So, Louie Gohmert admits they made false statements, and then claims no one is allowed to point out why those things are false?

This is what our country and government has become.

If you read Goodbye To All That by Mike Lofgren who was a GOP operative for 30 years that was a planned strategy beginning decades ago. And is why they funded created and organized the right wing false propaganda noise machine which we see here every day.

The number crunchers told Republicans due to the changing demographics they could no longer win free and fair elections preaching the lie of conservatism. So they had to come up with new strategies. And one was voter suppression of course. But the other was to lie lie and lie some more. Use the right wing false propaganda noise machine to pump out a steady stream of lies and literally out shout reality. And they have been incredibly successful at it.

Explosive report claims Mormon leaders knew about child sex abuse in church — and 'let it happen'

    Matthew Chapman
    August 04, 2022

The temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Kensington, Maryland, near Washington, will open its doors to non-members in April for the first time in decades Eva HAMBACH AFP

On Thursday, the Associated Press released a new report alleging that leaders in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints were aware of extensive child sex abuse going on in their congregations — and "let it happen."

In one striking case the report detailed, a parishioner admitted to his bishop that he was sexually abusing his five-year-old daughter. "The bishop, who was also a family physician, followed church policy and called what church officials have dubbed the 'help line' for guidance ... Lawyers for the church, widely known as the Mormon church, who staff the help line around the clock told Bishop John Herrod not to call police or child welfare officials. Instead he kept the abuse secret. 'They said, ‘You absolutely can do nothing,’' Herrod said in a recorded interview with law enforcement."

"The Associated Press has obtained nearly 12,000 pages of sealed records from an unrelated child sex abuse lawsuit against the Mormon church in West Virginia," said the report. "The documents offer the most detailed and comprehensive look yet at the so-called help line Herrod called. Families of survivors who filed the lawsuit said they show it’s part of a system that can easily be misused by church leaders to divert abuse accusations away from law enforcement and instead to church attorneys who may bury the problem, leaving victims in harm’s way."

"William Maledon, an Arizona attorney representing the bishops and the church in a lawsuit filed by three of the Adams’ six children, told the AP last month that the bishops were not required to report the abuse," the report noted. "'These bishops did nothing wrong. They didn’t violate the law, and therefore they can’t be held liable,' he said. Maledon referred to the suit as 'a money grab.'"

IN OTHER NEWS: 'Literally sweating bullets!' Chris Wallace mocks panicked Alex Jones reaction to courtroom bombshells

This report comes amid years of similar investigations and reports into other major Christian denominations, and how they have handled sexual abuse cases.

The Roman Catholic Church, for instance, has for years been accused of covering up cases of priests abusing children, with former Pope Benedict XVI even admitting to have mishandled such a case himself while he was archbishop of Munich, Germany. Meanwhile, the Southern Baptist Convention is dealing with the fallout of a 300-page report on abuse within their churches and efforts by top Baptist leaders to protect people on an internal list of more than 700 known predatory pastors.

Maryland GOP candidates reject campaigning with their party's top state nominee

On Thursday, The Daily Record reported that several Republican candidates in Maryland are refusing to campaign with Dan Cox, the GOP's nominee for governor in the state.

"Republican Allan Kittleman is squaring off against Democrat Howard County Executive Calvin Ball in November. Four years ago, Ball ousted Kittleman, a moderate Republican, in a year that was bad for nearly every incumbent Republican county executive in the state," reported Bryan P. Sears. "'I’ll be doing campaign events actually with Governor Hogan,' said Kittleman when asked if he would be campaigning with Cox ... Kittleman [also] said Thursday, he is not voting for Cox."

Meanwhile, "Harford County Executive Barry Glassman, who is running for comptroller, also said he will not campaign with Cox," the report noted. "The open question of unity and Cox’s hard-right political stances have Democrats dreaming of racking up victories up and down the ticket. Cox would need about one in five Democrats to vote for him to have a chance of winning."

Cox won a bitterly contested primary against Kelly Schulz, the preferred candidate of outgoing Republican Gov. Larry Hogan, who himself has sharply criticized Cox and accused former President Donald Trump of "colluding with Democrats" to get him the nomination — a reference to an ad by the Democratic Governors Association that some claim was a deliberate effort to make Cox look more appealing to Trump voters and get him selected to make the race easier for Democrats to win.

