Scarborough is of course just being his idiot misinformed self here. Before the Inspector General even made his request a Congressional Committee had already informed the Secret Service to preserve all texts, communications, and documents that pertained to the J6 armed insurrection and attempted coup. And the texts were not "lost." They were permanently deleted in what may be the largest illegal cover up in American History. With the possible exception of the Kennedy assassination.

Scarborough did manage to get two thins right though. This is a massive cover up to try and protect Trump. And everyone knows they are lying.

MSNBC's Joe Scarborough bashed the U.S. Secret Service for losing text messages requested by a Cabinet-level inspector general from Jan. 6, 2021, and the day before.

The Secret Service has determined that data requested by the Department of Homeland Security's inspector general cannot be retrieved after an agency-wide reset of staff telephones starting in mid-January 2021, and the "Morning Joe" host said they were aiding a coverup of Donald Trump's attempt to overthrow the government.

"According to testimony before the [Jan. 6] committee and corroborated by others, Donald Trump lunged and grabbed the steering wheel and lunged at a Secret Service member's neck telling him to take him up to the Capitol, and that was known within Secret Service circles," Scarborough said. "Now, of course, the Trumpers that he put in place in the Secret Service, that politicized the Secret Service was reported, now, they're denying it. As in the past with Donald Trump, everybody knows they're lying, but now we're supposed to think that would we have text messages that would back this up from the Secret Service, we're supposed to think it's a bureaucratic snafu. It doesn't work that way."

"They knew, again, this is like the days after Pearl Harbor, it's like the days after Pearl Harbor, the people running radar are burning all their documents at the base there," Scarborough added. "Nobody would believe that was a bureaucratic snafu. It was the destruction of documents that could help us better understand what unfolded as a president who was defeated at the polls was attempting a fascist takeover of American democracy."

Rachel Maddow sounds the alarm on today's new shocking Jan. 6 revelations

    Sarah K. Burris
    July 25, 2022

MSNBC's Rachel Maddow opened her Monday show by talking about the 1950s activist Gerald L.K. Smith, who promoted Christian Nationalism. It's the same kind of Christian Nationalism that Rep. Marjorie Taylor Green (R-GA) promoted over the weekend and that Doug Mastriano (R-PA) promotes as part of his gubernatorial campaign.

After calling out Mastriano and the latest alliances between the GOP and Christian Nationists, Maddow brought up the revelation that former President Donald Trump's draft of his Jan. 7 speech was part of the House Select Committee's investigation into the Jan. 6 attack on Congress and attempt to overthrow the election.

Rep. Elaine Luria (D-VA) posted a video online that revealed the except and the questions that Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner were asked about it.

Maddow ran the text of the speech along with the video shown last Thursday of Trump rewriting the comments in real time.

"I don't want to say the election is over. I don't want to say the election is over," Trump repeated.

Kushner testified that he was talking with Stephen Miller about remarks to deliver on Jan. 7, and Ivanka Trump said that those conversations began on the evening of Jan. 6. That conflicts considerably with the ABC News reporter Jonathan Karl whose book, Betrayal said that Kushner arrived back in Washington from Saudi Arabia.

"His plane landed at Joint Base Andrews at about four p.m., but he went straight home, later telling people the Secret Service had told him it would be dangerous to go to the White House. He made no public statement about the riot," said Karl's book.

Eric Herschman, former White House senior adviser said that they were discussing the need for a speech on Jan. 7 and then pivot to the transition.

"I sat with her, I spoke to Miller about putting together some remarks for the 7th that we were going to present to the president to try to say, uh, we felt like it was important to further call for de-escalation, " testified Kushner.

READ: Trump-backed candidate attacked as 'agent of the Deep State' by MAGA activists

"So, right after the attack on the U.S. Capitol by his supporters, there's this draft speech written for him to give the next day, and he only gives it to try to avert himself from being forcibly removed from office by the cabinet invoking the 25th Amendment," Maddow continued. "In that speech, the draft of the speech says you don't represent me. You don't represent our movement. You belong in jail. He cuts all that and inside says you will pay, and by the time he's talking about it at his rallies, not only is no one supposed to be paying any more, now they are unfairly persecuted patriots who are all getting pardons if he gets to be president again."

She played the clip where Trump promises to pardon everyone from the Jan. 6 attack. He never did.

Maddow then cited former chief of staff to Vice President Mike Pence, Marc Short, who revealed that there is a grand jury investigation happening about Jan. 6 and the attempt to overthrow Congress and the election. It was known that there was a probe into the fake electors and some of the campaign specifics, but Short didn't work on the campaign.

