Pennsylvania lawyer with AR-15 pleads guilty after planning to travel to DC and attack Senate Democrats

On Tuesday, The Daily Beast reported that a 72-year-old former lawyer from Pennsylvania has pleaded guilty to a plot to travel to D.C. and attack Senate Democrats.

"Kenelm Shirk III, 72, was arrested less than two weeks after the riot at the Capitol when his wife contacted authorities to say he had threatened her life during an argument over the 2020 presidential election," reported A.J. MacDougall. "Shirk had also told her he was planning to attack a number of unnamed federal lawmakers, according to police. State police stationed along an interstate subsequently spotted Shirk’s car at a gas station and arrested him. In his car, officers found an AR-15 rifle, two handguns, and a box of ammunition."

According to the report, a nurse giving shirk a mental health evaluation told police she had uncovered a "to-do" list he had written that included things like "guns, ammo, rope, tools, meds, magazine."

In recent months, multiple people have been arrested for threats on the lives of members of Congress; one man in Florida, Frank Anthony Pezzuto, was arrested after leaving threatening voicemails for three members.

Capitol Rioter Risks Bond After Allegedly Assaulting Cop at Bar

A Capitol rioter awaiting trial for felony charges related to his involvement in the Jan. 6 Capitol riots nearly risked his bond on Feb. 25 when he allegedly assaulted several people, including a police officer, in Maryland. John Andries was first indicted last February on five counts for his participation in the Jan. 6 assault on the Capitol. In videos detailed in court documents, Andries was seen entering the Capitol House through a broken window and encouraging the mob onward. More recently, after getting drunk at the Action Lounge & Billiards bar in Leonardtown, Maryland, the 36-year-old allegedly pulled a woman’s hair, refused to leave, and later kicked the sergeant attempting to arrest him several times, according to an arrest report. He was released on bond after the Leonardtown arrest and appeared in federal court for separate charges related to the Jan. 6 2021 Capitol riot on Tuesday. Prosecutors requested that his bond be revoked, citing his “unwillingness to abide by” the light restrictions he was placed under last year and “his disregard for this Court’s authority and the rule of law more broadly.” Andries apologized for the recent assault and said he had been “overwhelmed” by the publicity of the investigations into the Capitol riots. Rather than have his bond revoked, he has been ordered to undergo GPS monitoring, a 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. curfew, regular substance testing, and an order to not consume alcohol.

Ashli Babbitt’s Brother Accused of Attacking Latino Worker During Vile Racist Rant

The brother of MAGA rioter Ashli Babbitt—who was killed by police when she stormed the Capitol during the Jan. 6 insurrection—allegedly attacked and went on a racist tirade against a utility worker in California. In September, Roger Stefan Witthoeft Jr. drove into a roadblock in San Diego, then began shouting at a man who was directing traffic. Witthoeft, 33, allegedly shouted racial slurs at the man, who was Latino, and told him to speak English. He also shoved the traffic controller and called him an immigrant, prosecutors said. “Go back to your country you fucking immigrant,” he allegedly told the worker. Witthoeft has been charged with hate crime battery and for violating the man’s constitutional rights. His trial begins in April.

Donald Trump is calling on his followers to "lay down their very lives" to defend the United States against critical race theory. The disgraced former president delivered that dangerous call to arms at his "Save America" rally Saturday night in Florence, South Carolina.

"Getting critical race theory out of our schools is not just a matter of values, it's also a matter of national survival," Trump told his MAGA supporters. So-called critical race theory is not something that is taught in K-12 grades, it is a college-level interdisciplinary means to examine social and institutional constructs surrounding race.

"We have no choice," Trump continued, a claim he often makes when speaking falsely.

That's when he laid the groundwork for weaponizing his followers in the racist battle inside his mind that one day may erupt in physical war on our streets.

"The fate of any nation depends upon the willingness of its citizens to lay down – and they must do this – lay down their very lives to defend their country. If we allow the Marxists and communists and socialists to teach our children to hate America there will be no one left to defend our flag or to protect our great country or its freedom."

Backlash was strong and swift.

"Calling for political violence to stop the teaching of accurate history in our schools is what fascism looks like," commented Indivisible's Sarah Dohl.

"Trump doesn’t want a political party. He wants an army. He’s a TV terrorist yes. But he’s also a real fascist," wrote Condé Nast Legal Affairs Editor Luke Zaleski. "Attacking the Capitol, waiting, calling it off, then telling them he loved them after they terrorized the country and got his message across was a kind of a hint, folks."

Zaleski later added: "Trump is a traitor and political mob boss."

Civil-rights lawyer Subodh Chandra described Trump's remarks as a "call to a violent race war. Over nothing but the teaching of our actual history. (CRT is not taught in public schools.)"

