I'm going to start posting on sexstories some of the stories posted here the past few months. Now that they've no doubt been read by anyone who would see them here. I'm going to turn off rating and see how that goes.

 

Just finished your 4 part story about Niki growing up with Bill. I have to say it is FANTASTIC! I have read the series 3 times. You are a great writer and I look forward to the continuation of your newest story. Thanks. This is the first post I've ever made so if I screw it up I apologize.

My goodness! I’ve found another writer (Nightwish1910) on SexStories who can actually string words together in a meaningful way and who can spell, punctuate, etc! It makes reading the stories so much more enjoyable.

 

Ha, in the “can’t please everyone category”, there’s “Uncharted”. I think it’s a pretty good story.

Anyway two registered members voted on it. One says I should be a pro writer the other hated it. So +4 and -4, it’s sitting buried at 50%.

 

I feel fortunate as a relatively new author that I posted my first and only two part erotic fiction story about a year ago. I was amazed after having received hundreds of votes for each that they were rated 95 - 96% positive.

I am encouraged by that and have a desire to write at least a third part, but life has kept me very busy. Someday....

I appreciate all the great support from readers.

I read the stories for a few weeks before I decided to join. It's a good replacement for the same old porn vids. I haven't stopped reading since the first one. The whole, join XNXX and then post 6 times, thing was a little daunting. I had to learn how to use this forum, while getting liked and rated, comments, alerts. It takes a while to get used to. For someone who just wants to post a story, FRUSTRATION! sets in. I've only posted 5 stories. I also have one in editing waiting to post. We all know there is a large number of readers doing just what I did... using the stories to get off. They are looking for sex, not story. The positive votes are from the true readers, the negative votes are, well most of them, from the horny person who just didn't get turned on fast enough. I would say the true judgement of your writing, should come from the comments. I don't have any comments, but that just tells me I need to improve.

 

Once I get my new desktop ,plus the headphones, it lets me dictate and it does the grammar punctuation etc. for me.I Have a good mind for fantasy writing but grammar punctuation sentence structure is all over the place.

 

I've found a lot of interesting stories (even if they aren't all good, and what even is, they're at least worth a reader's time a surprising amount) in the Latest Sex Stories section lately. What gets voted to the top isn't the same as what I like, so I skip the Top Rated Last 30 Days section entirely at this point, and gingerly recommend others do the same.

 

Something up with the sexstories site? Fixes maybe? We can hope.

 

Definitely depressing. I've posted 5 stories in the past two weeks and not one is rated high enough to make the top stories list. Also, because they are not radily available they are not getting the views I had normally accumulated. Also, since new stories aren't listed on my author list, people who might give a shot to a new NCfan story don't know they exist.

Soomething is fucked up. May it is that ALL my new stories suck. I had decided to post again over there, convincing myself that having people read them is more important that ratings. But if they aren't being read, what's the point? Time spent writing, editing, running them through grammarly, posting here, formatting, then over there, same thing. For what? Wasting my damn time.

 

I think I agree with someone earlier mentioning that perhaps this site should do away with negative votes, or at least public-facing negative votes a la the YouTube strategy. I posted another part to a story of mine, link below if so desired, and I happened to be present within an hour of when it got published. I publish the story in large chunks, and can confidently say it takes over an hour to read. Five negative votes, sitting at 0%. Was a little disheartening. Still, I need to remember that whatever the reasoning, percentages and votes don't actually reflect how good or liked a story is, not really.

I do suspect that given there are five negative votes within an hour on a story that is certainly not great but not terrible, I'm on the top of somebody's hitlist, but hey. It's the Internet. What can ya do.

Sadly, there are trolls who lay in waiting for new stories so they can quickly down vote them to ensure their stories stay on top. It’s all bullshit. Nothing to stop it other than turn votes off, then you have to deal with those issues of not getting enough reads.

It’s a Catch-22. There is no really good solution.

 

They could fix the damn problem where if someone wanted to read my stories they could find them by clicking on my name.

 

It's an ongoing issues for months that has been explained away at nauseam. If the so-called "powers that be" wanted to fix the problem it would be fixed.

Many, many authors have left because of the "powers that be" have let the "trolls" run amok.