“Grand jury subpoenas were sent to those who assisted in the organizing and planning of former President Donald Trump’s 'Save America' rally on the Ellipse near the White House," ABC News reported on Monday, citing a source. They went on to say that "prosecutors [are] seeking multiple records and documents related to the rally, including text messages and emails, as well as potential communications with other individuals regarding the logistics of the event."

Short also wasn't part of organizing the Jan. 6 rally nor did he have anything to do with it.

Maddow explained that all of this comes together for an extensive news day that all reveals shocking information from inside the GOP.

They 'lie for a living': Legal expert rails against Trump officials who say one thing to the J6 and another on Fox News

    Sarah K. Burris
    July 27, 2022

Acting Secretary of Defense Christopher Miller. (DOD photo)

Former President Donald Trump's lies were tracked by the Washington Post throughout his presidency, resulting in a list of 30,573 lies. According to Elie Mystal, legal analyst for The Nation and MSNBC, those lies appear to have trickled down to other staffers willing to perpetuate them.

The latest example, he explained, is a slate of Trump administration officials appearing on Sean Hannity's Fox show to explain Trump deployed 10,000 National Guard soldiers to the Capitol on Jan. 6 and jumped to help stop the violence. MSNBC's Chris Hayes played clip after clip of Hannity repeating the talking point over and over again. As recently as last month, Hannity was still spouting the lie he was told.

But there were two former Trump officials who knew better. Former Secretary of Defense Chris Miller and his chief of staff Kash Patel both said that they testified under oath to the House Select Committee that Trump called in the National Guard. As Hayes explained, it's illegal to lie under oath, but it's not illegal to lie on Fox News. So, when the House Select Committee published the audio of Miller answering questions under oath, it became clear Trump never called anyone.

"Lies, just lies, they just lie," said Hayes.

ALSO IN THE NEWS: Republican canceled his voter registration after 2020 Trump loss — so now he's disqualified from running for office

"Chris Miller might as well have said that, 'It's weird that people actually believe the words coming out of my mouth because who would do that?'" joked Mystal. "That was his testimony under oath this is exactly why the subpoenas are so powerful, but this is a lesson that we all need to learn and should've learned circuit 2015. These people lie for a living. All they know how to do is lie. If they're not under oath, everything they say should be viewed as a lie."

He went on to say that even if Donald Trump said that he had a cheeseburger for dinner MSNBC should put a voiceover saying that they couldn't confirm that fact and ensure they and every outlet independently verify every statement.

"Because all they do is a lie. That's all they know how to do," Mystal continued. "Remember Chris, a couple of weeks, go Cassidy Hutchinson testified and there is all this right-wing drama. Oh! Secret Service is going to testify! Tony Ornato is going to testify! Did they do that? No. That's because they were lying. They weren't gonna come under oath to lie so they just have to put this out there when everybody knew that Cassidy Hutchison was telling the truth."

He encouraged the rest of the media to catch up with the idea that all of the Trump people lie.

MSNBC's Media Hansen just made a major correction. We should no longer refer to Mar a Lago as the "Winter White House" because Trump is no longer in the White House. The proper term going forward should be the "Winter Warehouse." Please correct your records.

I think this is right. I admit to being personally shocked when Laura Ingraham of all people threw Trump under the bus and said its time to move on from him. I didn't think I would ever see that.

Morning Joe says Trump could lose more Fox hosts after Mar-A-Lago search: 'The news is going to get worse'

Former President Donald Trump appears to be losing one of his top conservative media allies, and MSNBC's Joe Scarborough said Republicans may finally be willing to cut him loose before he sinks their election chances again.

Fox News host Laura Ingraham said on a recent podcast that Americans are "exhausted" by the former president and may prefer to "turn the page" to another Republican presidential candidate in 2024, and the "Morning Joe" host said they'd be wise to do it sooner rather than later.

"I mean, from my point of view, that would be best for America, but from somebody's point of view who is interested in the Republican Party defeating Democrats, it would be in the Republican Party's best interest also if that's what they did," Scarborough said. "He has too many negatives. They say it time and again, that guy is not going to ever win back voters he lost in the suburbs of Atlanta or the Philly suburbs or the Detroit suburbs or any of these suburbs. He's toxic for 55 percent of Americans, and he's just never going to get those people back, so it does make a lot of sense."

The former president has been taking on water since the FBI searched his Mar-A-Lago residence as part of an espionage investigation, and Scarborough said his legal problems could sink GOP candidates this fall.