"Donald Trump," said Moms Demand Action founder Shannon Watts, "who seems to be in the running for 2024, tells a nation awash in guns to kill or be killed in order to stop anyone from 'hating our country.'"

"Scenes from a slow civil war," observed Vanity Fair contributing editor Jeff Sharlet, who exposed the international right-wing Christian fundamentalist theocratic organization known as The Family.

"What does this mean?" asked Georgetown University McCourt School of Public Policy professor Don Moynihan. "If you are a teacher in a state you probably feel less and less safe by the extremist nature of this rhetoric."

Secret Service issues warning on growing terrorism dangers from 'involuntarily celibate' males

Men who can't get women to have sex with them pose a terrorism risk, according to a new assessment from the U.S. Secret Service.

According to CNN and CBS the report focused on the growing threat from men who refer to themselves as "anti-feminists" or "involuntary celibates." The men claim that because women won't date them or have sex with them that they have a right to retaliate or attack women. They believe they are entitled to sex with women.

Such was the case in 2018 when a Florida man opened fire on a hot yoga class. Investigators discovered a long history of involvement in groups of men who can't have relationships with women.

The 26-page report from the Secret Service concludes by saying that while "there is no one profile of an individual who plans or executes an act of targeted violence," investigators must consider potential targets when seeking to thwart attacks, as suspects routinely "explore multiple targets during the planning process, before making their final selection."

They also outlined some red flags to predict mass shooting events like the one that happened in Florida. The goal was to walk through early intervention and decide at what point concerns should be addressed in these males. The National Threat Assessment Center (NTAC) often publishes research based on such threats in the U.S.

"During his teen years, the attacker was accused of stalking his classmates, and he wrote stories that centered around violent themes," said lead NTAC researcher Steve Driscoll. "One of those stories was 81 pages long and involved the protagonist murdering several girls before committing suicide. The female characters in the story that were killed, represented the attacker's actual classmates from his high school, but he slightly changed the names in his writing."

In fact, Beierle faced a lack of consequences for his behavior leading up to the mass shooting. He had been charged several times with battery, but charges were dropped. The Secret Service noted that predictors from others like him could be "failed aspirations, lack of financial stability, bizarre behavior, harassment and homicidal ideations," said CNN.

Abuse like Beierle's isn't isolated to just incel violence, two-thirds of mass shootings are linked to domestic violence, said a study published in Injury Epidemiology.

A 2020 analysis of 749 mass shootings over the past six years discovered that about 60 percent were committed by men with a history of domestic violence, Bloomberg News reported at the time.

As the case study explained, "This attacker's history highlights the specific threat posed by misogynistic extremism. This gender-based ideology, sometimes referred to as 'male supremacy' has received increased attention in recent years from researchers, government agencies and advocacy groups due to its association with high-profile incidents of mass violence."

'You won’t see the bullet coming': Woman charged for sending death threats to two Michigan Democrats

An Ohio woman is facing charges after she allegedly sent voicemail messages threatening to kill two Michigan state lawmakers, Click on Detroit reports.

Sandra Bachman, 58, targeted state Reps. Cynthia Johnson and Sarah Anthony, both of whom are Democrats.

“(You) need to cancel that bill against the vets, you little traitor, and, um, you won’t see the bullet coming, let me tell you that. So, stop this s--- and you’re fired. We’ll be coming to Michigan soon to remove you from your post," she said in a May, 2021 voicemail to Anthony.

In June of the same year, she sent a voicemail to Johnson, saying, "Well, baby-doll, n***a lip b***h, monkey, we are going to get you. You will die. You are one of the worst offenders. We actually have a tier too, in like points for how much you are worth once we kill you.... You're going to die and I'm happy about it. The whole world will be rejoicing, just know that. Sleep well."

Anthony and Johnson are both African American.

Bachman has been charged with one count of false report or threat of terrorism, one count of ethnic intimidation and two counts of malicious use of telecommunications services. If convicted on all counts, she faces over 20 years in prison.

Her arraignment before a judge is scheduled for March 31.

"This rise in threats against elected officials will not be tolerated," Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel said in a news release. "Those who think hiding behind a phone or keyboard will prevent them from facing criminal charges are severely mistaken. I appreciate the work done across state lines to bring accountability in this case."

MARLBORO COUNTY, S.C. (WMBF) - A Marlboro County trach truck worker has been charged with assault after attacking a co-worker with a knife.

The Marlboro County Sheriff’s Office said on March 8 deputies responded to Appin Rd. in the Bennettsville area of Marlboro County in reference to an assault involving two trash truck workers.

According to the report, 47-year-old David Junior Hamilton was involved in a verbal argument with a coworker when Hamilton assaulted that coworker with a knife.

Hamilton was transported to the Marlboro County Detention Center where he received a $ 15,000 surety bond.

The videos are jaw-dropping. The language – antisemitic, homophobic, misogynistic, and extraordinarily racist – filled with rage and hate.