A far-right state delegate who previously led a short-lived effort to impeach Hogan for instituting public health measures around COVID-19, Cox was present at the January 6 "Stop the Steal" rally that preceded the attack on the U.S. Capitol, and has called former Vice President Mike Pence a "traitor" for not throwing out President Joe Biden's votes and declaring Trump the winner. He also gave a speech at a rally for supporters of the QAnon conspiracy theory.

Cox's Democratic opponent is Wes Moore, a bestselling author supported by Oprah Winfrey.

The only difference between the Taliban in Afghanistan and treasonous conservative/America Hating/Republicans is the God they pray to. Other than that from posing with their assault weapons to demanding Sharia Law For Christians and threatening civil war if they don't get there way there is no difference.

And all this was on clear display at the CPAC convention where Hungarian strong man Viktor Orbán got standing ovations railing against race mixing, same sex marriage, and of course an independent free press.

After Trump, Christian nationalist ideas are going mainstream – despite a history of violence

Samuel Perry, Associate Professor, Baylor University
    Fri, August 5, 2022 at 6:12 AM·5 min read

In the run-up to the U.S. midterm elections, some politicians continue to ride the wave of what’s known as “Christian nationalism” in ways that are increasingly vocal and direct.

GOP Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, a far-right Donald Trump loyalist from Georgia, told an interviewer on July 23, 2022, that the Republican Party “need to be the party of nationalism. And I’m a Christian, and I say it proudly, we should be Christian nationalists.”

Similarly, Rep. Lauren Boebert, a Republican from Colorado, recently said, “The church is supposed to direct the government. The government is not supposed to direct the church.” Boebert called the separation of church and state “junk.”

Many Christian nationalists repeat conservative activist David Barton’s argument that the Founding Fathers did not intend to keep religion out of government.

As a scholar of racism and communication who has written about white nationalism during the Trump presidency, I find the amplification of Christian nationalism unsurprising. Christian nationalism is prevalent among Trump supporters, as religion scholars Andrew Whitehead and Samuel L. Perry argue in their book “Taking Back America for God.”

Perry and Whitehead describe the Christian nationalist movement as being “as ethnic and political as it is religious,” noting that it relies on the assumption of white supremacy. Christian nationalism combines belief in a particular form of Christianity with nativist and populist political platforms. American Christian nationalism is a worldview based on the belief that America is superior to other countries, and that that superiority is divinely established. In this mindset, only Christians are true Americans.

Parts of the movement fit into a broader right-wing extremist history of violence, which has been on the rise over the past few decades and was particularly on display during the Capitol attack on Jan. 6, 2021.

The vast majority of Christian nationalists never engage in violence. Nonetheless, Christian nationalist thinking suggests that unless Christians control the state, the state will suppress Christianity.

    From siege to militia buildup
Violence perpetrated by Christian nationalists has manifested in two primary ways in recent decades. The first is through their involvement in militia groups; the second is seen in attacks on abortion providers.

The catalyst for the growth of militia activity among contemporary Christian nationalists stems from two events: the 1992 Ruby Ridge standoff and the 1993 siege at Waco.

At Ruby Ridge, former Army Green Beret Randy Weaver engaged federal law enforcement in an 11-day standoff at his rural Idaho cabin over charges relating to the sale of sawed-off shotguns to an ATF informant investigating Aryan Nation white supremacist militia meetings.

Weaver ascribed to the Christian Identity movement, which emphasizes adherence to Old Testament laws and white supremacy. Christian Identity members believe in the application of the death penalty for adultery and LBGTQ relationships in accordance with their reading of some biblical passages.

During the standoff, Weaver’s wife and teenage son were shot and killed before he surrendered to federal authorities.

In the Waco siege a year later, cult leader David Koresh and his followers entered a standoff with federal law enforcement at the group’s Texas compound, once again concerning weapons charges. After a 51-day standoff, federal law enforcement laid siege to the compound. A fire took hold at the compound in disputed circumstances, leading to the deaths of 76 people, including Koresh.

