And what's the point of pointing to cases of right wing violence when it would only result in name calling? You guys aren't interested in reality, so why bother?

As always try to lie, deflect, distract, and avoid the obvious. Treasonous conservative/America Hating/Republicans are screaming DEFUND the FBI/Police because they dared enforce the laws against Trump.

    @Scotchlass

All you are doing is proving your partisan treasonous conservative/America Hating/Republican hypocrisy. Is the FBI the police when they are arresting terrorists? Is the FBI the police when they are arresting child pornography rings? Is the FBI the police when they are arresting human traffickers? Is the FBI the police when they are arresting bank robbers and kidnappers? Is the FBI the police when they are arresting America's most wanted?

Of course they are an constantly work hand in hand with the largest police forces in the country down to the smallest.

But you are trying to split hairs here and deny the FBI are police for one reason and one reason only. The FBI dared to enforce the laws against your cult leader Traitor Trump which you believe is above all laws, the Constitution, and even national security.

And you are advocating DEFUNDING the most premier law enforcement agency in the world simply because they and the DOJ do not believe Traitor Trump is above the law and cannot be touched.

    1. Scotchlass
The FBI is definitely law enforcement.

From two months ago. And did the try to kill any FBI agents or police officers like the domestic terrorist motivated by Trump and treasonous conservative/America Hating/Republican anti FBI spewing did yesterday?

And let me check something out here. According to you @shootersa and @Scotchlass the FBI is not the police. Only local law enforcement are the police. But what about when a suspect is shooting at them because he tried to attack the FBI. In that instance are they also no longer the police because they are defending the FBI and need to be killed along with FBI agents that should be shot on sight?

Hey american hater, you don't get to put words in Shooters mouth.
And you also don't get to ignore how many people have died in the riots that have been happening around the country, and especially in PORTLAND and the other cities where your heroes attacked Federal employees nightly for months.

Man who fired nail gun at FBI building called for violence on Truth Social in days after Mar-a-Lago search
Ben Collins and Ryan J. Reilly and Jason Abbruzzese and Jonathan Dienst
    Thu, August 11, 2022 at 5:44 PM·3 min read

A man identified by two law enforcement sources as Ricky Shiffer, who died in a confrontation with police after he fired a nail gun at a Cincinnati FBI building, appeared to post online in recent days about his desire to kill FBI agents shortly after former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence was searched.

Two law enforcement officials confirmed Shiffer’s name. Shiffer was at the Capitol riot on Jan. 6, 2021, according to three people aiding law enforcement who saw him in photos taken from the day of the attack; however, it’s unclear whether he went inside the building. Shiffer frequently posted about his attendance at the Capitol on social media.

On Truth Social, a social media platform founded by Trump’s media company, Trump Media & Technology Group, Shiffer appeared to have posted a message detailing his failed attempt to gain entry to the FBI building.

“Well, I thought I had a way through bullet proof glass, and I didn’t. If you don’t hear from me, it is true I tried attacking the F.B.I., and it’ll mean either I was taken off the internet, the F.B.I. got me, or they sent the regular cops while,” the account @RickyWShifferJr wrote at 9:29 a.m. ET, shortly after police allege the shooting occurred.

Shiffer posted to Truth Social multiple times in the days after the FBI searched Trump’s residence in Palm Beach, Florida, about wanting to engage in violence. One post called for people to arm themselves and be ready for “combat.”

“We must not tolerate this one,” he wrote.

Shiffer's Truth Social account, which was seen by NBC News on Thursday evening, has since become unavailable.

After another user responded that his photo and information had been forwarded to the FBI, Shiffer’s account responded: “Bring them on.”

In response to another user who asked whether Shiffer was advocating for terrorism, Shiffer’s account responded that users should kill FBI agents “on sight” and also target a vague list of enemies who try to stop the slayings.

In reply to another user Tuesday, the account responded, “You’re a fool if you think there’s a nonviolent solution.”

On May 7, Shiffer’s account replied to a post by Rep. Marjorie Taylor Green, R-Ga., on Twitter, in which she wrote, “I know they are trying 1984, but I’m feeling 2016 vibes.”