READ MORE: ‘The debt is due for Rudy Giuliani’ — and now he has a big decision to make in Georgia: reporter

"It makes sense to warn other Republicans, some whom have flocked to Donald Trump over the past week because they wanted to show how loyal they were to him, I mean, they're having trouble even keeping sort of the defense consistent because he keeps changing his story every three or four hours," Scarborough said. "One story contradicts another story. You know, we're just at the beginning of this. The news is going to continue to get worse. This is like the first round of Mike Tyson versus Allen, the boxing club champion of Princeton from 1967. It is not going to get better over the next 14 rounds."

"You know, it doesn't make sense for Republicans to embrace this guy, then be shocked by one revelation after another revelation after another revelation," he added. "They're going to keep coming."

But you gotta admit, his running for president again was at best a dim hope.
Doubtful he'd even get the nomination, if anyone at all with an ounce of charisma showed up.
Shooter had concluded Trump had about the same chance as Liz Cheney.

And then they raid Mar a Lago.
If they don't at minimum have the executive order that got Kennedy killed in those documents, or the coordinates of Jimmy Hoffa's body, they very probably reinvigorated Trump's campaign. As in, say hello (again) to President Trump.
They could have snatched defeat right out of the jaws of all but guaranteed victory.

And all they had to do was shut the fuck up and let Trump handle his own destruction.

It looks like MSNBC has picked a winner. I just watched Alex Wagner again and couldn't believe it the hour went by so fast. And she covered a very spectrum but covered all of the well. I was stunned to see the indoctrination DeSantis is trying to inflict on Florida teachers which is why their teacher shortage is so bad DeSantis is trying to put military veterans with no teaching degrees in the classrooms.

MSNBC’s Alex Wagner Debuts With 2 Million Viewers

MSNBC’s new 9 p.m. show, Alex Wagner Tonight, debuted with 2 million total viewers on Wednesday night. That impressive debut was enough to make Alex Wagner the most watched host on MSNBC, but not in cable news — Sean Hannity on Fox News landed first at 9 p.m., with more than 3 million viewers.

Alex Wagner is taking over the time slot from Rachel Maddow, who is only hosting her show on Mondays. Yesterday, Maddow raked in an impressive 2.75 million total viewers, which put her right on the heels of Hannity who brought in 2.83 million viewers on Monday.

On Tuesday night, however, Hannity well outpaced Wagner as he brought in nearly 3.1 million total viewers to win the hour.

CNN landed in third place at 9 p.m. with 866,000 total viewers and has yet to name a replacement for Chris Cuomo, who hosted the hour before being fired.

Good question. But then TS/SCI Special program access, human resources, and signal intelligence just laying around down at Mar a Lago is pretty hard to defend.

'Where are all the Trump defenders now?': former Republican Party chairman

    Sarah K. Burris
    August 28, 2022

Former Republican Party chair, Gov. Michael Steele (R-MD), covered for Jonathan Capehart on MSNBC Sunday as Donald Trump's classified document scandal grows worse and more serious.

"A hearing is scheduled for Thursday. This course comes after a redacted copy of the FBI affidavits which was used to justify the search of Mar-a-Lago, Trump's Mar-a-Lago 'home,' which was unsealed on Friday," Steele said. "Beginning that the FBI uncovered 184 classified documents back in January, including some marked top secret. There is one looming question here: where are all the Trump defenders now? I am old enough to remember when some Republicans were shouting in from rooftops, that the search was an abuse of power. According to Axios, there is a growing feeling among Trump's allies that the search was justified. Just listen to a GOP strategist Karl Rove had to say."

Rove, a conservative extremist, told the Fox network that stealing classified information is wrong, an opinion that has been only loosely suggested on the network in the past week.

Raw Story made the same observation last week. Republicans who were once calling out Trump for stealing documents are now suddenly very quiet. The New York Times similarly observed that Republicans were once outraged by the search of Mar-a-Lago, but now that more information is being revealed about what Trump took from the government, they too have gone silent.

'Trump is one with the fringe and crazy': Nicolle Wallace unloads on latest Truth Social rants

Donald Trump's social media website has been authorizing QAnon fanatics, but now Trump insiders on the site have taken the next step to promoting the QAnon world of conspiracy theories.

Speaking about the shocking morning of memes that Trump reposted, MSNBC reporter Ben Collins explained that Trump shared a meme referring to "The Storm," a QAnon conspiracy that says the so-called "deep state," Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, and Joe Biden will be "rounded up and executed in public."

