The whispering campaign in the despicable ranks is giving some indication that if Matt McConaughey decided to run for President in 2024 he'd be favorably received. Turns out, his emotional speech regarding the Uvalde tragedy was considered just peachy.
Matthew McConaughey for president? He’s achieved what no American politician has in decades (yahoo.com)

    So much for Biden?
    So much for Harris?
    But really. McConaughey?

Okay. Lets explore that a bit. Who would be his running mate? Perhaps, Kate Hudson? The two do have a history .......
    Well, what the hell!
We elected movie stars before with good results, as in Ronald Reagan. Why couldn't Matt be a good president?
    (He has no experience)
No matter. We elected a non politician recently, didn't we, and that turned out well.

    OKAY!!
    MATT FOR PRESIDENT!!

A New York Times report revealed Saturday that many Democratic Party officials have little faith that President Biden can keep his party afloat amid mounting crises.

The piece also implied that the Jan. 6 Committee is Biden’s last chance before the midterm elections to persuade swing voters who are more fixated on inflation.

According to reporters Reid Epstein and Jennifer Medina, "many Democratic lawmakers and party officials are venting their frustrations with President Biden’s struggle to advance the bulk of his agenda, doubting his ability to rescue the party from a predicted midterm trouncing and increasingly viewing him as an anchor that should be cut loose in 2024."

Biden has been polling poorly, and there are reports that he and his White House staff are frustrated with the obstacles in front of him, including increasingly negative media coverage.

The report cited "nearly 50 Democratic officials" and "disappointed voters" who are "alarmed about Republicans’ rising strength and extraordinarily pessimistic about an immediate path forward" under the Biden administration.

There is "low enthusiasm" from Biden’s base and worry from party officials about the president’s "leadership, his age and his capability to take the fight to former President Donald J. Trump a second time," the Times wrote. It quoted Steve Simeonidis, a Democratic National Committee member from Florida, who said, "To say our country was on the right track would flagrantly depart from reality," and urged him to announce he wouldn't run again shortly after the midterms.

The piece also depicted the Jan. 6 Committee hearing as "perhaps the last, best chance before the midterms to break through with persuadable swing voters who have been more focused on inflation and gas prices."

Otherwise, all that Biden has – after "repeated failures of his administration to pass big-ticket legislation on signature Democratic issues" and "halting efforts to use the bully pulpit of the White House to move public opinion" – is "sagging approval ratings and a party that, as much as anything, seems to feel sorry for him."

Epstein and Medina acknowledged that Democrats have been "struggling to explain away a series of calamities for the party" including, "inflation rates unseen in four decades, surging gas prices, a lingering pandemic, a spate of mass shootings, a Supreme Court poised to end the federal right to an abortion."

Record inflation continues to bedevil the Biden White House. (istock)

The report alleged that "nearly all the Democrats interviewed" have a "deep concern about his political viability," and stated they’re uncomfortable with his gaffes. "They have watched as Biden has repeatedly rattled global diplomats with unexpected remarks that were later walked back by his White House staff, and as he has sat for fewer interviews than any of his recent predecessors."

Obama chief strategist David Axelrod told the paper that "Biden doesn’t get the credit he deserves" for some of his successes, including navigating the pandemic, uniting NATO against Russia, "and restoring decency and decorum to the White House." However, he admitted, "the president would be closer to 90 than 80 at the end of a second term, and that would be a major issue."

Polling shows Biden is at a low point with Democratic voters, with one Associated Press poll showing him at just 33 percent approval with them.

Epstein and Medina rounded out the report with quotes from various party members expressing doubt about Biden’s future. Texas state representative Jasmine Crockett stated, "Democrats are like, ‘What the hell is going on?’ Our country is completely falling apart. And so I think we’re lacking in the excitement."

Former DNC chair Howard Dean implied Biden hasn’t achieved enough of what he has promised. "We need to have specific examples of how we’re dealing with things; it can’t just be pie-in-the-sky and kumbaya," he said.

The report concluded with a quote from DNC member Sheila Huggins, a lawyer from North Carolina: "Democrats need fresh, bold leadership for the 2024 presidential race. That can’t be Biden."

Top Democrats Say Biden Should Not Run for Re-Election in 2024: ‘That Can’t Be Biden’

Top Democrats across the country said President Joe Biden should not run for re-election in 2024 as they expressed worries over his current leadership and age.

