A tip from Donald Trump’s social media site led to the fatal FBI shooting of a Utah man amid an investigation over allegations he threatened Joe Biden, NBC News reports.

Truth Social reported Craig Deleeuw Robertson to law enforcement after he made threats in March against Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, the outlet reported.

The FBI raided Robertson’s Provo home after the Utah man had made threats against Biden ahead of the President’s scheduled visit. Robertson was killed during an exchange with authorities who arrived at his home at around 6:15 a.m. on Wednesday to serve a search warrant, according to NBC.

An armed Robertson pointed his weapon at agents and failed to respond to their commands before they fatally shot him, a senior official told NBC News.

Leaked recording reveals Michigan Trump ally ranting about 'civil war' after fake elector wife is indicted

    Michigan Representative Matt Maddock.

Michigan State Rep. Matt Maddock, the husband of one of the 16 fake electors in that state who were indicted on multiple felonies last month, is warning that MAGA loyalists could escalate their violence to the level of war in an audio recording reported by The Messenger on Friday.

“If the government continues to weaponize these departments against conservatives and the citizens that are then the taxpayers, you know what's going to happen to this country,” Matt Maddock asks, according to the audio obtained by The Messenger.

After attendees at the event shout possibilities, Maddock answers his own question: “Someone's going to get so pissed off, they're going to shoot someone. That's what's going to happen. Or we're going have a civil war or some sort of revolution. That's where this is, where this is going.”

"The comments, which Matt Maddock made days after former President Donald Trump was indicted by the Department of Justice for his actions around the January 6 insurrection at the United States Capitol, came at what was billed as a 'Free The 16 Electors Poolside Party!' at the Maddock’s home, hosted by Grand New Party PAC, an organization that is 'working to renew the Republican Party from within,'" reported Dan Merica.

IN OTHER NEWS: James Comer's 'crazy trail' allegations should make swing-district Republicans nervous: Morning Joe

The event is intended to raise proceeds for their legal fund to fight "Evil AG Dana Nessel."

The fake electors, including his wife and former Michigan GOP co-chair Meshawn Maddock, are not the only ones facing legal consequences. The fake Trump electors in Georgia, including state party chair David Shafer, are under criminal investigation by Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, and the false electors in Wisconsin are facing a civil suit brought by two of the real electors and a voter.

The Michigan GOP has descended into chaos in recent months, after failed secretary of state candidate and QAnon conspiracy theorist Kristina Karamo took over as chair. Party officials are now warring with each other over the unclear state of their finances, culminating in a physical brawl at a GOP meeting that put one person in the hospital and has state officials investigating.

Indiana man charged with threatening to kill Michigan election clerk

Aug. 11 (UPI) -- A Carmel, Ind., man was arrested and scheduled to go to court Friday for allegedly threatening to kill a Michigan election clerk.

The Justice Department said in a statement that Andrew Nichols threatened the clerk in a voicemail that said in part: "We're watching your ... mouth talk about how you think that there's no irregularities. ... [Y]ou frauded out America of a real election. ... Guess what? You're gonna pay for it. You will pay for it. ... [T]en million plus patriots will surround you when you least expect it, and your little infantile deep state security agency has no time to protect you because they'll be bought out and we'll [expletive] kill you."

The DOJ said Nichols is charged with one count of making a threatening interstate communication, facing up to five years in prison if convicted.

The threatening voicemail added: "We will [expletive] take you out. [Expletive] your family, [expletive] your life, and you deserve a [expletive] throat to the knife. ... Watch your [expletive] back."

The FBI Detroit field office investigated the Nichols case.

This case is part of the DOJ's Election Threats Task Force, which was launched to "address threats of violence against election workers, and to ensure that all election workers -- whether elected, appointed, or volunteer -- are able to do their jobs free from threats and intimidation."

Since the 2020 election and the false claims peddled by former President Donald Trump that it was stolen, threats against officials, election workers and law enforcement ramped up.

Nichols' arrest comes just days after an armed Utah Trump supporter was killed by the FBI as they tried to serve a warrant for threats the man had posted against President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris and prosecutors bringing criminal indictments against former president Trump.

In 2022, an armed Trump supporter wearing body armor tried to attack the FBI office in Cincinnati. The man was killed as he fled from that office.

Federal prosecutors said Aug. 15, 2022, that a Pennsylvania man was arrested for making violent threats online targeting the FBI after agents searched Mar-A-Lago on a judge's warrant in the Trump classified documents criminal case.