"This is a very dark space for the ex-president to be headed," said Collins.

QAnon forums have been quiet lately, he said because they ran out of hope that Trump was secretly still running the country, or that he would somehow rise to power. Trump sharing their posts has fired them up again, said Collins. One of the posts from the former president said, “nuke them from orbit” a reference to Joe Biden and Hillary Clinton suggesting bombing them. Commenters begged for Trump to kill them in the comments.

IN OTHER NEWS: Brian Kemp's upcoming testimony could be a major problem for Donald Trump: legal experts

"Your Twitter feed is the stuff of my nightmares," MSNBC host Nicolle Wallace said of the screen captures Collins had posted. She said that she's been sending it around to political folks

She went on to cite a comment from Sen. Chris Murphy (D-CT), saying, "I just think everyone, including the mainstream press, needs to take seriously the growing culmination between Trump's operation, the extremist 4chan/Q crowd and the monarchist new right." She also played a clip of FBI Director Christopher Wray, who was appointed by Trump. Wray warned that there is a growing domestic terrorism movement from these groups.

Earlier Tuesday, it was revealed that the Google App store would not provide the Truth Social app to users because they don't have content moderation systems in place to ensure they could comply with the terms of service for Google's App store.

"There's such a -- I grapple with it myself — I did all day preparing for this hour," confessed Wallace. "There's such a temptation to say, 'it's the whack jobs,' 'it's the fringe,' 'it's not the mainstream.' But it feels like an urgent political mission -- and I think that's the point of Chris Murphy's tweet -- to explain that Donald Trump is one with the fringe and the crazy and the belief system that, again, is at the very intersection of ideology and domestic violent extremism."

Pollster Cornell Belcher explained that even if 5 percent of Americans buy into the QAnon conspiracies about assassinations, that's still 20 million Americans. Matthew Dowd noted that many of them are also armed, which the United States in a dangerous situation.

Deranged, Racist Host Fired by MSNBC in Surprise Move
    By Bonchie | 3:15 PM on November 04, 2022

Tiffany Cross spreads racist accusations on her MSNBC show. (Credit: MSNBC

The deranged, racist host on MSNBC has been fired. No, I’m not talking about that one. I’m talking about Tiffany Cross, who is the other deranged racist on the liberal network behind Joy Reid. Wait, Al Sharpton is still there, right? Now, I’m just confusing myself.

According to a report, Cross has been let go after a series of controversial remarks.

    https://twitter.com/jasonrantz/stat...-host-fired-by-msnbc-in-surprise-move-n654484

MSNBC has abruptly cut ties with weekend host Tiffany Cross, opting not to renew her contract after almost two years, Mediaite has learned.

Cross, whose Saturday show The Cross Connection was a source of controversy for the network, has not commented publicly on the cancellation. Her production team was told of the decision on Friday. They will remain at the network, a source familiar with the matter told Mediaite, as they currently work on MSNBC’s Sunday show in the same slot.

A source familiar with the decision told Mediaite that comments and coverage from Cross did not adhere to MSNBC’s standards. The source said she was repeatedly told this by the network. They added said this has been an ongoing issue, and concerns have been addressed multiple times.

Cross, who has long been a staple of bigotry and general insanity on MSNBC, had apparently been warned multiple times that her more recent rantings fell below the already low standards held by the network. They let Nicole Wallace rant like a conspiratorial nut every weekday, but declaring a civil war and encouraging Democrats to “pick up a weapon” was a bridge too far, I guess.

Did I mention Cross is a racist? She railed against minority GOP candidates earlier in the year, declaring that “faces of color do not always mean voices of color.” Apparently, the now unemployed far-left host believes she’s the arbiter of who gets to be a “voice” of color. Cross had also made certifiably psychotic “justice correspondent” Elie Mystal a regular on her show. Mystal declared to Cross in September that “white people turn violent when they don’t get their way.”

Here’s a sample of how Cross’ show typically goes.

    https://twitter.com/greg_price11/st...-host-fired-by-msnbc-in-surprise-move-n654484

I could keep going, but you get the idea. Cross is a crazy person, and it’s honestly a bit shocking that it took this long for her to get the boot. She’s been delivering bouts of deranged commentary for years, having become Joy Reid’s mini-me at the network.

And speaking of Reid, she’s got to be next right? Her ratings are terrible, and her show is no more measured or less insane than Cross’ was. In fact, Mystal has been a near-nightly guest for Reid as well. My suspicion is that MSNBC is just waiting for her contract to run out. Then she’ll get the same treatment as Cross, the far-left will cry racism, and we can all have a good laugh.

