    The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

    I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

      i disagree, i would say it's what style of music you listen to..i listen to Melodic death metal and 90% of it is insane leads and guitar solos. now in rock music today yeah the solo is dead.

    I believe I had noted Stevie Ray Vaughan's First album - and title song 'Texas Flood' - earlier in this thread, but after all his addiction turmoil, he came out the other end with 'In Step' (1989) - his last studio album - aside from 'Family Style' with brother Jimmy - released after his death in the helicopter crash.

    This is my favorite cut from 'In Step', even though 'Crossfire' got the main radio airplay.

      That's a great song - wonderful acoustic work, but it wasn't on 'In Step'. It was released on the most excellent collection of tunes that brother Jimmy oversaw later: 'The Sky is Crying' - which, IMHO beats out several of Stevie's mid-career albums. 'Little Wing' is the killer cut on that album.

      I love all his stuff, such a shame the chance for more was taken. A guy I worked with was at his last show. He was telling me about how great a show it was, that next morning. I worked as an operator in the control, where the radio was always on. About 2 hours into the shift they reported the crash, first saying EC was on the helicopter, but within 20 minutes or so, they confirmed it was SRV, and he did not survive. I got on the radio and had the guy come up to the control room, where he heard what being talked about on the radio. A sad day. I was a bit envious, he got to see him, I have seen hundreds of shows, but never SRV, and knew I now never would. I remember the day very well.

      Yes, Little Wing is a remake. I'm not about to disparage Jimi, but I prefer the SRV version - same with 'Voodoo Child' (or 'Chile' - whichever you prefer).