Just funny as fuck. The police were to scared of him to actually go to his house and arrest Bundy. But they knew he could not stay there forever. And probably next up is he will make bail and then not show up for trial. So whoever put it up will lose their ten grand and then another bench warrant will be issued. And he will just keep sinking into more and more trouble. He may not think laws apply to him but they do. Even in Idaho.

Ammon Bundy Arrested on Outstanding Warrant at Son's Football Fundraiser

Just weeks after Ammon Bundy was ordered to pay a Idaho hospital more than $50 million for defamation, the far-right provocateur is in legal trouble again—spurring deputies to arrest him at this son’s Friday night football banquet.

The Gem County Sheriff’s Office confirmed to multiple outlets that Bundy was arrested on an outstanding arrest warrant in Ada County. The warrant, which was filed in April, came after a judge found Bundy in contempt of court for failing to show up for legal proceedings related to the civil defamation lawsuit filed by St. Luke’s Health System.

In a video posted on Bundy’s social media, he is seen handcuffed and escorted by at least three law enforcement officers out of an Emmett High School football fundraiser as attendees boo from their dinner tables. Jail records show that he is currently in Gem County Jail on a $10,000 bond.

Jury Decides Ammon Bundy Must Pay More Than $50M for Defaming Hospital

Bundy’s latest arrest immediately sparked outrage amongst his supporters, of whom several were seen outside Gem County Jail holding signs and yelling. HIs official Twitter account urged supporters to “Gather at Gem County Sheriff's office in Emmett if you can!”

The arrest is also the latest legal development in Bundy’s ongoing battle with the hospital after he organized days of protests after claiming an associate’s grandson was kidnapped when in reality he was taken into protective custody after officials determined 10-month-old “Baby Cyrus” was malnourished.

The protests spurred authorities to arrest Bundy, then a gubernatorial candidate, for trespassing outside of the hospital last March. At the time, Bundy insisted that the infant was “medically kidnapped” over a “missed non-emergency doctor’s appointment.”

The allegations spurred St. Luke’s Hospital to file a defamation suit against Bundy and his associate, Diego Rodriguez. Rodriguez is the infant’s grandfather and an activist in Bundy’s far-right People’s Rights Network (PRN).

Last month, after a trial where Bundy was a consistent no-show throughout the legal proceedings, a jury concluded that Bundy, Rodriguez, and their company owe the hospital $26.5 million in compensatory damages and nearly $26 million in punitive damages for defamation. After a judge issued a default judgment against Bundy and Rodriguez for failing to respond to the lawsuit, Bundy put out an emergency alert claiming officers were at his home.

Massachusetts man pleads guilty to bomb threat aimed at then-Arizona Secretary of State Katie Hobbs
    Associated Press
Fri, August 11, 2023 at 5:55 PM MDT·1 min read
    19

PHOENIX (AP) — A Massachusetts man has pleaded guilty to sending threats two years ago to Arizona Gov. Katie Hobbs when she was the secretary of state, the U.S. Justice Department said Friday.

James Clark, 38, entered a guilty plea to one count of sending a communication containing a bomb threat to an election official, according to a news release.

The FBI arrested Clark last year over online threats he made in February 2021.

According to prosecutors, Clark, of Falmouth, Massachusetts, sent a message through an online form maintained by the Secretary of State’s election department. He warned Hobbs she had to “resign by Tuesday Feb. 16 by 9 a.m. or the explosive device impacted in her personal space will be detonated.”

He also was accused of doing Internet searches of Hobbs' name with phrases like “how to kill” and “address.”

Clark's threat was one of countless threats made against Hobbs for her role in certifying the 2020 presidential election, which then-Republican President Donald Trump contended without evidence was stolen. Democrat Joe Biden was declared the winner in Arizona.

Clark will be sentenced on Oct. 26. He faces up to five years in prison.

The Justice Department says this case is an example of sweeping efforts by an election threats task force. An Indiana man appeared in federal court on Friday for an indictment in connection with a telephone threat made to a municipal clerk in Michigan following the 2020 presidential election.

In a statement, Attorney General Merrick Garland said Americans who run the voting system should not fear doing their jobs.

“As this case demonstrates, the Justice Department is investigating and prosecuting violations of federal law against election officials and election workers," Garland said.

'That's how fascists talk': Matt Gaetz flattened for threat of violence in support of Trump

According to an expert on authoritarianism, comments made by Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) on Saturday while standing with former president Donald Trump should raise flags as he promised to use "force" to create change in Washington, D.C.