The two events spurred a nationwide militia buildup. As sociologist Erin Kania argues: “Ruby Ridge and Waco confrontations drove some citizens to strengthen their belief that the government was overstepping the parameters of its authority. … Because this view is one of the founding ideologies of the American Militia Movement, it makes sense that interest and membership in the movement would sharply increase following these standoffs between government and nonconformists.”

Distrust of the government blended with strains of Christian fundamentalism have brought together two groups with formerly disparate goals.

    Christian nationalism and violence
Christian fundamentalists and white supremacist militia groups both figured themselves as targeted by the government in the aftermath of the standoffs at Ruby Ridge and Waco. As scholar of religion Ann Burlein argues, “Both the Christian right and right-wing white supremacist groups aspire to overcome a culture they perceive as hostile to the white middle class, families, and heterosexuality.”

Significantly, in 1995, Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh and accomplice Terry Nichols cited revenge for the Waco siege as a motive for the bombing of the Alfred Murrah federal building. The terrorist act killed 168 people and injured hundreds more.

Since 1993, at least 11 people have been murdered in attacks on abortion clinics in cities across the U.S., and there have been numerous other plots.

They have involved people like the Rev. Michael Bray, who attacked multiple abortion clinics. Bray was the spokesman for Paul Hill, a Christian Identity adherent who murdered physician John Britton and his bodyguard James Barrett in 1994 outside of a Florida abortion clinic.

In yet another case, Eric Rudolph bombed the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. In his confession, he cited his opposition to abortion and anti-LGBTQ views as motivation to bomb Olympic Square.

These men cited their involvement with the Christian Identity movement in their trials as motivation for engaging in violence.

    Mainstreaming Christian nationalist ideas
The presence of Christian nationalist ideas in recent political campaigns is concerning, given its ties to violence and white supremacy.

Trump and his advisers helped to mainstream such rhetoric with events like his photo op with a Bible in Lafayette Square in Washington following the violent dispersal of protesters, and making a show of pastors laying hands on him. But that legacy continues beyond his administration.

Candidates like Doug Mastriano, the Republican gubernatorial candidate in Pennsylvania who attended the Jan. 6 Trump rally, are now using the same messages.

In some states, such as Texas and Montana, hefty funding for far-right Christian candidates has helped put Christian nationalist ideas in the mainstream.

Blending politics and religion is not necessarily a recipe for Christian nationalism, nor is Christian nationalism a recipe for political violence. At times, however, Christian nationalist ideas can serve as a prelude.

'No divorcing' the GOP from 'disgusting' racism and fascism after Orban's CPAC display: former party operative

On Friday's edition of MSNBC's "The Beat," Kurt Bardella — a former GOP operative and Breitbart staffer turned Democratic adviser — laid into Republicans at CPAC in Dallas for cheering on speakers openly promoting Christian nationalism and the erosion of democracy.

One of the key moments from that gathering was a speech delivered by Viktor Orbán, the strongman prime minister of Hungary.

"What is that disgusting display by someone like Viktor Orbán, on domestic U.S. soil, telling you about the GOP?" asked anchor Katie Phang.

"What you are seeing, Katie, is the Republican Party wrap their arms around autocratic white nationalist ideals and cementing that as the platform of the party going forward," said Bardella. "Make no mistake about it right now, there is no divorcing the Republican Party from racism. Every single candidate that is on the ballot with an R next to their name in November, you own this. Your refusal to speak out against it, your participation in it, the fact that you cater and pander to the audience at CPAC that is cheering on these very dangerous and disgusting ideals. You own this."

Bardella continued on, condemning Republican silence as complicity.

READ: Anne Heche ‘expected to live’ after suffering severe burns in car crash: report

"It would not be hard for any member of the Republican Party to denounce what we're hearing right now," said Bardella. "Things that are repulsive, repugnant, have no place in the 21st century. Yet they're not going to do that. They're going to hide. They're going to embrace. They're going to high-five. They're going to cheer it on. Because to them, the white America that we're hearing these speakers talk about is exactly what they want to do to this country, they're not trying to hide it. They've basically taken off their hoods and exposed themselves for what they are."