Nearly all 50 Democratic officials interviewed by the New York Times feared a Biden re-election campaign would not help their party against Republicans, who are expected to make sweeping victories in the coming midterms.

Democratic National Committee (DNC) member Steve Simeonidis, of Miami, said he was generally pessimistic about his party’s leadership and called on Biden, 79, to let someone new take over in 2024.

‘To say our country was on the right track would flagrantly depart from reality,’ Simeonidis told the Times. ‘[Biden] should announce his intent not to seek re-election in ’24 right after the midterms.’

Shelia Huggins, another member of the DNC from Durham, North Carolina, was more critical of the president.

‘Democrats need fresh, bold leadership for the 2024 presidential race,’ she said. ‘That can’t be Biden.’

While grateful for Biden’s victory against Donald Trump in 2020, many of the interviewed Democrats, many of whom asked to remain anonymous, said the troubles facing the president’s administration have dealt a major blow to his party.

Among the big ticket issues are record-high inflation that’s the heighest its ever been in more than 40 years, surging gas prices – which hit $5 per gallon on Saturday, the lingering pandemic and the possible end of federal abortion rights as the Supreme Court is poised to end Roe V. Wade in the coming weeks.

Also stinging was Biden’s failure to pass his $1.8 trillion Build Back Better agenda and voting rights expansion, which faced opposition from his own party, and the chaotic U.S. military exit from Afghanistan last summer.

The question remains of who would be poised to replace Biden in this highly polarizing political climate as Democrats fear Trump might launch his own re-election campaign for 2024.

Few of those interviewed by the Times said they did not expect Vice President Kamala Harris to run.

Harris has faced her own failures in office, primarily through the crisis at the U.S.-Mexico border despite her being appointed as the border czar.

Many of the interviewed Democrats instead touted U.S. senators Amy Klobuchar, Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren and Corey Booker, as well as U.S. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg and Texas gubernatorial hopeful Beto O’Rourke.

This is one poll, a snapshot it time. However, as shocking as it should be, I don't think that most adult Conservatives will be surprised by this.
Younger male Democrats -- lower in testosterone than their Conservative counterparts, yet more willing to accept political violence.
Looks like the beginning of a trend here...
BTW, what's happening with younger Republican women?

A Disturbing Poll in the Aftermath of the Attempted Assassination of Brett Kavanaugh
By Matt Margolis Jun 09, 2022 9:46 AM ET

The attempted assassination of Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh should have universally shocked Americans. It seems that, out of basic human decency, people should have a real problem with resorting to violence and killing over differences in opinion on public policy, regardless of what side of the aisle they’re on. Americans come together in the aftermath of tragedies such as mass shootings, natural disasters, and other highly publicized events that leave families shattered.

Yet, people apparently have different attitudes about political assassinations. According to a recently released poll, nearly half of male Democrats under the age of 50 (44 %) say it’s acceptable to assassinate a politician “who is harming the country or our democracy,” the highest percentage of any age/gender/party demographic.

The poll, which was conducted by Tulchin Research for the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), also found that nearly a third of younger Democrat women and younger Republican men agreed with the statement, as did 40% of younger Republican women.

Holy crap. An *SPLC* poll finds that nearly half of young male Democrats approve of “assassinating a politician who is harming our country or democracy." pic.twitter.com/3yrhCUkDAb
    — Vince Coglianese (@VinceCoglianese) June 8, 2022

Perhaps the most striking aspect of the poll is the generational difference. Older men and women of either party are significantly less likely to approve of the assassination of political opponents than their younger counterparts. Party identification aside, it is clear that the younger generations are not being taught to respect the lives of others, particularly of their political opponents. This is a perilous path, especially when you consider the way the Democratic Party frequently accuses Republicans of being threats to democracy — while demonstrating that the violent rhetoric of Chuck Schumer was likely more dangerous than we thought.

Biden's Homeland Secretary Lied About Disinformation Board: Whistleblower Documents
    by Tyler Durden
    Saturday, Jun 11, 2022 - 09:30 PM
Authored by Mark Tapscott via The Epoch Times (emphasis ours),

Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas misled Congress when he testified under oath in May that the Disinformation Governance Board (DGB) “had not yet begun its work,” two Republican senators claim. Documents obtained from a DHS whistleblower by Sen. Charles Grassley (R-Iowa) and Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.)—planning, decision-making, and concrete work by senior DHS officials, including Mayorkas, had begun at least as early as September 2021.

