    Candace did not post this on Twitter on Aug 9, 2021: “The CDC actually put together a document to discuss putting high risk people into camps to ‘shield’ low risk people from them.”

    Or, maybe she did. That's just an opinion.

    so bron won't answer a simple question. That leaves us to speculate about why he's answering questions posed to the village idiot.

    So, here's what Candace Owens posted on August 9, 2021;
    “Holy shit. The CDC actually put together a document to discuss putting high risk people into camps to ‘shield’ low risk people from them,” she wrote in an Aug. 9 tweet, linking to the CDC’s page.

    “No— this is not a joke, and yes, every single person who has made a reference to 1930’s Germany is vindicated,” Owens added.

    Her tweet was subsequently shared by multiple users on Instagram and Facebook."
    And here's the link to the document she referred to;
    Interim Operational Considerations for Implementing the Shielding Approach to Prevent COVID-19 Infections in Humanitarian Settings | CDC
    cdc.gov/coronavirus
    Interim Operational Considerations for Implementing the Shielding Approachto Prevent COVID-19 Infections in Humanitarian Settings
    Accessible version:https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/global-covid-19/shielding-approach-humanitarian.html
    CS3194410-A 07/29/2020
    This document presents considerations from the perspective of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) for implementing theshielding approach in humanitarian settings as outlined in guidance documents focused on camps, displaced populations and low-resourcesettings.
    https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/global-covid-19/index.html
    What is the Shielding Approach

    So, CDC most certainly did put together a document to discuss putting high risk people into camps to ‘shield’ low risk people from them. And the document goes into some detail even about how to stage such "camps" and how they might be operated. Details, you see.

    Now, factcheck.org labeled Owen's claim false, noting that "other media outlets" and conservatives claimed that there are in fact plans for such camps, and that this is a false assertion. An assertion that is apparently false, but it is NOT A CLAIM OWENS MADE. Factcheck.org also made reference to the fact that the CDC put this document together during the trump administration, which is not dispositive of whether Owens post was false or not. It does inappropriately inject an irrelevant factoid into the discussion without aiding in resolving it.

    All Owens claimed was that CDC had put together a document discussing "shielding" (politispeak for putting high risk covid carriers into isolated camps) and that she was not joking, and that every person making reference to 1930's Germany is vindicated. None of Owen's facebook post is false and her opinion (every other person making reference to 1930's Germany is vindicated) is defensible. The claims by other media outlets, if we examined them in closer detail and in full, could probably be labeled false or partly false.

    It is unfair to judge Owen's post in light of other posts not made by her, or in the context of those other posts. She should be judged only on her own posts.

    Don't you agree bron?

    Or should we ask the village idiot his opinion?

    1. Bron Zeage
      Did the CDC recommend that high risk people who were not already living in camps because they have no where else to go, should be put in camps?

      The context of her lie is to make you distrust the CDC. How is she doing?

    Did Candace Owens make reference to the CDC recommendations?
    No.
    This, again, is the Candace Owens post at issue;

    “Holy shit. The CDC actually put together a document to discuss putting high risk people into camps to ‘shield’ low risk people from them,”
    “No— this is not a joke, and yes, every single person who has made a reference to 1930’s Germany is vindicated,”
    First, you have failed to demonstrate that Owen's post is a lie. It is, on the face of it, absolutely accurate and true. The CDC did in fact put together a document to discuss putting high risk people into camps to shield low risk people from them. She even provided a link to the document so people could see it for themselves.

    Second, you failed to show how her point is to "make" us distrust the CDC. (The CDC, under Fauci, is already doing a great job of that in Shooters opinion).

    It is unfair to judge Owen's post in light of other posts not made by her, or in the context of those other posts. She should be judged only on her own posts.

    Don't you agree bron?

    1. Bron Zeage
      Candace is being judged on her own posts.

      If you choose to believe her, that's your choice. If you choose to defend her, your choice, again.

      It really comes down to duplicity, gullibleness, or a mix of the two. I just checked my calendar and it's not my day to sort this out.

    2. shootersa
      Well, you had to jump in and answer for anon when Shooter posed a question, so it most certainly is "your day to sort this out."

      If Candace is being judged on her own post, then the only conclusion is, she did not lie when she said:
      “Holy shit. The CDC actually put together a document to discuss putting high risk people into camps to ‘shield’ low risk people from them,”
      “No— this is not a joke, and yes, every single person who has made a reference to 1930’s Germany is vindicated,”
      Because in fact, the CDC did indeed put together a document discussing putting high risk people into camps to shield low risk people from them.

      Now, your attempt to divert;
      "If you choose to believe her, that's your choice. If you choose to defend her, your choice, again.
      It really comes down to duplicity, gullibleness, or a mix of the two."
      is all the answer we need.

      What part of her 22 word statement is false? You keep insisting she lied, but you aren't explaining what is untrue. Examination of what she said shows she in fact told the truth.

      Which makes you the liar bron, doesn't it?