Traitor Trump has what some call "Banana Republic" i.e. Shit Hole country approval rating among treasonous conservative/America Hating/Republicans. And that is what they want. An all white Christian Nationalist co0untry run by a tin horn dictator so the American Taliban can persecute everyone else according to Sharia Law For Christians.

And aside from Traitor Trump preaching straight out of the Nazi playbook one of the more interesting aspects is Traitor Trump's constant use of psychological projection where he falsely accuses others of what he is actually guilty of. So whatever he says the opposite is the truth. And just think about that going through this. It is very telling.

Trump rambles for 108 minutes in CPAC speech filled with 'unapologetic fascism': report

    Bob Brigham
    August 06, 2022

Former President Donald Trump spoke for nearly two hours in his closing address at the CPAC summit in Dallas.

In Trump's view, America has been destroyed in the 18 months since he left office, with out-of-control crime, inflation, and oddly enough unemployment, which Trump estimates to be three times the official number.

Trump took the stage to the song "God Bless the USA" and began by thanking the "proud patriots" in attendance.

Trump said he was proud to be joined by Rep. Ronnie Jackson (R-TX), who was his White House surgeon.

"He was an admiral, a doctor, and now he's a congressman," Trump noted, saying he asked him which was the best.

"And he sort of indicated doctor, because he loved to look at my body. It was so strong and powerful," Trump said.

Trump then introduced Reps. Matt Gaetz (R-FL), Lauren Boebert (R-CO), and Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA).

"This is no time for complacency," Trump warned. "We have to seize this opportunity to deal with the radical left socialist lunatic fascists. We have to hit them very, very hard. It has to be a crippling defeat."

He went on to complain about Sens. Joe Manchin (D-WV) and Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ) for supporting the Inflation Reduction Act, which passed a procedural vote after Vice President Kamala Harris cast the tie-breaking vote while Trump was speaking, resulting in harsh words for GOP Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY).

"But McConnell is the most unpopular politician in the country, even more so than crazy Nancy Pelosi, and something has to be done," Trump urged.

Trump said Biden "surrendered our strength and our everything [in Afghanistan], they surrendered our dignity."

Michael Hardy, senior editor at the Texas Monthly, was one of the local journalists covering the speech. He said that line had "echoes of the Nazi 'stab in the back theory' of losing WW1."

Trump then described crime in "Democrat-run (sic) cities" in very dark terms.

"The streets of our Democrat-run cities are drenched in the blood of innocent victims," Trump claimed. "Bullets are killing little beautiful little children who never had a chance. Car jackers lay in wait like predators."

Hardy described that as "some literal blood-and-soil rhetoric."

And Trump went on saying "we need to courage to say what needs to be said and do what needs to be done," which Hardy said "is a rallying cry for street violence and worse."

Trump went on to call for a military takeover of San Francisco, New York, Chicago, and Portland.

"Trump's rhetoric is significantly more extreme than even a few years ago," Hardy said. "This might be most frightening speech I've ever heard. Full-on, unapologetic fascism. Trump has either been reading Mein Kampf or having someone read it to him."

Trump repeated his lies about election fraud and teased a 2024 presidential comeback.

Former RNC official Tim Miller said, "I know everyone in the DC GOP is just hoping Trump will die but it’s impossible to watch this CPAC speech and not come to the conclusion that he’s going to run and be very hard to beat in a primary. Sorry to be the bearer of bad weekend news."

After his speech, Trump danced on stage to the song "Hold On I'm Coming" by Sam and Dave.

"Don't you ever feel sad; lean on me when times are bad," Sam and Dave sang. "Then the day comes and you're down; in a river of trouble and about to drown. Just hold on, I'm coming. Hold on, I'm coming."

hey american hater, couple of thoughts
    1) You forgot to accuse Trump of being racist. Or sexist. Getting old?
    2) this; "Traitor Trump has what some call "Banana Republic" i.e. Shit Hole country approval rating among treasonous conservative/America Hating/Republicans." is chickenshit even for you. Those are your terms and your labels for America. Own it, coward.