In addition, the documents provided to the senators show that Mayorkas was asked by DHS officials tasked with planning and establishing the DGB for his approval to proceed as early as January 2022 and that Mayorkas gave his approval for doing so in February 2022.

    A Different Picture
“On May 4, 2022, Secretary Mayorkas testified under oath to Senator Hawley that the Disinformation Governance Board ‘had not yet begun its work.’

“On May 1, 2022, the secretary told the news media that the board would be focused on disinformation ‘from foreign state adversaries [and] the cartels’ and would not monitor American citizens,” the GOP senators said in a joint statement.

“At the White House on May 2, White House press secretary Jen Psaki claimed that the board would be focused on ‘human traffickers and other transnational criminal organizations.’”

Despite those claims by Mayorkas and Psaki, Grassley and Hawley said in their statement that the documents they were provided reveal a different picture of the DGB’s development. The documents said the DGB was conceived from the beginning in part to monitor the domestic speech of U.S. citizens concerning “conspiracy theories about the validity and security of elections” and “disinformation related to the origins and effects of COVID-19 vaccines or the efficacy of masks.” They added that Mayorkas and his team sought a partnership with social media outlet Twitter designed to censor content unapproved by the DGB and planned a meeting with Twitter executives to discuss such a joint effort.

In addition, the papers show the DGB charter that was officially drafted in January 2022 was personally signed by Mayorkas on Feb. 24, 2022, with the stipulation in the document that the secretary’s approval marked the immediate effect of the charter.

Mayorkas told the Senate in May that the DGB hadn’t yet begun its work even as a meeting with social media executives was apparently being staffed by Nina Jankowicz, who had only been nominated in April by President Joe Biden to be the board’s executive director, according to the documents.

    Leaked Documents
The Twitter meeting was, again according to the documents, scheduled for April 28 and would include Twitter head of global public policy Nick Pickles and head of site security Yoel Roth.

The meeting is off-the-record and closed to [the] press,” one of the leaked documents stated.

The papers also suggest that DHS officials drafted legislation to codify a “Rumor Control Program of the Department of Homeland Security to Counter Mis-information, Dis-information, and Mal-information,” including a public-facing website known as “Rumor Control.”

In addition, the leaked documents concerning the Twitter meeting mention numerous “discussion points,” including one noting that “the DHS Office of Intelligence and Analysis (I&A) created a domestic terrorism branch within its counterterrorism mission center to ensure DHS develops the expertise necessary to produce sound and timely intelligence, at the lowest possible classification level in order to inform our stakeholders.”

In a June 7 letter to Mayorkas, the senators expressed their fear that the DGB would, in fact, act as a government censor targeting political opinions that, while being unapproved by the Biden administration, are nevertheless protected speech under the First Amendment.

The leaked documents include multiple references to the DGB relying on “clear, objective facts,” but the senators told Mayorkas in their letter that “it is unclear how DHS defines ‘clear, objective facts,’ and it is unclear what safeguards, if any, DHS has put in place to ensure that individuals charged with determining which issue areas have ‘clear’ and ‘objective facts’ are not influenced by their own ideological and political beliefs.”

    Combat Terrorist Threats
“While the memo boldly asserts that the department’s ‘counter-disinformation mission, including the choices as to what issue areas to focus on, must not be politicized and must be protected from perceptions of politicization,’ some of the examples of disinformation given in the memo relate not only to foreign disinformation, but issues that have been at the heart of domestic political discourse for the past several years,” the letter states.

For instance, the memo refers to ‘[c]onspiracy theories about the validity and security of elections’ and ‘[d]isinformation related to the origins and effects of COVID-19 vaccines or the efficacy of masks.'”

Congress established DHS after it was proposed in 2002 by President George W. Bush as a result of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center in New York and the Pentagon in Washington.

The new federal department was intended to unify the federal government’s efforts to combat international terrorist threats, especially those mounted by violent Islamic radicals based in the Middle East and Iran against targets within U.S. borders.

A DHS spokesman didn’t respond by press time to a request by The Epoch Times for comment.

Democrats, beware the perils of the Zombie Army you have raised...

