Hey, with all this " slap heard around the world" I forgot poeple were killing one another just last week, to keep us distracted, this weeks distraction is much more people friendly. Can't wait to see what earth shaking distraction will be put to use next week.
One thing is for sure, with all this distraction business going on, they sure are good at keeping the masses looking away from the corruption, and focusing on the rediculous.

    None of this matters.
Chris Rock got rude during the Oscars.
    Smith corrected him.
    The end.

What Chris Rock said is an actual crime. Free speech is not free. It's called Clear and present danger for a reason. Freedom is being free and the state and quality of being free. The reason behind the First Amendment is to be able to question everyone and everything without being persecuted or prosecuted, period. Churches have never had first Amendment protections because our Founders did ban Churches. They are beliefs not one word in any bible can be said its truth. After all churches did say the earth is flat and anyone that said otherwise were put in prison or put to death. One of the tortures was to heat up a cast iron pot in a fire then place it over the head of any person that stood up and said the earth was round. There is a reason there are Atheist's in the world. Can you name any priest that has healed cancer? But they will take your money.

Will Smith Resigns From the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences
By Alex Parker | Apr 01, 2022 10:00 PM ET

The news is in: Will Smith has quit the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences (AMPAS).

On Wednesday, following an onstage assault of comedian Chris Rock via the “slap heard ’round the world,” the Academy began disciplinary proceedings against the actor.

Per a statement released after a board of governors meeting, he was in violation of the Academy’s Standards of Conduct — “including inappropriate physical contact, abusive or threatening behavior, and compromising the integrity of the Academy.”

Hence, the star was facing possible suspension or expulsion.

AMPAS also noted it hadn’t dealt perfectly with the incident when it occurred:

Things unfolded in a way we could not have anticipated. While we would like to clarify that Mr. Smith was asked to leave the ceremony and refused, we also recognize we could have handled the situation differently.

It was certainly unexpected. Will took on the character of a man who’s having a dream and knows it: Because he’s the only real person, there is no such thing as consequence.

To whatever degree the analogy applies, he’s now awakened to regret.

In a written withdrawal obtained by Variety Friday, the Oscar winner made that clear.

“The list of those I have hurt is long and includes Chris, his family, many of my dear friends and loved ones, all those in attendance, and global audiences at home,” he said.

Hmmm, big popular liberal talk show host Bill Maher has some advice for Mrs. Smith.

Now when I suggested something like this, I got my head bit off by a few forum members here...;)

Bill Maher Absolutely Blisters 'Lucky' Jada Pinkett Smith Over Slap: 'Put on a F**king Wig'
By Mike Miller | Apr 02, 2022 11:30 AM ET

(Fridays at 10 p.m. EDT on HBO)

First, a disclaimer: If you’re so sick of it you’re pretty sure if you see one more article about it, you’re going to… ? I’m there. Bigly. That said, this piece is not about it but rather the blistering beatdown of one of Hollywood’s charmed couples because of it — by one of the few entertainers who can get away with it.

HBO’s “Real Time” host Bill Maher on Friday’s show tore into the “slap heard round the world,” Tinseltown story of the century that has been written about and talked about, over and over and over, beyond the point of ad nauseam — with a “slightly” different twist than most.

As reported by the New York Post, Maher mostly tore into the “victim” </sarcasm>, the ever-self-indulgent Jada Pinkett Smith, wife of the (formerly?) beloved Hollywood A-lister who threw away 30 years of admiration and goodwill in 30 seconds of one of the stupidest things I’ve ever seen — and I’ve seen some stupid crap.

Maher being Maher — I say that this time with the utmost respect (based on what’s about to come) — he first went after Pinkett Smith and the issue of her alopecia, a common autoimmune disorder that often results in unpredictable hair loss. As transcribed by the Post:

If you are so lucky in life as to have that be your medical problem, just say ‘Thank God.’ It’s not life-threatening. It’s part of — for most people, 80 percent of men, 50 percent of women — it’s part of aging.

“Aging is, trust me I know, it’s the degradation of the flesh. It happens to all of us,” said the 66-year-old Maher. He was partially right: the condition can affect anyone regardless of age and gender, though, in most cases, it occurs before the age of 30.

    And then the blast:

And you know, just put on a f**king wig like everybody else at the Oscars if it bothers you so much.

    Boom. BOOM.

Thing is, if Pinkett Smith is so bothered or traumatized by her alopecia condition, one wonders why she all but bragged about her “bald” head just days before the Academy Awards, insisting she doesn’t “give two craps what people think of this bald head of mine.” As transcribed by CNN:

Being a Black woman and dealing with hair in Hollywood, in the era I came up in, having your hair look as European as possible was always the thing. And that was really challenging, you know, because I liked my hair out wild and curly, but nobody wanted that.