I find it quite remarkable that Libs like @stumbles, @Anon and @thinskin hate Trump so much despite the fact that he’s charming, funny, gives good quips, and people want to be around him. He’s likable in the same way Barack Obama and George W. Bush were before him, and in a way that Biden can never be. Trump's humor is almost criminally underrated, mostly because people blinded by implacable hate tend not to laugh – talking to you here, @stumbles. Trump has the timing of a comedian and the self-awareness to know which lines land right side up and which fall flat.

But we've seen time and time again that the haters have none of this self-awareness. Their stomachs filled with the acid of America-hating politics, we find these humorless scolds and fearful holy rollers ranting on corners with sandwich boards screeching, “The end is here....or maybe it will be soon! Get right with the Lord in any case and abandon Trump!”

These folks, all experts on everything from J6 to Russia Collusion to Trump's bankruptcies (just ask them), enthusiastically supported the senile Joe Biden for president and the loathsome Kamala for VP. Now, faced with the Biden administration's insurmountable inadequacies and his almost certain criminal behavior, all they can do is continue attacking Trump rather than defend their appointed loser. But that's not surprising because before Biden, they supported Hillary Clinton, even talking themselves into ignoring all her criminal acts. Prior to that, it was the street organizer, novice politician Obama.

And all through this, they've lapped up the lies and misinformation and soul destroying opinions of the corporate media, this despite the proven lies the media has been feeding them about Trump, and conservatives, for well over five years.

Clearly, voting for a Democrat isn't the answer to addressing the staggering issues facing the country. The number of crisis issues in this country is at an all time high created by one guy who can't spell intelligence. The collapsed border, record amounts of drugs pouring into the country, road deaths up 18.1%, attacks in schools and on airplanes at an all time high, abysmally failed foreign policy, black crime surging, looting crisis in blue, democratic-run cities, hundreds of thousands of unvetted illegals invading America, public health crisis, Afghanistan debacle, major supply shortages, American’s left behind in Afghanistan, near 100,000 Afghan refugees and 50,000 Haitians to be spread around the country with the illegals, many having diseases and who are not being vetted for terrorist ties, inflation running at 10%+, the prospect of trillions of dollars of new taxes on a shrinking middle class already struggling to survive, lack of energy independence, school kids not getting lunch and babies missing formula due to supply shortage, kids being taught CRT, parents being called “domestic terrorists,” companies can't get employees and many small businesses are closing, and warnings from top Generals about the prospect of more 9/11's.

Democrats really have progressed in their desire to transform America.

'We are the Republican Party': Alex Jones says he was 'buoyed' by GOP during Sandy Hook trial

Conspiracy theorist Alex Jones expressed gratitude to the Republican Party for "buoying" him during his recent Sandy Hook defamation trial.

"I've seen rigged courts," Jones said on his Monday broadcast. "I've seen them order me to give them money that I don't have."

The embattled host claimed that the trial had been "actually invigorating and buoying" because "thousands" of "prominent people" like Steve Bannon spoke out in his defense.

"And I have really seen the Republican Party go from us with an insurrection -- not the one on Jan. 6 but the peaceful insurrection to take over the Republican Party five, six years ago to now we are the Republican Party and our populist movement is winning!" Jones declared.

Lawsuits Describe Project Veritas as Booze and Drug-Fueled, Accuse James O’Keefe of Wanting to Hire ‘Pretty Young Things’ for Undercover Dates

Project Veritas, the far-right activist group founded by James O’Keefe in 2010, is facing two lawsuits from a former employee alleging a “highly sexualized” work culture where “daytime drinking and drug use were common,” reported the New York Times on Monday.

The allegations are laid out in two separate legal filings against the group by former employee Antonietta Zappier.

“This suit is brought, in part, to remedy Plaintiff’s two and a half years of work in a sexually hostile work environment, which ended after she was sexually assaulted and sexually harassed by PV’s Field Director, Michael Spadone,” reads the legal filing, which adds, “and to remedy the fact that she was terminated by PV and Spadone because she rejected Spadone’s entreaties to spend the weekend with him at his home for a sexual liaison.”

Project Veritas “has for years sought to embarrass political opponents and members of media organizations by surreptitiously recording them and publicizing their private communications,” notes the Times.

