A member of the pro-Nazi group White Lives Matter of Ohio was arrested Friday after he allegedly threw molotov cocktails at a church planning to hold a drag event.

Aimenn Penny threw molotov cocktails at the Community Church of Chesterland, outside Cleveland, on March 25, according to investigators. The attack left scorch marks on the church and broke a sign, but did no significant damage.


Penny was charged with arson and possession of a destructive device.

He was a known figure in the White Lives Matter group, which protested a drag event in Ohio earlier this month with swastika flags, shouting slurs and praising Hitler, according to FBI investigators.

In an interaction with police at that event, Penny, who is white, said that he is awaiting a national race war, and that he believes all other races have to be eliminated for the U.S. to prosper, according to investigators.

Community Church of Chesterland plans to host a drag event on Saturday. The church has claimed to receive numerous complaints and threats about the event, and is anticipating “potentially violent hate groups” to protest, according to a Facebook post by church leadership.

After the attack, investigators were able to track Penny’s phone to the church on the night of the arson. The FBI then searched his home and car on Friday and interviewed Penny, who confessed, according to investigators.

He told investigators that wanted to “protect children and stop the drag show event.”



“Penny stated that night he became more and more angry after watching internet videos of news feeds and drag shows in France and decided to attack the church,” the arresting complaint says. “Penny stated that he would have felt better if the Molotov cocktails were more effective and burned the entire church to the ground.”


When his home was searched, investigators found Nazi paraphernalia including swastika flags, a While Lives Matter of Ohio shirt and materials like those used to create the Molotov cocktails.

Church leadership made a statement to its Facebook page shortly after the arrest.


“While we are sorry this happened and forgive the individual in question, we would like to see him prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law as a way to send a message to other like minded people and groups that violence as a form of coercion to advance any kind of agenda is unacceptable in 2023,” they said.

Trump judge and his family receive threats after New York arrest




In the 24 hours since former President Donald Trump’s arraignment, the presiding judge and his family have received multiple threats, two sources familiar with the matter said.

One official said “dozens” of threats have recently been directed at Judge Juan Merchan and his chambers but did not give an exact time frame for them.

The other source said Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg and other top officials in his office continue to receive threats. The threats have been in the form of calls, emails and letters.

The New York police detail assigned to the DA's office is providing extra security to all affected staff members. Court officers, meanwhile, are boosting security for the judge and the court as a whole as a precaution.


Other steps have been taken, as well. Online bios of employees at the Manhattan district attorney’s office were recently removed from the DA’s website, according to a source familiar with the matter, because of troubling posts on social media, including Trump’s Truth Social platform.

Trump and his allies have publicly criticized Merchan and his family, including his adult daughter.

Ahead of his court appearance Tuesday, Trump blasted Merchan on his Truth Social account as a "highly partisan judge" and said the judge and his family are "Trump haters." In the post, Trump said, "HIS DAUGHTER WORKED FOR ‘KAMALA’ & NOW THE BIDEN-HARRIS CAMPAIGN.”

The former president's adult sons, Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump, also posted links to stories from conservative outlets focusing on Merchan’s daughter’s employment.

Asked about remarks Donald Trump and others made about Merchan and his family, a spokesperson for the state court system said Merchan has no comment.

Merchan's daughter was listed during the 2020 election cycle as the president of Authentic Campaigns, a firm Vice President Kamala Harris used for digital fundraising and advertising during her presidential campaign. She was also listed as the president and a partner of Authentic Campaigns in a 2020 post on its website. Authentic Campaigns identifies itself as “a digital agency progressives can trust to get the job done right.”

Federal campaign finance reports show that Authentic has worked with a variety of Democratic groups, including Harris’ presidential campaign and Biden’s 2020 presidential campaign.

There’s no available evidence to suggest that Merchan's daughter has done any subsequent work for Biden and no evidence to suggest that she “now” works for a Biden political operation.

Authentic did not respond to a request for comment.

Trump was arraigned Tuesday on 34 felony counts of falsifying business records related to hush money payments made in 2016.

Asked by NBC News whether Trump’s re-election campaign is concerned that his direct attacks on Bragg and Merchan hurt his legal efforts, Trump spokesman Steven Cheung said Wednesday in a statement: “The Constitution guarantees impartial process and free speech. President Trump is laying out all the facts. Facts matter.”

Last month, Bragg received a letter containing a death threat and white powder. The FBI and New York police have said they were investigating.

The letter, addressed to Bragg, said, “ALVIN: I AM GOING TO KILL YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!” the sources said. It contained a small amount of white powder.

Another 4Chan troll has been arrested after threatening Florida Sheriff Mike Chitwood. He was living with his mother, the Daily Beast said.

Tyler Meyer, 30, of San Diego, allegedly made death threats against Chitwood on the anonymous message board website. It came after Chitwood condemned antisemitic incidents on Daytona Beach during the Daytona 500 and in Ormond Beach, said Click Orlando.

