On November 25, 1942, General Leslie Groves and J. Robert Oppenheimer agreed to and designated the future site of Project Y - the part of the Manhattan Project which would design and build the first atomic bomb, to be at Los Alamos, New Mexico.

 

And on November 26, 1942 the Russians installed their first spies at Los Alamos ............

 

I hope those Red spies were proficient with construction equipment. The facility opened its doors in January, 1943 and Project Y did not commence until April, 1943.

 

Well, probably not.
The buildings at Los Alamos are still pretty much there.
We know Russians can't build anything to last
