This thread brought back up, as twisted and skewed as it may sound, I tend to equate "love songs" to certain songs that I either used to dance to when I stripped or was working live peepshows. Just to show how much trouble I had with relationships back in the day, I cannot recall a single song that I ever danced with a gal in a bar, or had sex with playing in the background (I used to believe I was a butchy lesbian).

To that end, one particular set of many that always pops up into my head when I think of such times always ran the same. Perhaps simply because it was always well received, though more likely how I danced (or more ground around) on the final two songs, and all of them way out of date being the late 80's to early 90's. Only a few clubs could I do it in, and even then I had to be careful not to touch myself (my genitals).

The first was always "Thunderstruck by AC/DC." Men always get worked up by AC/DC, so I'd use it to get their attention focused, and get them into the set. In clubs where I could leave the stage and dance through the entire room it always worked best, in that I would dance it in a mix of a fast "strut," arms high over my head, and then shift into a somewhat tribal Native American war dance, covering a lot of floor quickly (used to make me laugh how the waitresses would try to clear the aisle-ways quickly often exclaiming "oh shit, here she goes!")



In any case, after getting them focused and perked up, I'd then move into the "love song part," and of course that started off with a tease. A lot of sway and squirm, some pole work mixed through it, and naturally I'd strip through it wanting to be nude by the third song. For that one I'd always use "When The Levee Breaks by Led Zeppelin." With the guys excited and wild due to Thunderstruck, it made them easily shift that energy to "sexual excitement." (though I'd dance a shorter version than below)



The final song was the "love song." Meant to give them somewhere to now focus that sexual energy, and I always imagined (and caught a couple times) the men jerking off as they watched, I'd "dance" ahem, to "Dazed and Confused by Led Zepplin."



There was actually little dancing to it. All of it on the floor, a lot of back work, never rising higher than my knees, I'd at first squirm and writhe around simulating (because you couldn't get too close to touching yourself) masturbating, then sucking cock, then being eaten, and a lot of languid love-making. When the song would pick up, and for the bulk of it make myself look as though I was flipped onto all fours and was being brutally fucked.

A lot of looking like being jerked back and slammed into by some phantom man, clawing to get away, and then finally giving into it and finally turning the tables on him. The responses were great. Many times I'd be told how the way I'd shake and be jarred, yet mostly my expressions and actions showed panic, pain and fear, yet then would shift into me looking frantic to get off on this phantom guy.

One time I was able to do it after-hours with a male dancer I knew, and we didn't have to be restrained or fake the sex.

In any case, that's an example of how I view "love songs" in my fucked up, twisted way.

As does Harlequin, April Wine and Trooper ... all Canadian bands. I never said it but would have worked for free with them over the years.

Can't forget REO Speedwagon as well.

 

I think that this is the one from my YouTube feed (old unused account anyway) and this was the first album that I ever worked on "professionally" and the boys have been close ever since.

They played a couple of my house parties over the years.

Good call on the song though.

"Cherish" by The Association, it's an oldie, but so am I. Every time I hear it I remember a girl I had a crush on in high school. It was a one sided and unrequited love, but I still remember it and her fondly after all these years. Go figure.
