Trump supporters have gone to war with law enforcement — and ex-FBI analyst warns it's growing worse

Matt Gaetz and Marjorie Taylor Greene. on Facebook.

After Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago golf club, where he lives, got a visit from the FBI this week looking for a set of classified documents that they thought the former president stole from the White House, his followers have waged war.

The day after the execution of a search warrant, Trump supporters were cataloged online, making threats against the judge who signed the search warrant. They revealed all of his personal information, called for information about his children, began attacking his place of worship and called for his death. That trend has continued as Trump supporters are now going after law enforcement.

Those who once chanted to "back the blue" are now demanding to defund federal law enforcement, doxing FBI agents, finding their children on social media sites. On Thursday, a Trump supporter who appeared at the Capitol on Jan. 6 went after the FBI headquarters in Cincinnati with an AR-15 and a nail gun which he thought would be able to shoot through bulletproof glass. Republican leaders have spent the past several days calling them "dangerous."

Rep. Jeff Duncan (R-SC) wrote on Twitter, “The FBI has proven time and again that it is corrupt to the core. At what point do we abolish the Bureau and start over?”

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) tweeted “DEFUND THE FBI!” and is now selling t-shirts saying as much.

Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) agreed with the defunding language.

“The antidote has to be not one more damn penny for this administrative state that has been weaponized against our people in a very fascist way,” said Gaetz.

Friday the FBI and Department of Homeland Security released a bulletin that warned of Trump supporters seeking to bomb FBI headquarters around the country. They also explained that since the search warrant, there had been a dramatic increase in threats against the FBI.

“The FBI and DHS have observed an increase in threats to federal law enforcement and to a lesser extent other law enforcement and government officials following the FBI’s recent execution of a search warrant in Palm Beach, Florida," the bulletin said.

NBC News reported that the bulletin also says that the threats are happening online and they sent the note out after an abundance of caution

"It calls on authorities to be vigilant and to be aware of issues surrounding domestic violent extremists, past and present incidents, and past behaviors," said the piece.

Speaking to CNN, former FBI senior counter-intelligence analyst Phil Mudd revealed that he hasn't worked for the bureau for over a decade, but even he is being sent threats.

"I think there's a couple of things you need to think about," said Mudd. "The first would be threats to American citizens who happen to be FBI employees. If you look at what happened in Cincinnati and you've seen reports today, of armed individuals outside the office in Phoenix, this is a numbers game, Jim. If politicians start to encourage people to commit acts of violence against the FBI, even if you say, defund the FBI, there is a violent fringe that will say, I want to take action. There might be 100th of 1 percent of the fringe who say, that means I should commit an act of violence."

He went on to explain that the FBI offices are largely open and that they work with the public.

"If 0.001 percent of the population says, 'I need to commit an act of violence the FBI employees are under threat," he said.

Pennsylvania man charged with threats to kill FBI agents after Trump's attacks on law enforcement

Threats against FBI agents and other federal law enforcement have grown even worse Monday a week after a search warrant was executed at former President Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago club. In response, Trump has attacked law enforcement and the FBI, with his followers doxing them and their families.

On Friday, the FBI and Department of Homeland Security published a joint bulletin saying that they've experienced a significant increase in threats against law enforcement. Monday another man was arrested for threats against the FBI.

The Pittsburgh Post Gazette reported Adam Biles was charged with "influencing, impeding or retaliating against federal law officers" as a result of the search warrant on Trump.

"Come and get me you piece of sh*t feds" and "I am going to f*cking slaughter you," were among the comments Bies made on Gab, according to the complaint filed on Monday. He went on to compare the FBI to the Nazi SS and Soviet-era KGB saying that everyone at the FBI all the way down to the janitors should be killed.

IN OTHER NEWS: Trump's latest claims of ‘attorney-client privilege’ are completely bunk – according to a legal expert

"I’ll shoot an SS officer in the head just as quick as I’d shoot a KGB officer in the head," he said in one of his rants. "Keep that in mind. There are plenty of other letters in the alphabet. Police state scum are (sic) police state scum. Period."

"My only goal is to kill more of them before I drop," he wrote Thursday. "I will not spend one second of my life in their custody."

"HEY FEDS. We the people cannot WAIT to water the trees of liberty with your blood. I’ll be waiting for you to kick down my door," he also said.

The day after Bies made his threats another Trump supporter, and man who was at the Capitol on Jan. 6, went to the FBI in Cincinnati with an AR-15 Cincinnati with an AR-15 and nail gun attempting to attack the agents and staff there.