    The Management of Fanaticism
By Richard Fernandez Jun 11, 2022 11:21 PM ET

The second worst fate that can befall an agitator is when nobody takes his fiery exhortations seriously. But by far the worst fate is when the crowds take him literally; because then he faces something far more frightening than the mere customary order he is trying to overthrow: he faces the full import of a radical vision taken to its ultimate conclusion.

One of the biggest hazards in the social change business is runaway virtue. Ideology in the lives of true believers often becomes an end in itself and this becomes a problem for practical politicians who want to come across as radical but not insane, and are embarassed by the wide-eyed zeal of their adherents. As Mao Tse-tung, who would use this fact to spawn and later suppress the Red Guards, observed, “there are not a few people who still regard odd quotations from Marxist-Leninist works as a ready-made panacea which, once acquired, can easily cure all maladies”. Armed with their newfound religion, they become angry and impatient with anything contrary to their all-consuming faith. In the 21st century this has given rise to what popular culture calls the “Karen phenomenon“.

Kansas State University professor Heather Suzanne Woods, whose research interests include memes, said a Karen’s defining characteristics are a sense of entitlement, a willingness and desire to complain, and a self-centered approach to interacting with others. According to Woods, a Karen “demands the world exist according to her standards with little regard for others, and she is willing to risk or demean others to achieve her ends.” Rachel Charlene Lewis, writing for Bitch, agrees, saying a Karen doesn’t view others as individuals and instead moves “through the world prepared to fight faceless conglomerate of lesser-than people who won’t give her what she wants and feels she deserves.”

Although the “Karen” stereotype has been caricatured, for some of the Woke at least, to be educated is to be angry. As one academic explained, “transformative pedagogical developments .. make use of discomfort and criticality, including the suggestion of ‘brave spaces’” to teach rage not as a bug but an actual feature. A growing number of institutions churn out graduates deliberately conditioned to see unfairness in everything and ready to do battle with it. The difficulty arises when these graduates are subsequently employed in Woke institutions and raise hell.

The Washington Post has fired Felicia Sonmez for “insubordination” after the well-known reporter spent days publicly accusing fellow colleagues and leadership at the paper of fostering an environment unsupportive of female staffers. … Sonmez’s firing tops a whirlwind week for one of the nation’s most venerable media institutions, in which internal newsroom strife erupted into public view, affecting some of the most high-profile people on staff. It comes just days after the paper suspended a fellow reporter, Dave Weigel, for a month after he retweeted a crude joke about women. … But the infighting continued from there. Another Post reporter, Jose A. Del Real, accused Sonmez of trying to publicly bully Weigel over a mistake for which he had apologized. Sonmez responded in kind: “When women stand up for themselves, some people respond with even more vitriol.”

The Sonmez incident illustrated what Mao always understood: fanaticism was like high explosive. Unless carefully controlled, the anger can detonate just as easily inside a progressive organization as outside of it — and blow it up. Militant ideologues seem at first to benefit Woke institutions because the true believers act as enforcers of ideological conformity in the mold of commissars in the old Soviet Union. But soon this system of dual authority reveals its potential risks, because whereas in the Soviet system the twin lines of authority converged in a single figure controlling both Party and State, and were thus never ultimately in conflict, progressive Western institutions answer to regular management on the one hand, while the commissars report to a militant community outside the organization, creating the possibility of hypergolic ignition.

In cashiering Somnez, the WaPo may have beaten down the commissariate for now, but the problem isn’t confined to a few runaway radical crazies. The progressive culture warriors and educators have spawned an entire generation of fanatics, who instead of taking academic speculation with a grain of salt, imbibed the fiery rhetoric seriously and are now an out-of-control zombie army. They are now firmly embedded in the Democratic party matrix, dug in too deep to root out. Unfortunately, like fanatics through history, many lack even a lick of common sense. The older generation of left politicians, warned by a childhood memory of reality, realize that unless the ideological zombies are stopped, they will precipitate blackouts, ruin the economy, and unleash a crime wave on the populace, not to mention starting witch hunts everywhere.