So I had to learn to get the courage to go, ‘Nah, I’m not doing that. Which is why I feel the freedom today — I don’t give two craps what people think of this bald head of mine. Because guess what? I love it.

Hmm. Which is it? (I don’t give a damn; I’m merely highlighting her hypocrisy [lying, one way or the other].)

    https://twitter.com/MikeSington/sta...tt-smith-over-slap-put-on-a-fking-wig-n544311

Maher also tore into — and had some advice for — Will Smith, saying the “smackdown” of Chris Rock over a joke about Pinkett Smith’s bald head exposed ugly “aspects of society,” like “toxic masculinity, victim culture, and liberal hypocrisy,” correctly noting that most Americans associate the Academy Awards with the Democratic party and coastal elites — and all it suggests.

    The bottom line:

For the love of God, can we finally stop the obsession?

Except for blistering beatdowns like Bill Maher’s, of course.

Chris Rock could in fact be sued for what he said. Look at Alix Jones. He said Sandy Hook was a hoax. He ignored our Charters of Freedom; freedom means free from doom. It is hubris from the Bible renamed Narcissism by Sigmund Freud. Someone with empathy can feel others that are in pain. People around the world are tired of the pain and suffering they each have. If you want to understand empathy research the movie Lorenzo's Oil. They will give everyone an idea what the Charters of Freedom mean. No one in the United States has the freedom to make anyone suffer. This is what Alex Jones did and was sued for it. Look at the Capital riots, people are tired of the suffering politicians are causing. James Madison and other Founding Fathers predicted a Second American Revolution would be needed. It should be obvious and all elected should be voted out.

    Oscar ratings in the dirt.
Need a plan. Chris - tell joke
    Will - laugh uncontrollably.
Cue in Jada on three, two, three <the look>
    Security - stand back
Will - as per plan, convincing SLAP
Ratings soar, rev it up some more, higher, YES!
Will concedes membership in the Academy.
    <short pause>
Oh WILL! Please come back to the academy.
    accepted.

    Mission accomplished. Good work team!

Well, if Will Smith thought that slapping Chris Rock was going to stop people from talking about his wife and making "rude" jokes, it has obviously backfired....

They are both the target of jokes and "rude" comments now.

Well yes, but Shooter doesn't think that was on Will's mind when he got up. He was thinking "fucker insulted my wife, must avenge her".
Or it could have all been a conspiracy as Conroe outlined.

And for money. Your theory is plausible (why was Smith right up there in front anyway?) but keeping such a thing secret would be a challenge. Would be surprised if its true and everyone kept their mouths shut.

I wonder if the folks who think Smith's violence was justifiable would feel the same way if he assaulted a woman whose joke he didn't like.

    Lots of what ifs.
Shooter was raised that violence was never the solution and hitting women was strictly prohibited.

His experience as a cop taught him that women behaving should never be hit, but women with guns and drunk women who bite (HARD) are exceptions.

SNL had a good opening from the host, he wasn't going talk about. Lol

During weekend update it was mentioned how come Chris Rock kept his hands behind his back and stepped toward Will Smith as he apporched him onstage, even as Wills arm was extended towards him, kept his hands behind his back. Had a nice pic too.

I love Chris Rock and many other comedians that are now being vilified for their words, you all remember jokes right? My issue is that he didn't put up his hands or call security to put Will Smith's ass out! I don't take my wife who has a real bad temper when activated to a comedy club where people are roasted all the time without warning and she knows not to be there.

That asshole cuck of a man Will Smith could've just as easily handled that problem from his seat by saying something in a more intelligent and gentleman way. But once he walked on to that stage and put his hands on that man, he should've been either knocked on his ass or taken out in handcuffs! He laughed at that joke (it's on record) until his publicly outed piece of shit of a wife got into his head and then he acted like some thug at a hip hop show complete with the foul mouth threatening rants I heard as a bouncer.

Fame is not a free pass, ask any of the multitude of well known rappers who took it too far and served time!

Her cuck acted against his own better judgement based on her disapproval which of course as a woman you would never understand. We as men don't signal our female friends, lovers or significant others to act on our behalf and yes some men better know when they need to act or suffer her later.

Men like me don't jump to violence though as I have the capacity to do real harm, I use my words wisely and pick up my hands only as a last resort. Videos have have already circulated as to how she acted just prior to him before he walked the stage and she is seen laughing after Rock was slapped. A person of good moral character would have stopped her man from making such a foolish move and doubly if he was such a public figure.

      So let’s recap.

She should have worn a wig to hide her medical condition so as not to attract attention and thus been the butt of a shitty joke.

She should have reacted in a way that could not have been read as upset at being made the butt of a shitty joke in order to ensure no-one could know she didn’t enjoy being the butt of a shitty joke.

She should have managed her husband’s reaction, controlled his response and stopped him from standing up and walking into the stage.

Anything else she failed to do in your eyes?