The group has been accused of deceptively editing footage and entrapping the subjects of its clips. The group recently was forced to pay Stanford University’s $150,000 legal fees after a judge tossed the group’s defamation lawsuit against the university.

Project Veritas is under federal investigation for allegedly stealing a diary belonging to Ashley Biden, President Biden’s daughter. The group has denied any wrongdoing.

The Times notes that Zappier’s lawsuits allege “drinking and drug use were ‘rampant’ within Project Veritas and that supervisors were sexually involved with subordinates.” The filings document that workers regularly worked additional hours without pay and that the organization kept a corporate apartment that was used “used like a ‘frat house’ for drinking, sex, and parties.”

Zappier specifically details how Spadone regularly commented on her appearance and would greet her by saying, “Hey, gorgeous.” The suit alleges that on Dec. 17, 2021, “a sweaty and intoxicated Mr. Spadone grabbed Ms. Zappier while she was on a dance floor, wrapped her in a bear hug and began to kiss her,” according to a summary in the Times.

Additionally, the suit details Zappier’s time working closely with O’Keefe. Zappier alleges:

O’Keefe gave instructions to flag private messages on his social media account from attractive women so he could respond to them personally; that he wanted young, attractive female operatives he referred to as “pretty young things” or “PYTs” to be hired to go on undercover dates; and that he mandated that the group’s operatives review copies of the book and movie “Red Sparrow,” about a Russian intelligence agent trained in “sexpionage.”

Zappier’s lawsuits were filed some two months after Project Veritas filed its own suit against Zappier and her husband, Vincent Zappier, alleging she broke the terms of her separation agreement and Vincent was harassing the group’s employees.

A convicted Capitol rioter spent the day in a prop cell at the Conservative Political Action Conference during a performance aimed at highlighting the "mistreatment" of those jailed after storming the Capitol on Jan. 6.

His tearful performance ultimately drew the eyes — and prayers — of Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene.

The conservative activist, dressed in an orange prison jumpsuit and MAGA hat inside of a prop cell, spent the day in character, weeping and tallying days on a chalkboard set up within the performance space.

WUSA reporter Jordan Fischer identified the man as Brandon Straka, founder of the #WalkAway Foundation, which encouraged liberal voters to abandon the Democratic party and vote for Trump. Straka pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of Engaging in Disorderly and Disruptive Conduct in the Capitol Building or Grounds during the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol, receiving 90 days home confinement and three years probation, but avoided jail time, NPR reported.

Straka said in a statement to Insider that the purpose of the performance was to highlight "the pain and suffering that has resulted from the division that exists among the American people," but he "does not endorse or condone the behavior of anybody who committed crimes on January 6th."

He added that his hope was to "encourage all Americans to let go of hatred and animosity and begin to see the humanity in one another again, and have compassion for one another."

The freelance reporter who tweeted the video, Laura Jedeed, explained that viewers were able to wear a "silent disco headset" and listen to the testimony of January 6 defendants during their trials.

"It's tragic how many January 6 defendants were treated in jail," Alex Pfeiffer, a spokesperson for CPAC, told Insider in an emailed statement.

Georgia Rep. Greene came across the performance Friday and entered the eight-foot cage, kneeling beside Straka to join him in prayer. The Daily Mail reported a large cheer erupted from the crowd when the representative joined the performance.

"She prayed with me for our nation," Straka told the Daily Mail. "Both sides of the aisle for all people and no, I thought it was a really beautiful, special moment."

Not everyone saw the performance as moving: Joe Walsh, a former Republican and Illinois representative called the exhibit "crazy." He said the performance meant "everybody at CPAC, they don't believe January 6 was a big deal or a bad thing."

"My former political party is fully anti-democracy," Walsh added.

Representatives for Greene did not immediately respond to Insider's request for comment.

This sort of blatantly manipulative performative art is repugnant, no matter who does it.
Both sides do it because it's effective.
Remember AOC, walking around with her "air" handcuffs after being arrested?
All many will remember is photos of her walking, looking like she was handcuffed as she was escorted away by the police.
      Just stop it.