Bies also tagged Gab CEO Andrew Torba when attacking FBI Director Christopher Wray, saying, "I sincerely believe that if you work for the FBI, then you deserve to DIE."

He then alluded to the fact that Gab had an issue with his complaints on the site, noting Gab "just gave me an account warning today for saying that a bunch of child moleseting [expletives] at the FBI should be put down."

So he attacked Torba, telling him to "go ahead and ban me.

Oh, american hater, you have no clue what a cop does or tolerates.

And you've trumpeted enough lies about cops abusing their authority while remaining pointedly silent when cops are killed that you get no air time to criticize anyone.
      Disgusting behavior.

Georgia judge in Trump grand jury case issues secret 'security procedures' — here's why

Fulton County Superior Court Judge Robert C.I. McBurney issued an order over security procedures dealing with the special grand jury examining former President Donald Trump's possible election fraud in Georgia.

According to court documents, McBurney issued the security, but then redacted all of it, ensuring that no one could see what they said and what the security procedures would be.

The moves come after a number of Trump supporters have gone after law enforcement in the wake of the execution of a search warrant at Trump's Mar-a-Lago golf club.

On Thursday, a gunman tried to break into FBI headquarters in Cincinnati, Ohio. At least three people have been arrested after making threats against law enforcement that have been reported thus far.
The FBI and Department of Homeland Security also sent out a bulletin saying that they have observed a dramatic increase in threats against federal law enforcement since the search warrant at Mar-a-Lago.

READ: Details in latest DOJ filing could 'drive Trump to be even more worried’: legal expert

Trump supporters have also posted messages sharing the addresses of the judge who signed the search warrant for Mar-a-Lago and any FBI agents named as well as their families.

It's unclear whether the judge in the Fulton County case was concerned about the safety of the grand jury members in wake of these attacks, but it would be consistent with what is being done for those affiliated in these cases.

Members of this forum ran with the treasonous conservative/America Hating/Republican narrative that threatening Supreme Court Justices is a terrible thing that should not be tolerated. And I happen to agree. But their dangerous hypocrisy just glares like the sun when it comes to threats and violence because they try to ignore and/or deny the vast majority of threats and almost all the violence is coming from treasonous conservative/America Hating/Republicans. And Traitor Trump is fanning the flames trying to get his cult followers to move from just making threats to actually killing people.

Trump’s Site Is Being Weaponized Against the FBI — and Their Families

Former President Donald Trump claims that he “will do whatever” he can to bring down “the temperature” following last week’s FBI’s raid of his Florida home and club, Mar-a-Lago. But even a glimpse of Truth SocialTrump’s social media companyshows that the MAGA website has been a haven for private, doxxed information not only about authorities involved in the federal raid, but also of their families.

A review of Truth Social postings by Rolling Stone shows Trump supporters have spent the past week doxxing both Judge Bruce Reinhart, the magistrate judge who approved the Mar-a-Lago warrant, and an FBI agent involved in preparing the request, as well as their families. The information includes their purported home addresses, phone numbers, places of worship, private offices, and similar information about the men’s families and junior employees.

Rolling Stone has declined to name the FBI agent targeted out of safety concerns. Spokespeople for Truth Social and Trump did not immediately respond to messages seeking comment for this story. Shortly after publication, Truth Social removed posts mentioned in this story containing addresses and contact information for Judge Reinhart and the FBI agent.

Former Trump White House aide Garrett Ziegler posted the name of an FBI agent involved in the preparation of the warrant on Truth Social, as well as the names of his wife and child, their social media accounts, and the school the child attends. Truth Social removed the post by Ziegeler but the verbatim text of the post, complete with contact information for the agent and his family, have spread across Trump’s social media in a series of posts with no apparent attempts at moderation by the company.

When a federal court unsealed the search warrant, the court redacted the names of FBI agents involved. But the names became public when the pro-Trump outlet Breitbart obtained a leaked copy of the warrant and posted an article highlighting the agents’ names. In a move that added fuel to the MAGA doxxing push, Truth Social subsequently issued a push notification to its users that linked out to a third-party news article listing the agents’ names, according to CNN’s Donie O’Sullivan.

Truth Social fans have similarly targeted Judge Reinhart. Immediately after news of the warrant broke, Truth Social filled with calls to doxx the judge. “I bet he didn’t think anybody would leak his name, be nice if we had his address and phone number,” one user wrote. “BRUCE REINHART MAKE HOM [sic] FAMOUS WHATS HIS ADDRESS AND PHONE NUMBER?” bayed another.