Most the treasonous conservative/America Hating/Republicans running around claiming to be Christians have obviously never actually read what Jesus taught and said.

Jesus responded: “Take heed that no man deceive you.

“For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: … and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows”
    (Matt. 24:3–8).

‘Morning Joe’: Scarborough Ridicules Religious Right for Embracing ‘The Antithesis of Jesus’ Teachings’ (Video)

The “Morning Joe” crew followed up their talk on the new Ron DeSantis ad about how God picked a “fighter” to become Florida’s governor with a conversation about many conservatives’ heightening politicization of Christianity.

Joe Scarborough started by explaining that Jesus’ humility was what “set him apart from those who ruled over him.” The “Morning Joe” host then went on to describe how the meaning of charity has since been warped.

“In ancient times, when you actually took care of someone else and you got nothing in return, charity was seen as a weakness,” Scarborough continued. “All of the things that we now have established in our culture as signs of strength — humility, meekness, kindness — all of those things are what the Romans didn’t understand.”

    Also Read:

Scarborough drew parallels between ancient times and the current socio-political landscape, particularly within the Republican party, indicating that the Christians’ humble values, instead of violence and fear mongering, are what led to their eventual revolution and takeover of Western civilization.

“I bring this up because [there is] a Republican [saying,] ‘If Jesus only had an AR-15 he wouldn’t have been crucified,’ thereby missing the entire central purpose of Christianity,” Scarborough said, paraphrasing Lauren Boebert. “I don’t bring this up to preach, I bring this up to show that the very basis of this new sort of Christian nationalism is the antithesis of Jesus’s teaching for 2,000 years.”

“What’s the political message given to so many Christians in the United States today? Fear, anger, fear, anger,” political commentator David French said. “There’s even a message now that says, ‘Look, many of these basic qualities that are required of Christians in the New Testament, those are for a different time, those don’t work anymore.'”

French doubled down on his point, proclaiming that the original “Christian values” have been tainted by fear, anger, and even violence.

“The words were clear: Bless those who persecute you. Pray for those who persecute you. Love your enemies. Kindness, faith, hope, charity. These are the messages given to an oppressed people,” French said. “A people that lived an experience that we can’t grasp today and yet the message to Christians right now is fear and anger, constantly. And as we saw for example on Jan. 6, it’s even warping into violence.”

Shooter doesn't know what your religion is, or if you have one even. And doesn't care.
The propaganda you posted is what shooter was responding to.

    Pretty desperate.

'Hillary Clinton was right all along' about Donald Trump: MSNBC's Mika

Donald Trump has been fighting the release of his tax returns since he first positioned himself as a presidential candidate, and MSNBC's Mika Brzezinski said their long-awaited disclosure proves he was always lying about them.

Trump claimed the returns couldn't be released during his 2016 campaign -- and throughout his presidency -- because they were under audit, but the House Ways and Means Committee concluded the IRS failed to audit his taxes, as required under a mandatory presidential program, for the first two years of his term and did not complete any of them.

"It proves that Hillary Clinton, was right all along," Brzezinski said. "Nancy Pelosi was right all along, Chuck Schumer was right all along. The Democrats were right all along. Reporting from the New York Times was right all along, Washington Post, too, was 100 percent correct all along. Donald Trump was not under audit. Donald Trump was lying. He was desperate to hide the truth from Americans."

"That truth, that far from being a shrewd businessman, he was, in fact, the biggest loser out of the 300 million Americans who filed their taxes with the IRS," she added. "The man lost more money than any other American, at a time when he was writing "The Art of the Deal," this was happening, and worse than that, the fact his own Treasury Department under the bumbling hands of Steve Mnuchin refused to audit the president after Trump got into the White House -- that's usually done. So that lie continued and continued and continued until last night."

Trump installed a loyalist as IRS commissioner in 2018 who had publicly defended his refusal to make public his tax returns, and that former official will likely be called to testify before the U.S. Senate after Ways and Means chairman Richard Neal (D-MA) called for legislation to codify mandatory audits for presidents.

"Republicans have definitely laid their bet -- they stand, some of them, by Donald Trump through dinners with Kanye West and white nationalists and stolen documents and saying the Constitution should be, whatever, redacted, gotten rid of," Brzezinski said. "It doesn't matter, but he was -- it does prove he was lying from the get-go. Will it move the meter?"