'Cult of MAGA-ism is rotting brains' as GOP remains fixated on JFK Jr: Jordan Klepper

Trump supporter / The Daily Show screengrab.

Donald Trump's most passionate supporters are living in "different realities" as cult-like delusions like QAnon and election denialism rot the brains of everyone involved, according to The Daily Show's Jordan Klepper.

Klepper was interviewed by CNN's Jim Acosta after his most recent report on Trump supporters at a rally in Wisconsin.

Acosta played a clip of a Trump supporter claiming that the 2006 Robin Williams movie "Man of the Year" proves election fraud. The movie is not a documentary, but a comedy. IMDB describes the premise as "a comedian who hosts a news satire program decides to run for president, and a computerized voting machine malfunction gets him elected."

Another Trump supporter said 9/11 was an inside job and claimed John F. Kennedy, Jr. was still alive and would expose "globalists."

Klepper described what he thought he would learn from covering the rally. "I have to wonder whether you rank some of these conspiracy theories... like this was the best, this was the second best. I suppose it would happen by the day that you would do this sort of ranking. But, i mean, it's just remarkable what folks come up with."

"I will say, for this piece we went out talking about issues for the midterms, we thought we were going to get reactions on the overturning of the Roe vs. Wade and people were jumping down our throats talking about JFK, Jr., — not just one person, multiple people, everyone we came up to," Klepper said.

"It is shocking to us, this cult of MAGA-ism is melting brains, full stop," he explained." "And you talk to people and you realize when you normalize the idea that a dead dictator is affecting our elections, people's brains get thirsty, they start looking for other ideas, and suddenly they resurrect the dead child of a former president and so suddenly you're amidst these say seances of political ideas coming out of sheer boredom."

'Bring back Aunt Jemima!' Trump supporters rally outside his NJ golf club after FBI search

Supporters of Donald Trump showed up at Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, New Jersey on Sunday to support the former president after his Mar-a-Lago estate was searched by the FBI.

Photojournalist Karla Coté shared scenes from the rally on Twitter.

Video clips showed a party-like atmosphere, with most of the demonstrators holding signs and flags.

"May Pres. Trump, family, be surrounded by the full armor of God," one sign read. "May no weapon formed against them prosper, but boomerang against the offenders. In Jesus name. Amen."

Other signs hinted at pedophilia conspiracy theories that have been promoted by QAnon.

Trump-loving Arizona secretary of state candidate posted about stockpiling ammo while keeping a 'treason watch list'

Mark Finchem, the Oath Keeper-allied Republican nominee to be Arizona's next secretary of state, made inflammatory social media posts about stockpiling ammunition and keeping a "Treason Watch List."

CNN reports that Finchem's account on Pinterest featured a "'Treason Watch List,' and pins of photos of Barack Obama alongside imagery of a man clad in Nazi attire making a Nazi salute."

Other of Finchem's Pinterest posts compared "Democrats to Nazis" while "invoking the Holocaust to argue against gun control, along with posts calling for stockpiling ammunition."

Another Finchem post warned followers that any "war in America" would have "no rules of engagement."

Finchem also posted material claiming that the Mexican army would soon be invading the United States and that Islamic Sharia law would soon overtake the United States.

And if Finchem's Pinterest posts weren't inflammatory enough, CNN also uncovered a series of posts from a since-deleted Twitter account.

"On Twitter, he shared conspiracies that multiple ships docked at a Virginia naval station might be a target for a second Pearl Harbor-type attack," CNN reports. "He said Satan ruled the United States and said gun ownership should be mandatory. In one post, he called for the impeachment of Obama, who was then President, for letting his daughter go on vacation in Mexico."

Ban Gay Marriage, Deport Dreamers: Doug Mastriano’s Extreme Views Caught on Tape

No one would mistake Doug Mastriano — the Trump-endorsed candidate for governor in Pennsylvania — for a moderate. He tried to overturn Joe Biden’s 2020 election victory, participated in the events of Jan. 6 (where he was slated to be a speaker), and has endorsed a no-exceptions abortion ban, dismissing the notion of “my body, my choice” as “ridiculous nonsense.”