Disregarding the imperatives of power, the zombies must prioritize ideology above all else, to the detriment of the pro pols. Thus, as Joe Biden desperately tries to shift blame for the skyrocketing fuel prices that are collapsing his approval polls; even as he hectors Exxon Mobil to make emergency investments to produce more fuel; while he invokes the Defense Production Act (DPA) of 1950 to reopen and subsidize rare-earth mines to produce batteries; as he in a nutshell scrambles to save his political neck, radical environmental groups remain remorselessly in opposition to anything that might actually ease the crisis. Electoral suicide? But then District Attorney Chesa Boudin persisted in his crime-inducing Woke policies even after deep blue San Franciscans rose up in disgust to recall him. “Political consultants and law-enforcement officials say the recall of Mr. Boudin in this left-leaning city signals a broader voter backlash against the movement amid rising violent crime over the past two years.” Boudin of course, was unrepentant. “In forceful speech Tuesday night, during which he shouted at times, Mr. Boudin said he was proud of the reforms he enacted during his 2½ years in office. ‘We have already won because we have redefined the way people think about the role of the district attorney’s office,’ he said.”

Of course he would say that, because ideologues are never wrong; that’s why the zombie army is unstoppable. No setback, refutation, or catastrophe fazes them. They just keep coming. “China and India have announced plans to increase their domestic coal production by a combined total of 700 million tons per year. For perspective, US coal production this year will total about 600 million tons,” reports RealClearEnergy. Yet, in an era when Europe is still paying billions to Vladimir Putin for energy:

Campaigning groups have launched legal action to challenge a decision by the European Union’s executive arm to include 30 gas projects in a list of operations considered as beneficial to the 27-nation bloc’s energy market. The campaigners said on Tuesday that the European Commission has given “these climate-destructive projects VIP status, in contradiction of its legal obligations.” They said the projects are worth 13 billion euros and will lock the region into dependency on the fossil fuel that EU institutions say that they want to get rid of. …

Supporters of the gas projects argue that they would improve Europe’s energy security, particularly in the context of energy sanctions taken against Russia for its war in Ukraine. The bloc is seeking alternatives to decrease its dependence on Russian gas, which accounts for about 40% of the EU’s gas consumption.

    ------- ----------

The full import of a radical vision taken to its ultimate conclusion is never obvious, but a good guess is that extremism, and its handmaiden fanaticism, inevitably lead to tyranny. Both impulses scour the world searching for the absolute, the total, the pitiless to feed upon. Where else would they go except to the party promising paradise? Xi was wise and cynical. What Xi learned after “suffering much under Mao”, was not that zombies were bad, but that they were useful, if like Mao, you could stay in control of them.

Another member of the Zombie Army has self-identified, this time it's a radicalized adult. (I say it because I don't know her pronouns...)
I always smile when certain posters here claim that Conservatives are traitors and must be feared because of their potential for authoritarianism.

Pa. Democrat Congresswoman Goes Full Nazi, Says GOP Must Be ‘Cleansed’
By Matt Margolis Jun 11, 2022 9:27 AM ET

Despite being an advocate of “civility,” “decency,” and “unity” in the past, Rep. Chrissy Houlahan (D-Pa.) has apparently been so radicalized by her caucus that she now says the Republican Party is “diseased” and must be “cleansed.”

“This is, in my opinion, a diseased Republican Party. And it needs to be cured and cleansed,” Houlahan said on the Daily Beast‘s The New Abnormal podcast last month. “So the stakes of having a Republican, as an example, in my seat are more than just policy differences. They are democracy, in my opinion.”

The GOP is “diseased” and must be “cleansed?” Where have you heard such rhetoric before? It bears a shocking resemblance to the rhetoric of the Nazi Party.

Activists often make comparisons of their political enemies to Nazis, but in this case, this is not hyperbole.

Here’s what the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum says about the Nazi’s racial science: From 1933 to 1945, Nazi Germany carried out a campaign to “cleanse” German society of individuals viewed as biological threats to the nation’s “health.”

Houlahan’s language is dehumanizing and immoral, and yet I have no doubt she has drunk enough of the left-wing Kool-Aid since she took office in 2019 that she actually believes what she’s saying. This is the kind of rhetoric that inspires left-wing activists to want to assassinate conservative Supreme Court justices or members of Congress. They’ve been conditioned to believe that people who disagree with them on policy are less than human.

To be cured...one must first admit that one needs to be cured.

I'll be the first to admit...the GOP has it's problems:

    Problem #1...RINO's

    Problem #2...RINO's

    Problem #3...RINO's

    Problem #4...'cuz there's always a 4th...RINO's

However with all the problems that I'll admit the GOP has...they dont have the problem of attempting to re-invent the wheel.

