It's been good. I did my errands early, before it got too hot - the supermarket, and picked up my new air fryer, but wasn't into the 'learning curve' involved with it, so I basically set it up but did nothing with it - it'll happen...

Watched 'Kill Bill 2' for the third time, and enjoyed it, even though I have been just slightly critical of its indulgences before. Tarantino is brilliant in his direction, but I feel his screenwriting labors too long on scenes that flesh out characters (when he's firmly established who the are and what they're about). He's the guy in charge, and nobody can tell him to stop his characters from babbling about incosequential shit. It's not nearly as intrusive into the story here as it was in 'Death Proof' (Fucking christ! shut the fuck up and make something happen!)

So... there's that.

Pretty good Saturday.

 

It was a lazy day.

Washed clothes then went grocery shopping like usual. Grabbed lunch at Schlotzsky’s. Walked cherrypup around block twice. Remainder of the day it was me around the house. Talked with nephew and middle brother.

Cooked Italian sausages, burgers and chicken on the grill.

For last few hours I have been laying on couch writing. It’s a quiet night.

 

Nice cool day at 105f, we worked in the garden and with the birds, the ducks are getting a bit fat but the pond will be done soon and the fish show up a few weeks later but for now I have to stop giving them treats. Celia is in her bath soaking while I am on the back porch with my bourbon and cigar waiting on her to join me.

 

It was okay. Got a nap in.

 

We woke up and fed the birds before breakfast, while we ate we decided to take a road trip. So for now we are in a hotel room on Possum Kingdom Lake on the road to Bandera. This was the last thing that I had to check off of my must do items on my Texas bucket list and we need to talk about the future, about what I want after my last breath.
For those that do not know the Texas bucket list.......

It was a long 10 hr day consumed of handling returns and answering calls one after another. It’s just crazy how busy we get.

Walked cherrypup around block and threw tennis ball.

Found out my fave metal band from Italy named Lacuna Coil is coming to town in October. Just need to buy tickets though it’s on a Thursday. It will be just me like usual. Plus they will have meet and greet with band which was separate cost. Long time since seeing them live.

It was a cakewalk of a day (except I didn't get any fucking cake!!!). Wrote, did some follow-ups with prospects in process, and fucked off a whole lot. I feel so... okay about that.

 

Made it to Bandera and got to float the river so Celia could understand why I love this place, we have a room in an old hotel where some famous people have stayed and at at a local café where I used to go. It was a perfect day,

It's been a good day, doing all my usual stuff - tomorrow's back east blog is in the can, already found a topic andwrote a few paragraphs for my Monday L.A. blog, had some interaction with clients and the office, and fucked off maybe 86% of the time.

Yeah... that's how homey plays...

It was long 10 hr day that consisted of phone calls about 80 percent of the time. Chatted with colleague throughout the day which is a fun. Found out we have news happening tomorrow during team meeting.

Spent the day in and around Bandera, ran into some old friends that had heard we were in town, they knew all of the places I loved to go so finding us was easy because I am a creature of habit and routine. We had a wonderful dinner at a local place and decided that we would leave early tomorrow morning to be home mid day, we both miss the birds and our own bed so it makes sense. Right now she is posting all of the photos that she has taken so far of this trip as well as the video of the fireworks at PK while I sit on the balcony smoking a cigar and drinking bourbon watching the few people still out come and go.

 

A good day for me IS when i catch a Real man with a Big Dick and je start his job of anal destruction...

today was good i transplanted some saplings and got some more going. the inlaws are back home and my castle is back to being mine.. tho its hot as fuck.

 

It was a normal day. Phone calls and normal were business as usual.

Found out today that my colleagues last day is next week. She found a new job close to her house that pays more. Chatted with her about my current job and possible opportunities.

As of news from work it was related to company taking employees to local lake that was shooting range. It will be all day event with food and transportation provided.

On top of that we having food brought in the office tomorrow for lunch.

It's been fine - one of those days that I do the bare minimum. Just not into it, but I published my back east blog and for my Monday L.A. blog, I found a good topic, jotted down my "H2" markers (SEO stuff) as a general outline and wrote a few paragraphs.

It's 101 at 5:34 pm and the A/C is totally stuffing up my nose, but it's cool...