But in a radio interview in 2018, the former Army colonel let the mask slip all the way down, revealing himself as an extremist who would block equality for LGBTQ+ couples, who denies global warming, and who believes Islam is “not compatible” with the United States Constitution.

Mastriano made the extreme remarks during an interview in February 2018, as he announced a campaign for U.S. Congress. Mastriano spoke to hosts for WEEO News Talk 103.7, a conservative FM channel with a studio in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, near the Maryland border.

After Mastriano declared himself a House candidate, the hosts asked a series of rapid-fire questions, beginning with: Is global warming is real?

“It is not,” Mastriano insisted. “It’s fake science. And it’s a racket at the academic level.”

The hosts asked Mastrianio if gay marriage should be legal. “Absolutely not,” he answered, citing the Old Testament. “I’m for traditional marriage. And I am not a hater for saying that. It’s been like that for 6,000 years,” he said, invoking the Bible: “It was the first institution founded by God in Genesis, and it needs to stay that way.”

The hosts also asked Mastriano if same-sex couples should be able to adopt children. “No,” he replied. And Mastriano was even more adamant when asked whether gender identity should be added to the nation’s anti-discrimination laws. “Absolutely not,” he insisted. “That’s madness.”

The hosts then asked the former Army officer, who served in Iraq and Afghanistan, “Is Islam compatible with the Constitution?”

Mastriano replied without hesitation: “It is not.” He insisted that “the Constitution was founded on Christian Judeo ideas and it’s only compatible with that worldview.” Doubling down on his denigration of Islam, Mastriano added, “Guess what? Not all religions are created equal.”

This declaration is particularly alarming in the context of the 2022 election, because Mastriano is running for statewide office on the same ballot as Republican Mehmet “Dr.” Oz, the first Muslim from either party to be nominated for U.S. Senate.

Earlier in the same interview, Mastriano sounded off at length about DACA recipients — also known as “Dreamers” — who were brought to America as undocumented immigrants by their parents. Mastriano argued that these young immigrants are “illegal and they shouldn’t be here.” He insisted that they should not only be disqualified from citizenship, but, ”They need to go back home.” Mastriano suggested these young immigrants were harming U.S. citizens. “What about the American dreamers?” he asked. “What about our people?”

The interviewers did not ask Mastriano whom he counted as “our people.”

Mastriano even said he’d be open to law enforcement rounding these immigrants up. “My Democrat friends will take it to the extreme: ‘Oh, you’re gonna pick people up off the roads,’” Mastriano said, adding darkly, “You know what? Maybe.”

Mastriano’s 2018 congressional bid flamed out only a few months after this interview. He finished fourth in the crowded GOP primary. Rolling Stone reached out to Mastriano by email last week, asking if his views on these subjects have evolved. He did not respond.

Mastriano’s remarks on gay adoption were previously highlighted by the Washington Blade, and NBC News highlighted Mastriano’s belief that Islam was not “created equal.” But the full scope of his controversial comments have not previously been reported. In the rapid-fire questioning, Mastriano also blasted the prospect of legal marijuana in Pennsylvania, insisting “I’m against it.”

Mastriano continues to run on a far-right platform. He returned to the same radio show last week to denounce his Democratic opponent Josh Shapiro as a radical for supporting gender inclusivity in Pennsylvania’s public schools. “Josh Shapiro thinks it’s OK to add gender confusion to our little kids in school,” Mastriano said. “They want you to pick your pronouns. Are you kidding me? Stop this.” Mastriano described the Democrat’s position as “It’s OK for your kids to be sexualized in the classroom — that’s Josh Shapiro, that’s the extremist.”

Mastriano will be campaigning this week with Florida’s far-right governor, Ron DeSantis, whom Mastriano praises as an example of “how a governor can do it right.” Mastriano insisted he wants to model himself after the authoritarian Floridian. “If you want to have a Ron DeSantis in Pennsylvania,” he said, “I’m your guy.”

No room for empathy or compromise.

This is particularly just hilarious coming from you and treasonous conservative/America Hating/Republicans in general.

All you do is personally attack just like Trump and the treasonous conservative/America Hating/Republicans. With attacks on the FBI just the latest example that is in the headlines right now.