“Congresswoman Greene, they got away with fixing elections in plain sight,” Shiffer’s account wrote. “It’s over. The next step is the one we used in 1775.”

On the same day, responding to a post by Donald Trump Jr. on Twitter imploring users to “Get ready” because “the midterm variant (of COVID-19) is coming and it’s going to be really scary,” referring to conspiracy theories that Covid-19 is manufactured or not dangerous, the account responded, “Do not comply.”

Pro-Trump internet forums erupted with violent threats and calls for civil war in the hours and days after the Mar-a-Lago search, at least one of them from a person who stormed the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021.

Many Republican lawmakers have criticized the Biden administration over the search.

Attorney General Merrick Garland on Thursday called Trump allies’ criticism of the Justice Department “unfounded,” as did FBI Director Christopher Wray, who said Thursday that threats against the FBI “should be deeply concerning to all Americans.”

Trump repeatedly posted to Truth Social after the search, including to insinuate that the FBI had planted evidence.

      Don't push your luck.
We don't know what motivated this asshole to attack.
      But we do know one thing;
Neither you or anyone else can read his mind, not before he went at the FBI and for damn sure, not now.

Oh, and we know a good guy with a gun stopped an asshole with a gun.

They do have some people at Truth Social that know what they are doing because they took his account down just as soon as the domestic terrorist was identified trying to scrub it. But as we know once you put something on the internet they can't really erase it from existence because there are too many eyes on it and it gets saved and published.

      The irony is rich...
@Anon goes to a Left-leaning Media Bias Fact Check organization to check on the bias of a Right-leaning media organization.
Worse, or perhaps sadly might be a better word, he then proudly presents this as if it is meaningful...
I wonder how the Daily Mail would rate the bias of the Media Bias Fact Check organization??

Surprisingly, while visiting the Media Bias Fact Check, I just happened to find their rating of him...
Overall, we rate @anon_de_plume as Far Left Biased and of Questionable Sanity since his posted comments routinely fail numerous fact checks and always show poor information sourcing

We have already been seeing this in lots of the J6 cases. Defendants saying they would not have even been there if they had not believed Trump's lies about the election being stolen. Its actually pretty sad if you have been following the cases. A lot of them were just average Americans that believed Trump's lies and it fucked them up for the rest of their lives.

Republicans 'have blood on their hands': J6 member says Cincinnati gunman is dead because he 'believed the lies'

    e.

Toxic rhetoric by Republicans following an FBI execution of a search warrant at Mar-a-Lago is responsible for the death of the Ohio man who allegedly attacked the FBI field office in Cincinnati, according to a member of the House Select Committee Investigating the Jan. 6 Attack on the U.S. Capitol.

Ricky Shiffer, 42, was reportedly at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6 and an account on Donald Trump's Truth Social website appeared to post between his attack and his final, fatal encounter with law enforcement.

"Well, I thought I had a way through bullet proof glass, and I didn't. If you don't hear from me, it is true I tried attacking the F.B.I., and it'll mean either I was taken off the internet, the F.B.I. got me, or they sent the regular cops while —" the post ended, apparently mid sentence.

The same account posted angry posts on Truth Social the day after the search warrant was executed.

"People, this is it," the account warned. "I hope a call to arms comes from someone better qualified, but if not, this is your call to arms from me. Leave work tomorrow as soon as the gun shop/Army-Navy store/pawn shop opens, get whatever you need to be ready for combat. We must not tolerate this one."

Rep. Stephanie Murphy (D-FL), a member of the select committee, spoke with Raw Story about the impact of the GOP attacks on the FBI.

"What I am worried about is the irresponsible language that elected officials who have a platform are using, that is causing — that caused people to show up here on Jan. 6 and engage in violence against law enforcement officers," Murphy said.

"I am concerned that the same language on the very same channels at the same level, maybe even higher this time, is going to result in people losing their lives," she said.