      The CDC document is about people who are now living in refugee camps. It discusses ways of shielding people in these camps from Covid19 and concluded there was no empirical evidence that any of the methods considered were effective in reducing Covid19 deaths in the refugee camps. It did not discuss putting high risk people in camps.

    Striking chart shows it's 'impossible' to not link voting patterns with COVID deaths: reporter

    Washington Post reporter Philip Bump on Friday compared states that voted for President Joe Biden in 2020 with states that voted for former President Donald Trump in 2020 and found it was "impossible" to separate politics from pandemic outcomes.

    In a chart posted on his Twitter account, Bump showed how much Biden-voting states have diverged from Trump-voting states ever since vaccines started rolling out late last year, and he found that blue states are now doing significantly better than they were a year ago at this time, while red states are doing significantly worse.

    Looked at the pandemic numbers again and the gap between vaccinated and unvaccinated states is really striking — and overlaps with party. Impossible to separate party from the pandemic.

    Elaborating on this in a lengthy Washington Post analysis, Bump makes a case that the is a direct correlation with political leanings and pandemic outcomes.

    "Republicans have been less concerned about the virus, less likely to embrace practices such as masking, more likely to express opposition to vaccination and (obviously) voted more heavily for Trump," he writes. "And now, after vaccinations have been made broadly available, states that are seeing the most new cases and deaths are states that are less heavily vaccinated and were more supportive of Trump last year. All of that is obviously and provably true, making it much harder to assert that politics is not playing any role."

    It would be easy to slip into this kind of cynicism, but someone has to be the grownup in the situation. It baffles them that a person would care about someone else's health and well being. They think it has to be some kind of trick or trap.

    Republicans do not value truth, honesty, or life. It doesn't matter to them if their fellow Republicans die a miserable lingering death, so appealing to their self centered nature is pointless. They are 21st century nihilists.

    ‘I’m not taking it’: Joe Biden, Kamala Harris led Covid vaccine skepticism parade before election (bizpacreview.com)

    For all their lecturing of the American people about the coronavirus vaccine, President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris were originally some of the biggest anti-vaxxer skeptics in the country, according to the Republican National Committee.

    A video mashup produced by the political committee this week ostensibly proves it. The mashup contains pre-2020 presidential election clips of both Biden and Harris raising concerns about a potential coronavirus vaccine.

    Here's another COVID casualty I admit to being little more than just upset about.

    Someone I went to school with. Cowboyed with. Roughnecked with. And worked the worst job of our life with

    A week ago he had so much pain in his back and legs he had to go to the emergency room. Two classic signs of blood clots. But they were overrun with COVID patients so they sent him home with some pain pills sent him back home. Two days later he could no longer feel his legs. They went back to the hospital and that time they ligeflighted him out. But the hospital 100 miles away could not take him. So they sent him to the next one 250 miles away.

    By the time then got him there they could not save his legs and just cut them both off. But the blood clots got to his colon and kidneys and are now headed for his lungs.

    And don't try to tell me that's not something just so fucking outrageous. We've lived here all our lives. Our health care system has been patching us up for generations. I ran to that hospital as an EMT and got lots of hours in there. My whole family and especially me have had multiple surgeries there most of them emergencies.

    And he's laying there dying or wishing he was dead if he wakes up and sees his legs gone over something any EMT would have checked for.

    Just non fuck all you Ratlickers for that.

    It would have been absurd a few years ago, that was when the GOP was the party of intellectuals.

    I judge people by their actions, not by their words. It's that old walk the walk thing.

    The GOP is so fucked up, if one of theirs is discovered to value truth, honesty and life, they are labeled a RINO.

    When I see Republicans begin to value truth, honesty, and life, I'll give them credit for the improvement.

    I could post dozens of stories just like that. And you would think that even brainwashed parrots and treasonous conservative/Republicans would watch these COVID dinners dying and change their minds. But they can't. Thet worship at the alter of Traitor Trump and simply suspend all disbelief.

    ‘Alabama Pickers’ YouTuber Couple Hawking Vaccine Skepticism Both Die of COVID

    Two Alabama YouTubers who became known for online resale tips and vaccine denialism have both died of COVID-19. Tristan Graham succumbed to the virus three weeks ago in Huntsville, and Dusty Graham died Thursday, according to the GoFundMe page operated by their children. In one of the final videos on their now-deleted channel, “We are ALIVE and still Reselling on eBay,” the couple discussed why they would never get immunized. Dusty said, “I’ve got my own passport. It’s called the ‘Bill of Rights.’ I think this will be all behind us in a couple of years.” The couple blogged under the moniker “Alabama Pickers” about the best ways to resell secondhand items on eBay.

      I'm touched that you are concerned about what I believe. Very few things are 100% and I am sure there are plenty of Republicans who believe in their heart that the 2020 election was stolen and that the Covid19 vaccine will not save lives. I am also sure there are Republicans who know the election was straight and the Covid19 vaccine will save lives, but are willing to lie to the believers, to attempt tp gain power. The results are the same, either way. As the great Philosopher Mendacious said, "Maybe they aren't they aren't lying cheats who would run over a friend if they had anything to gain, but what would it look like if they were?"