Tuesday evening the NYPD announced Frank R. James is a person of interest in that morning's subway mass shooting that left at least 23 people injured, including 10 with gunshots and five in critical condition. He remains at large. Wednesday morning NYC Mayor Eric Adams announced James is now a suspect in the attack, The New York Times reports.

Rolling Stone reports James "is a prolific user of social media, regularly uploading lengthy, often racist diatribes to both YouTube and Facebook in which he addresses a range of topics from the state of race relations in the United States to the policies of New York City Mayor Eric Adams, according to videos reviewed by Rolling Stone."

To be clear, Rolling Stone reports that although "the man in videos uploaded to both the YouTube and Facebook accounts never identifies himself by name, he bears a strong resemblance to photos of James distributed by authorities. In a news conference Tuesday, NYPD commissioner Keechant Sewell stated Mayor Adams’ security detail has been bolstered 'in light of the videos,' the New York Times reported — thus indirectly confirming the link between James and the disturbing social media posts."

In his videos — which number in the hundreds and feature titles such as “why we need more racial profiling,” “should the black woman be forcibly sterilized,” and “TO KILL OR NOT TO KILL” — James often rails against numerous racial and ethnic groups, including whites, Blacks, Jews and Latinos. He also compares people of color to “a bunch of turds in a toilet,” waiting to be “flushed” down the drain by society and implies that a race war between whites and Blacks is imminent. In one video, he calls Sept. 11, 2001 “the most beautiful day in the history of this country.”

Man who poured acid on Hispanic victim wrote a racist letter to Trump about ‘defectives’ and ‘parasites‘

A jury in a Milwaukee county convicted Clifton Blackwell, 64, for splashing acidic drain cleaner on a Hispanic man during a parking dispute in 2019 -- a move he later claimed was self-defense, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Blackwell was convicted of first-degree reckless injury, with a dangerous weapon, as a hate crime. He faces up to 20 years in prison.

The incident started when Mahud Villalaz parked his truck inside a bus stop zone. Blackwell, who was waiting for a bus, told Villalaz he was parked illegally, which sparked an argument. During the argument, Blackwell reached into his satchel, took out an aluminum bottle and removed the cap. After Villalaz moved his truck, the two got into another argument and Blackwell splashed the bottle's contents into Villalaz's face.

Villalaz, 43, testified that he suffered second-degree burns and the vision in his left eye is affected to this day. Villalaz, who is Peruvian, told jurors that Blackwell called him illegal, and that he "invaded" his country and should "go back."

Blackwell denied making the racist comments but admitted saying "Why don't you obey the laws of my country?" as a "verbal jab."

During the trial, the judge allowed reference to past racial statements from Blackwell, one being a 2019 letter he wrote to then-President Donald Trump.

"None of them have any business being in my country. They are parasites on the public purse," he wrote. "I guarantee one will be a criminal predator, a destructor upon reaching puberty."

"He’s not too complimentary about Hispanics, Asians and his own race, for that matter, and claims to have had long-term mental health problems. The 29 victims of Tuesday’s shooting were a multicultural mix, as you would expect in a crowded rush-hour subway train. Police say James detonated a smoke grenade before firing 33 shots on the Manhattan-bound N train. Police found a hatchet, three ammunition magazines, fireworks and gasoline. It’s a miracle no one was killed.

But whatever his psychiatric issues, James sounds very much like other ideologically fixated, identity-obsessed killers who have emerged since the BLM-Antifa racial movement of 2020 and the hate speech it unleashed.

Like Darrell Brooks Jr., who allegedly plowed his car into the Waukesha Christmas parade last November, and Noah Green, the Nation of Islam adherent who rammed Capitol Police last April in a quickly memory-holed attack, James espoused the rancid, racist ideology of black supremacy, once known officially as “black identity extremism,” which we have been assured by the FBI and other legal experts doesn’t exist.

James posted material on social media linked to black identity extremist ideologies, including the Nation of Islam, Black Panthers, Black Liberation Army, BLM and an image of black nationalist cop-killer Micah Johnson.

“White people and black people, as we call ourselves, should not have any contact with each other,” James rants in one of hundreds of YouTube videos posted to a channel under the user name “prophetoftruth88,” from which police took a screenshot to identify him as a suspect, and which was removed from YouTube Wednesday.

In another video, he weeps over the news that new Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson is married to a “white man,” whom he described as the “enemy.”

Self-described 'incel' who films himself harassing and pepper-spraying women now wanted on hate crime charges

Police are looking for a man who has posted multiple video of himself harassing women outside bars in Southern California's Orange County, Fox11 reports.

The Costa Mesa Police Department says self-described "incel" Johnny Young is wanted for attacking people after he approached a group of women using explicit language outside a Costa Mesa bar. Police say Young is wanted in connection to several hate crimes, but did not mention specifics.