ALSO IN THE NEWS: Marjorie Taylor Greene rants about Jan. 6 as she announces plans to impeach Merrick Garland

"And we already saw that happen once, with the Cincinnati shouting," Murphy continued. "This person believed the lies that were sold to him by people in positions of power, he acted on it and committed crimes and as a result lost his life."

"I think that elected officials who have a platform also have a responsibility to be careful about their language. And so, perpetrating these lies, they have blood on their hands," Murphy concluded.

Trump and his treasonous conservative/America Hating/Republicans have already gotten one person killed with their lies and false propaganda. And fortunately this time it was just the domestic terrorist that believed the lies instead of FBI agents and/or police. But they will not be satisfied with that. They want the blood of FBI agents and police for daring to enforce the laws against their Chosen One cult leader Traitor Trump.

Republican response to Trump FBI search raises specter of political violence against law enforcement

Death threats and calls for violence against federal law enforcement have surged following the FBI search of former President Donald Trump’s South Florida resort and home, punctuated by an incident Thursday when an armed suspect tried to enter an FBI field office in Ohio.

But Republicans have largely been quiet about the spike of violent threats against law enforcement, despite making support for police a hallmark of their campaigns in response to Black Lives Matter protests against repeated local police shootings of unarmed Black people.

In the immediate aftermath of the search, Trump supporters online, including one extreme-right activist who stormed the Capitol on Jan. 6, talked about being ready to use weapons (“lock and load”) and alleged the country was already in a state of “civil war” — repeating language long used by top cable pundit Tucker Carlson.

In an interview Thursday morning on “Fox & Friends,” longtime anchor Steve Doocy pressed Rep. Steve Scalise, R-La., on why Republicans were not doing more to tamp down threats — some from within their own ranks – against law enforcement.

House Minority Whip Rep. Steve Scalise of Louisiana. (Drew Angerer/Getty Images)
“A lot of agents are receiving specific death threats because there are a lot of people, online and elsewhere, who are demonizing the FBI,” Doocy said, citing attacks from Reps. Paul Gosar, of Arizona, and Marjorie Taylor Greene, of Georgia, extremist members of the House Republican conference. “Whatever happened to the Republicans backing the blue?”

“We’re very strong supporters of law enforcement, and it concerns everybody if you see some agents go rogue,” said Scalise, the second-ranking Republican in the House, who himself was the target of political violence when a gunman aligned with the left shot lawmakers in 2018.

Pressed on who specifically went “rogue,” Scalise said, “We want to find that out.”

And during a press conference Friday of the top House Republicans overseeing the intelligence agencies and national security agencies, Rep. Elise Stefanik, one of Trump’s top allies, blasted federal law enforcement rather than decry the threats against them.

“House Republicans are committed to immediate oversight, accountability and a fulsome investigation ... regarding Joe Biden and his administration’s weaponization of the Department of Justice and FBI against Joe Biden’s political opponent,” the New York Republican said.

Republicans are spurring further violence against law enforcement by toying with conspiracy theories and baseless allegations, said Trygve Olson, an expert on authoritarian tactics and an adviser to the Lincoln Project, a group of current and former Republicans who oppose Trump.

“They are playing with fire in radicalizing people towards the FBI and the rule of law,”
Olson said. “It is a very, very dangerous game. The kind of game that if it were happening in any other country would be setting off five-alarm fire bells at the State Department to speak out.”

In a brief press conference on Thursday, Attorney General Merrick Garland announced that he approved the search warrant and filed to have limited amounts of the search warrant and the findings included in its return released to the public. He then decried the threats of violence sent to himself and others in the wake of Monday’s search.

Attorney General Merrick Garland on Thursday. (Susan Walsh/AP)
“The men and women of the FBI and the Justice Department are dedicated, patriotic public servants every day,” Garland said. “They protect the American people from violent crime, terrorism and other threats to their safety while safeguarding our civil rights. They do so at personal sacrifice and risk to themselves.”

Trump himself has pushed unfounded accusations about the unprecedented search of a former president’s home, and apparently decided not to fight the release of the search details, hours after Garland filed for its release.