The shape of the wheel has worked for thousands and thousands of years...yet, true to form the hack fuck leftists seem to be of the opinion.,.....they can make that wheel better....seems they dont know a square peg just dont fit in a round hole...thus, the cure is not worse than the disease.

The low testosterone, criminal Zombie Army marches on, chanting, "We'll tear it all down if we don't get our way."
This is something that @stumbles can really get his teeth into; a criminal, "shithole" political organization that a sane person can learn to hate....

    The Democrats: 'A Criminal Organization'
    By Clarice Feldman
    June 12, 2022

More than a decade ago, Michael Walsh dubbed the Democrats, “A criminal organization masquerading as a political party.” I once thought this was overstating the matter, but I no longer do. If you can’t fully accept this characterization, recent events surrounding the leak of the Supreme Court draft opinion overturning Roe v. Wade, should unshutter your eyes and let in the light. Democratic leaders are encouraging lawless, threatening behavior against Supreme Court justices, and their attorney general refuses to enforce the law against such behavior. This criminal organization has a huge public relations outfit working around the clock for it, the Major Media, which is why you may have missed this.

It’s hard to ignore the fact that the leaders of the party are openly inciting violence in an effort to force the Court to decide cases based on fear of the mob, instead of the law. In May, pro-abortionists began illegal parades around justices’ homes as the draft opinion of Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization was leaked. Attorney General Merrick Garland did not one thing to enforce the applicable federal law by arresting the protestors. In a bipartisan display of concern, the Senate passed a bill to extend around-the clock security protection to the justices’ families. The House Democrats have refused to sign on.

Not one single Democratic leader has spoken out in opposition to the terroristic actions against the Court.

Worse, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer clearly incited this threatening behavior, telling the crowd assembled outside the Supreme Court, “I want to tell you Gorsuch. I want to tell you Kavanaugh. You have released the whirlwind, and you will pay the price.” That clear threat also violated federal law, but don’t hold your breath for Garland to do anything, or Schumer to retract it, or any Democrat to criticize his intemperate statement. Chief Justice John Roberts condemned the statement as dangerous, to which Schumer replied he was “misinterpreted,” that he meant Republicans would suffer, though it would take a skilled gymnast to maneuver a twist like that. And I don’t find that explanation persuasive.

Last Wednesday, a heavily armed man (a Glock 17 with two magazines and ammunition, pepper spray, a tactical knife, a hammer, a screwdriver, a crowbar, zip ties, and duct tape, among other gear), Nicholas John Roske, was arrested outside of Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s home, after he approached a U.S. Marshal and expressed his intentions to kill the justice. Roske’s plan was to sneak into the home and he even had specially pad-soled boots to do so without waking the family. Even after this, the protestors have returned to Kavanaugh’s home to demonstrate. Why Kavanaugh? He joined the majority in the Alito draft opinion but apparently the Chief Justice had not yet circulated Kavanaugh’s concurrence, and the hope will be that they can still change his mind. Roske, of course, had a more brutal strategy in mind. Indeed, at least one man who (has since removed it), tweeted that if the conservative justices were assassinated, Biden could nominate and get confirmed new justices more amenable to their way of thinking.

Only a stupid person would cave to such pressure. Do it once, and every highly charged decision would mean more of this. Josh Blackman is right:

…can't fathom why anyone would want to serve on the Supreme Court. To be more precise, I can't fathom why any conservative would want to serve on the Supreme Court. Liberal jurists are feted with honors at every juncture. But conservative jurists are excoriated and personally attacked. I wonder, in hindsight, if Kavanaugh still would have pursued a position on the Supreme Court, knowing what we know now: the first confirmation hearing, baseball tickets, Spartacus, Christine Blasey Ford, Michael Avenatti, Ronan Farrow, the second confirmation hearing, yearbook, beer, Klobuchar, Saturday Night Live, Matt Damon, the Dobbs leak, and now an assassination attempt outside of his home. During this time, Kavanaugh and his family have been dragged through such painful experiences, one after the other. Was it all worth it? And to what end? To swallow the Chief's blue plate special?

So is Professor Glenn Reynolds (Instapundit) who offers his idea of what Kavanaugh should do:

“I’d get in their faces, and add a concurrence naming democratic politicians who have attacked the court and accusing them of fomenting violence against it, and warning that Americans will, perhaps rightly, feel free to start ignoring the Court’s rulings if they feel they are the result of illicit pressure and threats of violence.”