There were several guns, ammunition and electronics seized from his mother's home, the sheriff’s office said.

Another 4chan user was arrested in early March for allegedly similarly making threats. He, too, lived with his mother.

Chitwood trolled back after the arrest: “See you in sunny Florida,” he posted on Facebook with the mugshot.

“It’s too bad Mike Chitwood isn’t safe now that I’m planning to kill him,” Meyer allegedly wrote. “I’m going to shoot Mike Chitwood. I’m going to kill him by shooting him to death.”

When shown the statement, Meyer admitted he made the comments.

Tennessee Home of Progressive Journalist Shot at While Family Slept

A day before Tennessee Republicans expelled two Black members of the state legislature who had joined protesters calling for meaningful gun reform after a mass shooting at Covenant School in Nashville, where six people, including three children, were killed, the founder of a progressive news site, The Tennessee Holler, revealed that someone had shot up his home last weekend.

Justin Kanew wrote on Twitter that his home south of Nashville was hit by several bullets Saturday night while his family slept.

“We do not know for sure the reason for this attack,” said Kanew. “This violence has no place in a civilized society, and we are thankful no one was physically hurt.”


Among the state’s political class, Kanew is known for his intense scrutiny of Republican lawmakers, often filming them while following them to ask questions.

In Republican circles, Kanew is often described as a liberal activist, the Tennessee Outlook reports.


The state’s attorney general, Jonathan Skrmetti, commented on the incident as part of a general statement on recent events in the state.

“Over the weekend, an unknown assailant fired into the home of a local political activist while his children were sleeping inside,” he wrote. “I don’t know him personally, though I know I often disagree with him. Regardless of any differences of opinion, though, as a dad and as an attorney general, I cannot tolerate this attack against him and his family.”

Recently, state Senate Majority Leader Jack Johnson called Kanew a “jackass” and a “loser” after he questioned Johnson’s support for anti-LGBTQ+ legislation. Meanwhile, Gov. Bill Lee called Kanew’s question about a photo in high school of the GOP governor dressed in drag “ridiculous” as the governor was signing legislation that made Tennessee the first state to ban drag performance in public. However, a judge has temporarily blocked that law.

The Tennessee Holler published a blockbuster report in March that revealed the hypocrisy of Lt. Gov. Randy McNally, who often commented enthusiastically on racy Instagram pictures of a young gay man with whom he had maintained an extensive online friendship.

Kanew’s home was targeted less than one week after a shooter killed six people at Covenant School in Nashville, including three 9-year-olds.

He previously ran for Congress in Tennessee’s 7th District as a Democrat. He also appeared on the CBS competition show The Amazing Race.

Having filed a report with the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office, Kanew urged them to investigate further.

“The authorities have not completed their investigation, and right now, we do not know for sure the reason for this attack. We urge the Williamson County Sheriff’s office to continue to investigate this crime and help shed light on Saturday’s unfortunate events and bring the perpetrators of this crime to justice,” he wrote.

“In the meantime, our family remains focused on keeping our children healthy and safe,” Kanew concluded before adding that he would have nothing more to say about the matter for now and asking for privacy.

Colorado man arrested for threatening Black congressman: 'I got me a AK-47 pointed directly at you'

A man has been arrested after allegedly leaving violent and threatening messages for Rep. Joe Neguse (D-CO), according to KUSA.

"According to court documents obtained by 9Wants to Know, Michael James Kennedy allegedly made 'repeated telephonic threats of gun-based violence and retaliation' against Neguse," reported Kevin Vaughan. "'The repeated threats included a clear racial animus toward Rep. Neguse,' an investigator wrote in an arrest warrant affidavit."

Neguse is one of the only Black lawmakers ever elected to Congress in Colorado.

"According to the arrest affidavit, Kennedy is accused of making 17 separate threats – all on messages," said the report. "'What are you gonna do about me,' one message said, according to the affidavit. 'I got me a AK-47 pointed directly at you.' The most recent threat was made in June 2022, according to the affidavit. According to the affidavit, when Kennedy was questioned by Denver Police in June, he said he did not plan to shoot Neguse — that he 'intended to scare him' — and said he would not call him again."

Kennedy is charged with stalking, retaliation, and bias-motivated crime.

Threats against members of Congress and other public figures have become commonplace. Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) is a constant recipient of such threats, with one of the most recent coming from a lab worker in Indianapolis.

Last year, a mentally ill follower of the QAnon conspiracy movement was arrested after threatening to kill Rep. John Garamendi (D-CA) as well as FBI Director Christopher Wray. And in Texas, a fringe congressional candidate was arrested for death threats against Rep. Randy Weber (R-CA).