Not long after that, Trump rebutted a stunning Washington Post report that the materials he had taken included highly sensitive intelligence about nuclear programs by claiming, without evidence, that the FBI planted the evidence — the same unsubstantiated claim he made at the beginning of the week in fundraising appeals.

VP Kamala Harris Blasts ‘So-Called Leader’ Donald Trump and Allies Over FBI Attacks During Air Force Two Briefing

While briefing reporters aboard Air Force Two, Vice President Kamala Harris blasted former President Donald Trump and his allies for “unacceptable” and “irresponsible” rhetoric after the FBI headquarters in Cincinnati was attacked.

VP Harris took questions aboard the vice-presidential plane before departing Oakland, some of which dealt with the FBI raid at Trump’s Mar-a-lago resort home, the campaign by Trump and many Republicans to baselessly smear the FBI, and the attack on an FBI headquarters in Cincinnati that was carried out by a supporter of Trump — 42-year-old Ricky Shiffer — who was angry about the raid on Mar-a-Lago.

Harris was careful not to comment on the investigation, but when asked, was not shy about condemning “so-called leader” Trump and his allies:

Q I know that you’ve been very busy today, but as a former prosecutor, do you have any reaction to the unsealed search warrant that was served on President Donald Trump?

THE VICE PRESIDENT: Well, as a former prosecutor, I will tell you, I don’t speak about anybody else’s case. But I have full confidence that the Department of Justice will do what the facts and the law requires.

Q How about some of the rhetoric that’s coming out from Trump’s allies? Do you have any reaction to the attempted attack on a FBI field office yesterday?

THE VICE PRESIDENT: I will say, as a former prosecutor, but as a citizen of our nation, any attacks on law enforcement are completely unacceptable. And any so-called leader who engages in rhetoric that in any way suggests that that law enforcement should be exposed to that kind of danger is irresponsible and can result in dangerous activities.

You know, our law enforcement professionals — and, in this case, we’re talking about our federal law enforcement agencies — they do very important work. And from the moment they walk out the door of their home until they go back in, their families pray for their safety and well-being.

And I think it’s just highly irresponsible of anyone who calls themselves a leader and certainly anyone who represents the United States of America to engage in rhetoric for the sake of some political objective that can result in harm to law enforcement officers and agents.

While in California, the vice president spoke at the Chabot Space and Science Center.

Treasonous conservative/America Hating/Republicans want blood. They want FBI agents to be killed, in fact shot on sight if you read Trump's Truth Social. In 2016 the FBI investigations of Hillary Clinton's emails dominated news coverage. FBI director James Comey even announced the investigation had been reopened just 11 days for the election. All that was incredibly damaging to Clinton and along with help from Putin/Russia helped get Trump elected. But you didn't see anyone on the left calling the FBI the Gestapo, calling for violence, shooting FBI agents on sight, and calls for civil war. Both sides are not the same and never have been.

CNN’s Keilar Grills GOP Rep. on Trump Amplifying List of FBI Agents Involved in Mar a Lago Search: ‘How is that Not Encouraging Violence?’
    By Ken MeyerAug 14th, 2022, 11:01 am
    2322 comments

CNN’s Brianna Keilar pressed Congressman Mike Turner (R-OH) for defending Donald Trump despite the former president stoking vitriol against the FBI after the raid on Mar-a-Lago.

The House Intelligence Committee’s ranking Republican spoke to Keilar on State of the Union, where he faced a major interrogation over Trump’s handling of sensitive information, and whether he would scrutinize the former president as he did with Hillary Clinton’s email scandal. As the interview went on, Keilar noted that Truth Social, Trump’s social media substitute, recently issued a push alert for a Breitbart story ID’ing the FBI employees involved in the Mar a Lago search.

The story’s publication comes after an Ohio man attacked an FBI field office in Cincinnati, while Attorney General Merrick Garland and FBI Director Christopher Wray have been condemning increased threats toward federal law enforcement. Keilar acknowledged all of this as she asked Turner, “How is that not encouraging violence against federal law enforcement officers in this climate to identify them?”