Considering the former president was recently indicted for conspiracy related to the Jan. 6 insurrection that led to lawmakers fleeing for their lives, historian and author Ruth Ben-Ghiat called Gaetz comments alarming.

Speaking before a crowd at the Iowa State Fair on Saturday, Gaetz stated, "Mr. President, I cannot stand these people that are destroying our country. They are opening our borders. They are weaponizing our federal law enforcement against patriotic Americans who love this nation as we should," before adding, "But we know that only through force do we make any change in a corrupt town like Washington, D.C. And so to all my friends here in Iowa, when you see them come for this man, know that they are coming for our movement and they are coming for all of us."

Reacting to Gaetz's proclamations, Ben-Ghiat told MSNBC's Ayman Mohyeldin, "What he is saying is that they are not going to have change through elections or through legislation or through reform. They are going to have change through violence."

"And that's how fascists talk," she added. "So, even if Trump is out of the picture, these are people who have adopted methods very familiar to me as a historian of fascism, that violence and corruption and lying that's what the party is today."

MSNBC host begs for opposition to Trump's veiled calls for civil war: 'It's no longer hyperbole'

    Sarah K. Burris

MSNBC host Mehdi Hasan implored his viewers not to normalize Donald Trump's veiled calls for violence.

There has been an ongoing debate about giving Trump attention when he issues calls for protests, uprisings, or his allies' calls for outright civil war. Hasan doesn't care if Trump ends up getting more attention. He explained, political violence must be denounced, even if the Republican Party won't do it.a

POLL: Should Trump be allowed to run for office?

"I mean, can you imagine if any other presidential candidate in recent decades, [George W.] Bush, [Barack] Obama, [Bill] Clinton, [Mitt] Romney, [Joe] Biden had multiple supporters using their candidates language, being violent and threatening, getting killed by law enforcement while attempting violent crimes?" he asked at the top of his Sunday show. "Those candidates' campaigns would have been over before they began. But with Trump, we shrug. We accept it as just the way things are now. We should not. We cannot. We have to call it out. We have to condemn the violence and the incitement of violence. We have to take steps to prevent it from escalating out of all control. The threat of civil war of domestic conflict is no longer hyperbole. And so we just cannot afford to normalize political violence, and the threat of political violence in this country just because Donald Trump benefits from it and the Republican Party seems totally fine with it."

Barbara F. Walter, author of "How Civil Wars Start" penned an op-ed in The Guardian warning that the United States is a lot closer to such a conflict than the world seems willing to acknowledge.

Speaking to Hasan, she explained that most internal wars aren't like the U.S. civil war in the mid-1800s with two powerful armies attacking each other.

"In fact, the majority of civil wars, especially in the 21st century, or more, are what we call insurgencies," she said. "They are unconventional wars fought by multiple different militias. They use terrorism tactics. They don't try to engage the military. Instead, they take violence off into civilians, opposition leaders and judges who might be sympathetic with the opposition. That is the norm for civil wars, and we have been seeing an uptick in this type of violence for a number of years."

She went on to say that when people hear about attacks being "portrayed in the media as idiosyncratic or isolated or the result of someone who is unhinged or a bit crazy," they likely aren't as isolated as thought.

"Most of them since 2008 have been part of the far-right, and they are often times targeting minorities: African Americans, Latinos and Jews," she said.

Walter also said that most people understand who starts such wars and they're not the everyday working person. They typically are those who can afford financially and professionally to rebel.

See the conversation in the video below or at the link here.

'Our country can never let this stand!' Trump urges nation to rise up against his prosecution

Donald Trump on Monday continued to test a Washington D.C. federal judge who last week warned the former president against making “inflammatory” remarks against those in connection with his case.

Trump on his Truth Social website accused President Joe Biden of indicting him in his latest fiery post – and urged the country not to let it happen.

“I just hope Republicans, and the people of our now failing Nation, see what is happening to our Democracy and Freedom. A sitting President has INDICTED, in many different forms and locals, his political opponent, who is substantially leading him in the Polls,” Trump wrote.

“NOTHING LIKE THIS HAS EVER HAPPENED BEFORE. OUR COUNTRY CAN NEVER LET THIS STAND!”

POLL: Should Trump be allowed to run for office?

Trump’s post followed a series of social media posts that began early Monday morning, one of which targeted Judge Tanya Chutkan, who is presiding over Trump’s Jan. 6 election interference case.

