first off, my childhood and being raised in a strict Catholic home. I was naive to the world, and when I left home, I explored and expanded my mind (lots of lsd lol). I ended up in a few abusive relationships, and unfortunately they have shaped me the most. I learned how to survive, still learning how to not end up there again. Trying to un-shape all the survival mode stuff and learn to just love myself again.

Dad tought me to shoot, work on a car, every thing a "son" should know.
Mom tought me to cook, clean, wash, every
thing a "daughter" should know.
She also gave me a high sex drive.

NOT my parents (i mean i consider them as usual people, no love for them, they helped me financially and partially with stupid advice ... old communists, as they lived their youth in the 70s and 80s), but i can thank my grandmother (who sadly doesn't live anymore) helped me a little, i know how to cook stuff thanks to her, i mean in life you can get to the point you live alone so no one will cook you (lol). University studies taught me how to earn and keep my money and NEVER make credits at bank. And of course, people from internet in general, i thank them for all the chats (normal and naughty ones) and their advice.

After HS and being poor with no craft trade or skill, went to work as a laborer, pick and shovel in a hole in the ground...working with some hard nosed guys of all colors and persuasions, then 3 years Infantry....sort of chipped away any silly thoughts I might have had that the world owed me a living, better go back to school, and always look over your shoulder..

 

And a whole lot of humanity than formed my opinions of humanity...thats all

 

I have made an effort to learn from my mistakes. However, some of the lessons came too late. Some opportunities only come once in life. It is best to know in advance how to respond.

 

Failings, hardships and mistakes. Successes, lucky circumstances and wisdom. Some genetics and lots of experience.

 

Female domination and a need to please

 

Ignorance and Apathy. I considered examining the causation of these developmental factors, but the truth is that I don't know and I don't care.

 

My father was my inspiration for how not to be - my mother was the inspiration with super human displays of determination and perserverence - I had a few moments that made me just want to enjoy life to the full as you never know when it’s gonna be over - not sure how I got my sense of humour - I think I found that in a sweet wrapper