Turner dodged the question by saying he and other Republican members of Congress condemned violence toward law enforcement. Keilar repeatedly asked if the former president should do the same, to which Turner answered, “I think always, everyone, should make it very clear that this is not an issue where violence is ever an answer.”

Turner digressed shortly after by demanding Garland “show us the goods” to justify the FBI’s execution of their search warrant. This went on with a back and forth between him and Keilar as the latter pointed out that Breitbart identified the FBI’s agents, and Trump’s social media network chose to promote that to Truth Social users.

    A distinction without a difference.

The whack job extremists on both ends of the political spectrum love to promise violence and retribution. Some of them will take action, unfortunately.

The reality is that extremist whack jobs do not reflect the attitudes or beliefs of the political parties they claim to represent.

The pundits and propagandists not withstanding.

Pence Homeland Security official blasts 'insane' interview with House Intel Republican for 'fueling violence'

    Sarah K. Burris
    August 14, 2022

    Photo: facebook

Speaking to CNN on Sunday, former Homeland Security adviser Olivia Troye said that she was "disgusted" with Rep. Mike Turner (R-OH), who appeared earlier trying to make excuses for Donald Trump amid the scandal that he may have stolen classified documents upon leaving office.

Turner admitted he would never take home classified documents, but maintained that Trump would never take classified documents.

"I watched that interview earlier when it aired today and I have to tell you, I was disgusted with Congressman Turner especially given the fact he is the ranking Republican on the House Intel Committee and the fact that he would show just complete disregard for intelligence and national security documents," said Troye in an interview with Jim Acosta. "It doesn't matter what's in the documents, Jim. What matters is these documents don't belong down in Mar-a-Lago, where there's a bunch of foreigners going in and out of the place and putting potentially national security information at risk. And so that's neither here nor there."

She went on to say that it was "preposterous," Turner would dismiss the documents as unimportant even if they were classified because they were from two years ago.

"That says a lot about what his knowledge must be on the intelligence community because he should know better and understand in many situations, intelligence operations take a decade, if not more than a decade to kind of get into place and takes a long time to develop," Troye explained. "I found the entire interview insane. These are the type of people that are fueling this kind of dangerous sort of narratives, dangerous rhetoric, fueling violence, potentially, political violence across the country as we are seeing it directed at FBI offices today and we're seeing the protests outside of the FBI again."

Is he a one man riot? Out of a country of 350 million people, this is your example of wide spread violence?

The FBI and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) warned in a joint bulletin that there is an increase in threats to federal law enforcement officials following the FBI search at former President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence last week.

In a bulletin dated Friday, the agencies advised that possible threats toward law enforcement are coming from social media sites, web forums, video-sharing platforms and image boards, according to NBC News, citing unidentified sources.

CBS News reported that the bulletin had been sent to local, state and tribal law enforcement nationwide late Friday. ABC News was the first to report the news.

The agencies also warned about a potential “dirty bomb” threat at the FBI headquarters and other threats that called for a “civil war” and an “armed rebellion” in the country, adding that those threats might include specific “targets, tactics, and weaponry.”

The bulletin indicates that DHS has identified “multiple articulated threats and calls for the targeted killing of judicial, law enforcement, and government officials associated with the Palm Beach search, including the federal judge who approved the Palm Beach search warrant.”

It also warned that certain personal information such as addresses and the identification of family members of agents had been shared online.

The joint bulletin also noted that domestic extremists could see the November midterm elections as a time to escalate threats.

The FBI conducted a search at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence last. Authorities obtained 11 sets of classified documents that Trump took from the White House.

Recently, an armed suspect, Ricky Walter Shiffer, was killed by authorities after he attempted to enter the FBI’s Cincinnati field office.

In a statement regarding reports of the special bulletin, the FBI told The Hill that it would continue to work closely with law enforcement to respond to any type of threats.

“The FBI is always concerned about violence and threats of violence to law enforcement, including the men and women of the FBI. We work closely with our law enforcement partners to assess and respond to such threats, which are reprehensible and dangerous,” the agency said. “As always, we would like to remind members of the public that if they observe anything suspicious to report it to law enforcement immediately.”