“The following TRUTH is a quote by highly partisan Judge Tanya Chutkan, angrily sentencing a J-6er in October of 2022. She obviously wants me behind bars. VERY BIASED & UNFAIR!” Trump wrote.

Trump was referring to the judge’s remarks in October 2022 before the sentencing of Christine Priola of Ohio to 15 months in jail in connection with the attack on the Capitol.

“I see the videotapes. I see the footage of the flags and the signs that people were carrying and the hats that they were wearing, and the garb,” Trump wrote, claiming that he was quoting Chutkan. “And the people who mobbed that Capitol were there in fealty, in loyalty to one man, not to the Constitution, of which most of the people who come before me seem woefully ignorant; not to the ideals of this county and not to the principles of democracy. It’s blind loyalty to one person who, by the way, remains free to this day."

Chutkan at a hearing on Friday had warned Trump to tone down his rhetoric.

“I caution you and your client to take special care in your public statements about this case,” she warned.

“I will take whatever measures are necessary to safeguard the integrity of these proceedings.”

Trump supporters issue death threats and post addresses of Georgia grand jury members: report

Supporters of Donald Trump's have been finding ways to attack the members of the Georgia grand jury that passed down an indictment against their candidate, according to a report.

NBC News and MSNBC are reporting that fans of Trump are posting online the addresses of grand jury members whose names were included in the indictment.

Most social media sites have strict rules against doxing, so they are likely cropping up on anonymous message boards, but NBC noted that the network wouldn't reveal where the addresses are being posted.

POLL: Should Trump be allowed to run for office?

"The grand juror's purported addresses were spotted by Advance Democracy, Inc., a non-partisan research group founded by Daniel J. Jones, a former FBI investigator and staffer for the U.S. Senate Select Committee on Intelligence," said the report.

“It’s becoming all too commonplace to see everyday citizens performing necessary functions for our democracy being targeted with violent threats by Trump-supporting extremists," Jones said. "The lack of political leadership on the right to denounce these threats — which serve to inspire real-world political violence — is shameful.”

Also on social media are images of the people believed to be grand jurors, with posts claiming that they are supporters of Sens. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) and Raphael Warnock (D-GA), as well as former President Barack Obama and Black Lives Matter, the reports said.

"These jurors have signed their death warrant by falsely indicting President Trump," one post said on a pro-Trump forum, according to NBC News.

Making threats to or otherwise targeting grand jury members is illegal.

Trump-supporting woman charged with threatening to kill Judge Chutkan: report

A woman from Texas has reportedly been formally charged with threatening to kill Judge Chutkan, the jurist overseeing Trump’s federal criminal case over allegations that the former president attempted to overturn the 2020 election using unlawful means.

Abigail Jo Shry, of Alvin, Texas, is accused of threatening to harm Chutkan as well as Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-TX). In doing so, Shry alleged used racial epithets and promised harm to anyone going after Trump. Chutkan has been the subject of attacks from Trump himself.

    Local WUSA9 reports.

POLL: Should Trump be allowed to run for office?

“A Texas woman faces federal charges for allegedly threatening to kill the judge overseeing former President Donald Trump’s election fraud case and a Democratic member of Congress earlier this month,” according to the outlet. “In a criminal complaint filed Friday, federal investigators say Abigail Jo Shry, of Alvin, Texas, left a voicemail on Aug. 5 threatening to kill U.S. District Judge Tanya S. Chutkan and Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-TX).”

    The report continues:

“According to the complaint, Shry admitted to Department of Homeland Security investigators she left the voicemail, which began, ‘Hey you stupid slave’ followed by a racial epithet and then proceeded to threaten to kill anyone who went after Trump. That list included Chutkan, Lee, ‘all Democrats in Washington D.C. and all people in the LGBTQ community,’ investigators wrote,” WUSA9 reported. “’You are in our sights, we want to kill you,’ Shry allegedly said at one point, later adding, ‘If Trump doesn’t get elected in 2024, we are coming to kill you, so tread lightly, b****.’”

The article states that Chutkan, a "2014 nominee of former President Barack Obama, was assigned earlier this month to oversee the government’s case accusing Trump of conspiring to defraud the United States with his efforts to overturn the 2020 election."

Trump supporters making threats to Georgia grand jurors will be tracked down: sheriff

Threats against Georgia grand jurors have plagued the individuals that handed down the indictment on Monday, but the county sheriff is taking action.