Well this is a step up from the old Jim Crow south. Back then White people could murder Black people because all juries were White and they would refuse to find another White person guilty. But in this case the White racist was found guilty by a jury of his peers and thanks to right wing howling the governor is just going to pardon him. Gov. Abbott, You Deadass? Pardoning An Open Racist For Killing A BLM Protester!

A Travis County judge unsealed court documents that revealed a series of racist social posts and messages shared by Daniel Perry, the man convicted in fatally shooting a Black Lives Matter protester, according to Austin American-Statesman. Perry’s conviction was recently challenged by Gov. Greg Abbott who sought to pardon him.



Perry issued a number of anti-BLM messages ahead of the shooting that seem to support his guilty conviction way more than the governor’s notion that he killed the demonstrator in simple self-defense.

“Black Lives Matter is racist to white people...It is official I am racist because I do not agree with people acting like monkeys,” he wrote in one post.

In other posts, he slammed the BLM movement for promoting a “victim mentality,” he argued that George Floyd wasn’t a martyr and made threats against BLM demonstrators believing they’d attack him because he is Jewish. He even made a post saying if people believe the Confederate flag represents racism, then so does the NAACP logo. Yes, you read that correctly. All these red flags and desperate attempts to justify his own racism sound more like he was looking for a problem July 26, 2020.

A day after the shooting, he sent a post to a friend that said, “I was attacked yesterday and I had to defend myself...”

Gov. Abbott Seeks a Pardon for Perry
Following the release of these unsealed documents where Perry proclaims himself as a racist, Gov. Abbott didn’t respond to the Statesman’s request for comment. Abbott announced he was looking to undo Perry’s guilty verdict, according to USA TODAY.

Though the jury found the man guilty as charged, Abbott said he planned to pardon him based on the state’s “Stand Your Ground” law.

Apparently, there was more than one Kyle Rittenhouse threatening the lives of demonstrators in 2020. Daniel Perry, now 35, was indicted in 2021 for fatally shooting BLM protester Garrett Foster in Austin three years ago. The report says Perry was an active-duty sergeant but doing Uber rides downtown the night of the protest. He was accused of driving his car through a red light directly into the march prompting Foster, who was carrying an AK-47 rifle, to approach the vehicle with a group of protesters.

Perry alleges he was threatened by Foster, shot at him five times with his firearm through the window of his car and drove away. Despite the impression that Perry instigated this interaction, his defense team argued he acted in self-defense. The jury wasn’t convinced and Perry was convicted on aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and deadly conduct charges.


Then, here came running Gov. Abbott, defending the reckless actions that led to the death of an innocent man.

Less than 24 hours after a Texas jury convicted Army Sgt. Daniel Perry of murder in the 2020 shooting of a protester, Gov. Greg Abbott announced on social media Saturday that he will pardon Perry as soon as a request “hits my desk.”

The unprecedented effort, which Abbott announced to his 1 million followers on Twitter, came as Abbott faced growing calls from national conservative figures such as Fox News host Tucker Carlson and Kyle Rittenhouse, who was acquitted in the shooting deaths of two Wisconsin protesters in 2020, to act to urgently undo the conviction.

“Texas has one of the strongest ‘Stand Your Ground’ laws of self-defense that cannot be nullified by a jury or a progressive District Attorney,” Abbott said in a tweet. “I will work as swiftly as Texas law allows regarding the pardon of Sgt. Perry.”

Texas’ “stand your ground” law states that a person does not have to retreat from using deadly force if they are in a place they have a right to be, not engaged in criminal activity and has not provoked their assailant. According to the order of events, Perry wasn’t assaulted by Foster but instead nearly assaulted a group of demonstrators with his vehicle who would have then had the right to “stand their ground” after being provoked. No?

Well, the jury found him not guilty of speeding his car into the crowd.

Nevertheless, this support from the we watched Kyle Rittenhouse kill two people and injure another after crossing county lines to counterprotest a Black Lives Matter demonstration and get away with it. Now, he’s an aspiring political figure, backed by Faux News and rallying for people to support Perry’s pardon.

However, Abbott’s pardon still needs approval from the Board of Pardons and Paroles (who were appointed by him). Pardons are usually announced every December, the report says. Until Christmas time, Perry will be sentenced and sent to prison.

Secret Service investigates gunshot fired outside Kamala Harris' residence

The U.S. Secret Service was investigating reports of a gunshot fired outside the entrance to vice president Kamala Harris' official residence.

Crime scene investigators responded to the reports of a single gunshot near the U.S. Naval Observatory around 1:30 a.m., and investigators found a stoplight whose top portion was shattered, reported NBC News.

"No one was reported to be injured and there is currently no indication that this incident was directed towards any protectees or the Naval Observatory," said Secret Service spokesman Lt. Paul Mayhair. "Roads around the intersection are temporarily closed due to the ongoing investigation."

The Secret Service cleared the scene and nearby roads reopened late Monday morning.