After the attempted assassin was arrested, the domestic thugs continued to harass his wife and children and Justice Amy Coney Barrett’s family as well. The home addresses of these judges and Barrett’s church and children’s’ school were publicized by an outfit called Ruth Sent Us which is coordinating this thuggery. (It’s ironic because in the name of former Justice Ginsburg they are demanding Roe not be overturned when even she conceded the decision had been a mistake.)

John Hinderaker at Powerline Blog offers a compelling explanation for the failure to enforce laws against intimidation of judges:

I can’t think of an alternative explanation of why Merrick Garland and other Democratic Party authorities have failed to enforce laws against demonstrating outside judges’ homes. I can’t think of another explanation of why leaders of the Democratic Party can’t bestir themselves to condemn an assassination attempt. I can’t think of another explanation for why the Washington Post buried news of the attempted murder of Justice Kavanaugh deep in their “local news” section.

Nor can I think of another explanation of why leaders of the Democratic Party haven’t called off “Ruth Sent Us” in the wake of the Kavanaugh assassination attempt. Could they do so? I am pretty sure they could. But let’s find out! Who, exactly, is financing “Ruth Sent Us”? How do those people (or maybe just one person) relate to assassination-inciter Chuck Schumer and the Democratic Party generally?

Inquiring minds want to know. The effort to intimidate or, better yet, assassinate Supreme Court justices didn’t begin with marginal characters like Nicholas Roske, just like the idea of assassinating the House Republican baseball team didn’t originate with James Hodgkinson. The leaders of the Democratic Party are in the dock. Can they defend themselves?

So far, they haven’t even tried. President Biden not only failed to condemn this outrageous behavior, he doubled down on it. In a tongue bath “interview” with Jimmy Kimmel he predicted a “mini-revolution” if the atrocity called Roe v. Wade is overturned by the Supreme Court.

Biden’s eliminationist rhetoric about mini-revolutions came just hours after police arrested a man with a gun and burglar tools in Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s neighborhood. Authorities claim he was determined to murder Kavanaugh. Why? Because in a leaked document, Kavanaugh signed on to overturn Roe. Police also say the man was upset over mass shootings.

Of course, once again, we see disparate justice. Indeed, the force of criminal justice brought harshly to bear on one side -- even for legally protected conduct, while the worst criminal behavior that advances the Democratic party’s interests is ignored. What possible reason could there be for doing this [targeting Justice Barrett’s family] except to hope that radical mobs descend on this school and this church? And what possible reason could there be for that other than to coerce, terrorize, and intimidate a justice of the highest court in the land regarding her expected decision on a case before that court? Where is Merrick Parents Are Domestic Terrorists Garland on this? Right. Nowhere. Parents waiting their turn and then speaking out against public school policy at public-are-welcome school board meetings are the real threat, not these actual lawbreakers whose violations are actually under his jurisdiction.

Here’s the thing, you can bet your last dollar that if the pro-life right were doing the same thing to leftist and left-leaning SCOTUS justices over their opposition to overturning Roe, the full power and fury of the law and federal government would drop on them like Thor’s hammer. They’d rot in jail, every Republican politician from their town dog-catcher to their House rep and senator would be blamed. There would be shrieks of threats to democracy, insurrection, and racism/sexism/insert whatever ism. There would be bills voted on and passed with lightning speed to abridge the Constitutional rights of anti-infanticide proponents, the FBI would be sent out to look for still-boxed Lego sets, and the entire sprawling DHS would fan out sniffing under every rock looking for anyone who doesn’t support abortion until the moment of birth. But it’s the radical left breaking federal law and endangering the lives of SCOTUS justices, their children, and their church members, so it’s just some people doing some things because they are “passionate” about a just cause.

Not satisfied with terrorizing justices and their families, these tyrants are just now plotting to blockade the Supreme Court, ostensibly to prevent the decision from being handed down. If all this is news to you, you can thank the media, which has deliberately hidden it. The Washington Post covered the assassination attempt under Local Crime. As for the New York Times, you’d have to scroll through 16 stories of such significance as the Jurassic Park cast on its home page to find it.

Do you really want to live in a country controlled by thugs? You think there aren’t enough banana republics in the world, and you want to add this country to the crowd?