Within a day, Truth Social users had already arrived at and posted what they believed to be personal information of both Reinhart and his wife, including posts with addresses and a personal phone number for him. “Office maybe or home,” one Truth Social user wrote next to a south Florida address, adding “GO GET HIM, FLORIDA.”

Another user asked for help to “verify” that the address of a local temple Reinhart attended was correct. (Reinhart’s synagogue has had to cancel services following an outpouring of antisemitic abuse, according to Business Insider.)

Other frequent posts on the platform included work information since removed from the U.S. District Court for Southern District of Florida. The page included a work email and office line for the judge. MAGA supporters on the social media network have giddily shared the email and phone number along with similar work contact information for Judge Reinhart’s courtroom deputy, who helps administer and manage courtroom operations.

While other platforms like Twitter, YouTube, and Facebook prohibit so-called “doxxing” and the posting of third-parties’ personal information, like phone numbers and home addresses, Truth Social’s terms of service contain no specific prohibition of the practice.

The posts follow a wave of threats from Trump supporters and, in one case, violence from a Truth Social user against the FBI. Last week, Ricky Schiffer, an Ohio man under investigation for his alleged involvement in the Jan. 6 insurrection, attempted to break into the FBI’s Cincinnati field office armed with an assault rifle before law-enforcement officials shot him dead. Schiffer posted his plans on Truth Social shortly before the attack, warning, “If you don’t hear from me, it is true I tried attacking the F.B.I., and it’ll mean either I was taken off the internet, the F.B.I. got me, or they sent the regular cops.”

And on Monday afternoon, federal prosecutors announced charges against a Pennsylvania man, Adam Bies, for allegedly posting threats to the far-right social media app Gab. In the posts, Bies allegedly vowed to “slaughter” FBI agents involved in the execution of the Mar-a-Lago warrant and warned that his goal was to “kill more of them before I drop.”

Both FBI director Chris Wray and Attorney General Merrick Garland have issued statements over the past week condemning the outpouring of vitriol and threats against the FBI and Justice Department in the wake of the Mar-a-Lago search warrant.

Publicly, Trump and his prominent Republican Party allies haven’t forcefully condemned the wave of threats, or the violence that has already occured. Following the attack on the FBI building in Cincinnati, which resulted in the Trump-obsessed suspect’s death, the former president remained conspicuously mum on the topic in public. Trump is, however, well aware of what happened. Behind closed doors, according to two people familiar with the matter, the ex-president has in recent days talked about the gunman from a point of concern, saying that it sounded like he was “crazy,” and very upset about what had happened to Trump. At the same time, the former president has also left the door ajar to alternative explanations or conspiracy theories, telling some of those close to him that it might be possible that the shooter was a “psycho” who didn’t even like Trump and wanted to make MAGA supporters look bad.

The former president did not use the following term in the private conversation, but one of the sources familiar with his ramblings on the subject described it to Rolling Stone as a “false-flag theory.”

Truth Social has become a 'haven' of doxxed info against federal officials after Mar-a-Lago raid: reporter

    Matthew Chapman

On MSNBC Tuesday, Rolling Stone political reporter Asawin Suebsaeng explained how former President Donald Trump's social media network is only fanning the flames as Republicans rage against the FBI search warrant executed at Mar-a-Lago to find missing classified documents.

Truth Social, said Suebsaeng, is being used to out the personal information of officials involved in the case — and their families.

"In 2016 we saw the Russians infiltrate our democracy targeting Black voters, and now Trump has engaged in these, you know, essentially Twitter wannabe platforms," said anchor Tiffany Cross. "I'm curious how you think that could be weaponized when it comes to misinformation."

"Well, you mentioned the term 'Twitter wannabe' earlier in terms of what Trump's attempt at building a MAGA social media — it's Truth Social, and at its very best form, currently, it's a Twitter wannabe," said Suebsaeng. "Unfortunately for Trump, nothing more so now in terms of how much of a player it's going to be in terms of radicalization, that depends on how much popularity it's going to gain and right now that's a little bit questionable."

"What we do know, in terms of the level of MAGA-related popularity that it does have, is that in recent days, ever since the FBI raid on Trump's home and private Florida club in Mar-a-Lago, Truth Social had become a haven in the way that other social media platforms and more shall we say mainstream social media platforms had not become for this type of doxxed information on not just the personnel, the magistrate who signed off on this and also their families," said Suebsaeng.