In a statement released Thursday, Fulton County Sheriff Pat Labat said that his office is investigating every threat made – and anybody found to have made legitimate threats face consequences.

"The Fulton County Sheriff's Office is aware that the personal information of members of the Fulton County Grand Jury is being shared on various platforms," the statement explained. "As the lead agency, our investigators are working closely with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies to track down the origin of threats in Fulton County and other jurisdictions."

POLL: Should Trump be allowed to run for office?

He went on to reassure the public, "We take this matter very seriously and are coordinating with our law enforcement partners to respond quickly to any credible threat and to ensure the safety of those individuals who carried out their civic duty. If anyone becomes aware of a threat, please call 911 immediately or contact your local police department."

The legal site Lewis and Laws explained, "Generally, threatening someone with physical harm or death is considered a form of assault and can be punishable by law. In some jurisdictions, threatening to harm someone's property or reputation may also be considered a crime."

Threats against officials or judges are dealt with by U.S. Marshals and attackers could be charged with a felony.

    • As Trump racks up indictments, his supporters are threatening and doxxing judges and jurors.

    • Homeland Security alleged that a Trump supporter told a judge overseeing his case "You are in our sights, we want to kill you."

    • Far-right message boards also lit up with violent threats against grand jurors in Georgia after Trump was indicted (again) this week.
Former President Donald Trump went on the attack this week after he was hit with a fourth criminal case.

And as the former president keeps racking up indictments, his most extreme supporters are stepping up their rhetoric too, escalating their threats against judges and jurors involved in handing down those indictments.

A Texas woman was arrested last week after the Department of Homeland Security said she made death threats against the Washington, DC, judge presiding over the special counsel Jack Smith's 2020 election interference case against Trump.

Abigail Jo Shry called Judge Tanya Chutkan, who is Black, a "stupid slave," adding, "You are in our sights, we want to kill you," according to an affidavit from a DHS officer.

"If Trump doesn't get elected in 2024, we are coming to kill you," Shry said in the August 5 voicemail, the DHS alleged. "So tread lightly, bitch ... You will be targeted personally, publicly, your family, all of it."

Shry told Department of Homeland Security officials that she didn't really mean she'd kill the judge, according to the affidavit — but she's still facing a federal charge that carries up to a five-year sentence.

The Houston public defender's office representing Shry did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Other Trump supporters online discussed targeting the grand jurors in another Trump case, according to media reports.

After Georgia prosecutors indicted Trump and 18 other co-defendants in a sprawling RICO case, far-right message boards lit up with threats of violence against the grand jurors — whose names were listed in the indictment — who voted to charge the former president.

One user wrote that the list of jurors' names was a "hit list," Media Matters reported. Another user responded, "Based. Godspeed anons, you have all the long range rifles in the world."

A user on a pro-Trump QAnon message board posted the names of the jurors and their purported addresses, Media Matters reported, and a user on another message board threatened to "follow these people home and photograph their faces."

Prosecutors had flagged the potential risks associated with indicting the former president who's been outspoken against his perceived enemies.

Earlier this month, Smith's office asked Chutkan to issue a protective order in the January 6 case, and specifically cited a Truth Social post in which Trump wrote, "IF YOU GO AFTER ME, I'M COMING AFTER YOU!"

Prosecutors wanted to limit what evidence Trump and his lawyers could disclose to the public.

These limits were essential, they argued, because Trump "has previously issued public statements on social media regarding witnesses, judges, attorneys and others associated with legal matters pending against him."

Trump's campaign defended his Truth Social post as constitutionally protected free speech.

Chutkan ruled that Trump could review the discovery materials — but that he couldn't bring his phone or other electronics while doing so. The judge also warned the former president about making "inflammatory statements."

"I intend to ensure the orderly administration of justice in this case as I would with any other case," she said. "The more a party makes inflammatory statements about this case which could taint the jury pool or intimidate potential witnesses, the greater the urgency will be that we proceed to trial to ensure a jury pool from which we can select an impartial jury."

    So what happens next?

The jurors are to scared to serve and try to get by saying I am a Trump supporter he's innocent or he guilty I support the Democrats or says i have read so much in the media i will not be able to tell the deference what i hear in court and what i have seen online.Or the state or defence object to them.

Some of them falling ill with stress or them or there familys being run over by a car.

The witnesses to scared to give testimony

Or suddenly there's a large number of house fires when they are at court or car brakes fail

It will be impossible to protect everyone involved some of them for years
