I have seen ad's for vibrators that are controlled by apps. Me and the hubby have considered getting one but are skeptical. Has anyone on here used one before? Do you know someone who has used one? Don't want to waste $100+ buuuut if there is one that works I'd pay good money to get one

You can probably find a less expensive remote controlled vibrator that doesn't need a smart phone to operate it.

 

Want one for long distance. Like while he's at work. Especially during snow plow time in Virginia.

 

You'll find the app works by bluetooth, not wifi - so the phone won't control the vibe unless you are within bluetooth distance.

Its a great idea though...

I've tried a couple but they haven't done it for me. I used to enjoy the vibraexciter, which was activated by texts to my phone, but it only worked with GSM, and my phone is now 4G, so no go. Shame, as it's the only one that was powerful enough to give me a kick.

The Nuo buttplug was nice fun, app control worked really well, but I'm not someone who orgasms from anal stimulation. I've tried the we-vibe, but for me it was a waste of £130 - the vibration wasn't very strong, it was glitchy and worked best if I sat legs-akimbo, not ideal if the idea is to wear it in public. I know people who love them, but it wasn't for me.

Well I cant speak from experience but you can buy vibes that can be controlled from your smartphone and not just bluetooth and the reviews i have read have all been good.

You coul of course get Skype and and assortment of toys for those times the is away

I have read mixed reviews and I'd rather ask here than read what may be false positive reviews on the company website

Well, it sounds like they're not that far away from each other by choice.

The important thing is to look at the communication technology it uses. Things like bluetooth will require you to pretty much be in the same room. Even "wifi" might require both devices to be connected to the same access point, only communicating over your local network and not sending the commands over the internet. You need something that will go over the internet or cell network. And the thought of trying to glean such technical details like that from the back of a package at a sex shop amuses me.