"As you pointed out in the intro, the school that one of the kids went to was bandied about there ... left up for days, and it was to the taken down until we reached out to Truth Social which, again, is under Trump's control since he's the head honcho. He's one of the founders. It's his company. They didn't take it down until after we reached out for comment and until after we published the story last night."

ALSO IN THE NEWS: 'Leverage': Here's why Trump may have refused to return classified documents

"To make sure we weren't being completely unfair, because there are a lot of things that happen on a lot of different social media platforms that aren't necessarily the fault of the people, shall we say, of the people who owned them, we did a quick search on Twitter," added Suebsaeng. "We did a search on Twitter, just a one-on-one comparison between Truth Social and Twitter.com and we couldn't find any of the same doxxed information we were describing earlier about the FBI personnel and their families, so take that for what you will."

Listen: GOP candidate for Congress says Garland should ‘probably’ be ‘executed’ – later claims he was just being ‘facetious’

David Badash, The New Civil Rights Movement
    August 18, 2022

Judge Merrick Garland testifies before a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on his nomination to be US Attorney General (AFP)

New York Republican Carl Paladino, running for a U.S. House seat, said Attorney General Merrick Garland should probably be "executed" in a radio interview this past weekend, and later when pressed backtracked, claiming he was just being "facetious," as The Buffalo News first reported.

"So we have a couple of unelected people who are running our government with an administration of people like Garland," Paladino said in an attack on President Joe Biden in a Saturday interview with the far-right wing Breitbart media site.

Garland "should be not only impeached he should probably, should be executed, the guy is just lost," Paladino said.

Paladino called Garland, a former U.S. Supreme Court nominee and former Chief Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia, a "lost soul" who is "trying to get an image and his image, his methodology is just terrible."

"To raid the home of a former president is just, people are scratching their heads and they're saying, 'What is wrong with this guy?' "

Later in the interview Breitbart Radio host Matthew Boyle asked Paladino, "Carl, what you just said about Garland, you said you think 'he should be impeached and probably executed.' Can you explain that? What do you mean by that?"

"I'm just being facetious," Paladino replied. "The man should be removed from office. He's shows his incompetence. He wants to get his face in front of the people. And in short, he's got some mettle to him, but his choice of issues and his choice of methodology is is is very sad. And then he wants to take full blame for it, you know he'll he'll stand there."

Paladino, who is strongly endorsed by U.S. Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY), the Chair of the House Republican Conference, has a long history of controversial remarks and actions.

Just last month the New York Post reported he "has a convicted sex offender on his company payroll who also now works as 'assistant treasurer' of his campaign."

"Joel Sartori was controller of Ellicott Development when he was busted in 2013 for accessing child porn on a company computer," The Post adds. "Sartori was convicted of two felonies — possessing and promoting kiddie porn — and sentenced to 10 years’ probation in 2017, court records show."

As CNN has reported, Paladino has called Black people "dumb and hungry," claimed they are "conditioned" to only vote for Democrats, while insisting he’s not "a racist." He also said a woman who had accused Donald Trump of sexual assault "probably enjoyed" it.

Stefanik, the third most powerful House Republican, on June 3 praised Paladino as an “inspirational” leader, a “doer,” and “the kind of leader we need today.” That endorsement came just days before it was revealed Paladino in 2021 had called Adolf Hitler “inspirational,” and “the kind of leader we need today” (audio.)

Stefanik later doubled down on her endorsement despite Paladino’s praise for Hitler, a genocidal fascist responsible for the murders of approximately 17 million people.

As CNN also reported, in 2016, “Paladino had said he would like to see Michelle Obama ‘return to being a male and let loose in the outback of Zimbabwe where she lives comfortably in a cave with Maxie, the gorilla,’ and that he hoped Barack Obama would die of Mad Cow Disease after having sex with a cow.”

Now if someone said that about Trump (which someone did), the right would go nutz! Someone did tweet "A former CIA director — and current MSNBC contributor — endorsed the idea today that Donald Trump should be executed. When will left wingers stop with all their violent behavior?"

Exactly when will Trump supporters stop being so violent?

Vice President Mike Pence says attacks against the FBI must stop.

"Calls to defund the FBI are just as wrong as calls to defund the police," Pence said at an event in New Hampshire on Wednesday.

Some high-profile Republicans, including Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, have advocated for defunding the FBI following its raid on former President Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago residence.
