The only people who know are the grand jury, the prosecutor and the ex girlfriend.
Not even Gaetz or his attorneys know.

But so long as he hasn't been charged all the "just you wait, just you wait and see" bullshit posts will continue to get the same question asked; "Has Matt been convicted of soliciting in prostitution yet? or aiding in the delinquency of a minor yet?"

And as for the insurrection charge, no one has been charged with insurrection. The leader of the Oath Keepers, a right-wing paramilitary group, and 10 of his members were charged with seditious conspiracy.

OH, to be clear, Shooter is still not convinced it's an insurrection.

What is so funny about this is Gaetz using examples of things already proven guilty. It shows where his head is at. And him panicking I think indicates he knows an indictment is coming shortly.

Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) unleashed an angry rant on Monday about the possibility that he will be indicted in a sex-trafficking investigation that has ensnared at least one of his associates.

Without being prompted, Gaetz complained about the investigation during an appearance on Steve Bannon's War Room: Pandemic podcast.

The Florida Republican explained the concept of a "cut-out" where a group or person is "activated," giving the government a reason to respond.

Gaetz argued that the purported sex-trafficking investigation had the same "pattern" as the impeachment of former President Donald Trump and the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol.

"Using a cut-out seems like exactly what they were trying to do to me!" Gaetz told Bannon. "We are going to take power and when we do, it's not going to be the days of Paul Ryan and Trey Gowdy, where the Republicans go limp-wristed, where they lose their backbone and fail to send a single subpoena. No, it's going to be the days of Jim Jordan and Matt Gaetz and Marjorie Taylor Greene."

Gaetz claimed that the Department of Justice has "gone totally off the rails" because of the investigation into him.

"There is a pattern that is consistent through the Russia hoax, through the Ukraine matter, through my matter, through Jan. 6," he said. "And that is that you have these grey operators that are adjacent to the intelligence community."

"They go an activate other people to seed a lie," the congressman continued, "or engage in an activity that then gives the national security apparatus the authority to do something that they wouldn't otherwise be able to do."

Gaetz posited that the events that led up to the sex-trafficking investigation were likely part of a government "operation" to take him down.

"I'm starting to wonder whether or not what they tried to do to me was extortion or an operation," he opined. "And more and more, it looks like an operation."

This is a pretty consistent pattern. A treasonous conservative/Republican gets in trouble and other treasonous conservative/Republicans will jump to their defense. But only for a while. Then once they find out the treasonous conservative/Republican is guilty they quietly drift away from them.

Matt Gaetz's 'allies are quietly isolating him' as sex trafficking investigation nears end: report

According to a report from Business Insider, Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) is being kept at arm's length by a substantial number of his Republican colleagues as the investigation into allegations he engaged in sex trafficking appears to be coming to an end.

Two weeks ago it was reported that his former girlfriend was granted immunity before testifying before a Florida grand jury which led former U.S. Attorney Joyce Vance to caution, "It's never a good sign for the target when a key witness gets immunity to testify in front of the grand jury."

According to Kimberly Leonard, Camila DeChalus, and Bryan Metzger of Business Insider, "Most Republicans are neither embracing nor condemning scandal-ridden Rep. Matt Gaetz. Yet they may soon face a decision day — one they've been happy to avoid, since Gaetz is one of former President Donald Trump's most vocal defenders — and some Republicans are quietly preparing for the real possibility that federal officials will charge the Florida Republican with crimes."

As to why they have refrained from any negative comments about the Florida Republican, Luis Alvarado, a Republican political strategist explained, "Matt Gaetz is still a poster boy for Trumpism. And if you deny that, then a question arises whether you're still part of that movement."

Instead, the report notes, his colleagues -- with the exception of equally controversial Reps. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) and Jim Jordan (R-OH) -- have sidelined him, including not asking him to be a co-sponsor on a bill to legalize cannabis written by Republicans despite the fact that he is a vocal proponent of legalization.

According to Insider, "Asked about Gaetz's omission from the bill, a cannabis-industry source who spoke on condition of anonymity cited the DOJ investigation," saying, "It has been more difficult for him to lead legislative efforts because of the associated issues."

The report continues, "It shows that while Gaetz still has friends in Congress, even his allies are quietly isolating him — or at least not going out of their way to work with him," before adding, "Some Republicans, who have never much cared for Gaetz since he entered Congress in 2018, have been privately sneering at him in the months since his legal woes began, Insider previously reported. Other Republicans have given donations from Gaetz's campaign committee, called Friends of Matt Gaetz, to charity, according to Federal Election Commission records."

As for Gaetz's future, should he be indicted, one Justice Department official predicted he will still have one defender: Donald Trump.

"Gaetz is almost as toxic as Marjorie Taylor Greene," the official remarked. "However, Trump's associates are often slimy or controversial and it doesn't seem to impact his supporters."
